~Durarara Licensed Dubbed~
It was expected but never so soon, durarara have been licensed.
Three voice actors were announced for the dubbed yesterday at Otakon's american aniplex's panel.
Celty is going to be played by Kari Wahlgren who is famous for voicing as Haruko in FLCL Fuu (Samurai champloo,) Rip Van Winkle(Hellsing Ultimate), and Kagami Hiiragi (Lucky star). Mikado is going to be played by Darrel Guilbeau who plays
Satoshi Hojo (When They Cry - Higurashi).And finally, Shizuo is going to be played by Crispin Freeman who has too many famous roles to list.

I would have spazzed out at Crispin Freeman playing Shizuo, but my parents were asleep -_-;
But that makes me SOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY
CRISPIN FREEMAN FTW
No doubt he will pull off a fabulous Shizuo mrgreen

OMG, YESSSSS!!!!!xD I'm so getting it once it gets one DVD!!!! mainly for subs, XD but Crispin Freeman seems to fit Shizuo ok for me. =) I hope it will work out, unlike what sadly happend to Vampire Knight dub. T.T so disapointing.

As long as they don't slaughter the pronunciation (which would be hard to do for this series) I'm happy.

I second Heiwajima-san. When I read that statement I remembered several series that failed in that way -____- I remember watching Tsubasa and Tomoyo called Kurogane, kuro-gay-ne -FAIL-

I doubt they will, though Mikado's last name might be hard for some people
But it won't turn into a disaster like the Last Arbender movie D:
They need to find the right VA to match Mamoru Miyano's energy with Kida

If only they can get Chris patton as Izaya,
In Chrno Crusades, Chris patton voice a character name Joshua who has a demented and childish. That fits Izaya perfectly.
unfortunally youtube knocked up off all english dub of chrno crusades, (If you do find it online, check out the end of episode 2 to find joshua)

And haha, insanity is hard to dub. Look at Higurashi. They epic failed on the laughs.
Hopefully, they won't be disappointing in the future, I look forward to everyone else's dub in the end. <3

Yes, kridnor! I have seen Chrono Crusade, and I absolutely adore Chris Patton <333
Maybe Johnny Yong Bosch might make a good Izaya? He actually plays a very convinving villain, even though Izaya is more of a psycho sweatdrop

I hope they pronounce the names right unlike some of my classmates that go like
Mikado- Mi-kaa-doe (and they couldnt pronounce his last name) and Masomi- Mass-omi (But they got his first name right XP)
I think the only name they got right was Simons : P

heheh, that reminds me of the bleach notebook I had, and one of my classmates asked me what the names o all the characters on there were, and the only one he liked was Chad cause he could pronounce it. xD
Yeah, I have the feeling someone's going to pronounce Ryuugamine like "Ruu-ga-mie-ney" or something. *shudders*
