Ewan walked out the outskirts of his new pack lands, the Order of the Rose. He had finally joined a pack that he believed would protect all the things that he would protect also. The green male jumped over a fallen tree long sincce dead and sniffed the air. There was another not far away, definatly a female. His tail went up and he began walking towards the female, maybe she was just passing through.

Aya's 'long walk', as she was beginning to think of it, had taken her inland, following a long river towards a lake. She'd spent a few days there lazing in what seemed to be land which was free from occupation and filling her belly with fish. She was a decent fisher and it was the right time of year for it, but she was so damned lonely that, despite the paradise that the beautiful lake represented, she decided to move on.
She had veered away from an area where she could smell smoke and two-leggers on the wind and gone around the other side into an area more densely forested. It seemed like there might be others here - a light scent of wolf, some fur caught in a low branch - and she continued on, hoping to find someone friendly to assuage her need for company. She was a sociable wolf, always had been, and couldn't abide this constant loneliness.
