Aries: Those associated with Aries often make good leaders, albeit fiery, impassioned ones. They generally do not like losing anything or to anyone. Being fiery, quick ones, they often make mistakes resulting from haste or their temper.

Taurus: Those associated with Taurus are often patient and hardworking, and can endure a great deal for a long period of time. They're not famous leaders or fiery spirits, but they're steady. Unfortunately, they can be stubborn and overly possessive or materialistic.
Elemental Control: Earth
Gemini: Those associated with Gemini tend to be very clever and very good at communicating. If anything, possibly too good, though they can be a superb source of information. However, they can be dreadful gossips and misinformants, and they sometimes say things they don't mean.

Cancer: Those associated with Cancer are, surprisingly, sensitive and sympathetic. They're often the good friends and lovers of others, but they can give their hearts too readily. Mood swings and oversensitivity are often trouble for them.

Leo: Those associated with Leo often make leaders, too, albeit more creative and kinder ones than Aries elders. It's hard to say whether the Leo elders or Aries elders are more confident, but the followers of Leo are prone to vanity and arrogance, surprisingly.

Virgo: Those associated with Virgo tend to be helpful, practical, and knowledgeable. They embody some of the same kind and helpful personality features as Taurus elders, but they are vulnerable to being overly critical or even a**l-retentive.
Elemental Control: Earth
Libra: Those associated with Libra tend to get along with most Stars they meet and fit very neatly into society...sometimes even becoming a sort of focal point of a community. They make good ambassadors and go-betweens, but they will sometimes sacrifice what is right and good to stay socially acceptable.
Elemental Control: Air
Scorpio: Those associated with Scorpio are the sort you want on your side and not as your enemy: they are brave, loyal, and determined. They're not dark sorts; they're just very selective and driven sorts. However, they are also capable of being fanatical, jealous, and even vindictive.
Elemental Control: Water
Sagittarius: Those associated with Sagittarius often have a good idea of where they're going over the long haul and can draw those around them along with them. They're generous and honest more often than not, but they can be over-optimistic and a little too free in leading the Stars around them toward the future THEY see, instead of what others see.
Elemental Control: Fire
Capricorn: Those associated with Capricorn work hard, are dedicated, are driven, and have confidence that they will achieve their goals--sooner or later, which can make them very good, if overenthusiastic, help, but are prone to negativity, depression, and unnecessary materialism.
Elemental Control: Earth
Aquarius: Those associated with Aquarius are extremely intelligent and very much the dreamers and the idealists. Despite the fact that they can be superb company for anyone, most Aquarius elders are also not going to follow the social norm. The Aquarius elders have sometimes said that Aquarius did question the Great Star Council as to why the Thirteenth Sign was not summoned, but the truth and the response are secrets known only to the Aquarius elders.

Pisces: Those associated with Pisces tend to be very perceptive, altruistic, and sensitive, making them usually amongst the very kindest and wisest of all elders. However, they are prone to negative moods and falling in with the wrong crowd by accident.
Elemental Control: Water
Ophiuchus: Those associated with the Thirteenth Sign, Ophiuchus, are rather hard to understand. Those associated with the dark aspects of Ophiuchus are social outcasts by choice, and generally not going to be your friendly or cuddly type. The personality of a Dark Ophiuchus elder ranges from the "Get off my lawn!" types to the "Look at me in a way I could persuade myself is wrong and I will kill you" types.
While those of the Light side of Ophiuchus can range anywhere from the types that will give you the shirt off their own backs to those whom only help to get something out of the situation for their own gain.
As stated above, the Elders of Opiuchus believe that their Sign was slighted by the Great Star Council and follow Ophiuchus to ease the Sign and to serve as a sort of balance for the world and the actions of everyone else. How this works is not clear to even other elders, but it makes them generally self-righteous types in addition to a possible attitude problem. They are smart, perhaps smarter even than the Aquarius elders, and, although they do not get along in the least with just about any other Star, they do seem to be closer to the Aquarius elders for a variety of reasons kept privately to the two factions. The Ophiuchus elders believe that if they cease to balance the world, an apocalypse of some sort will occur to end this universe and begin the next; manically depressed Ophiuchus elders become apathetic, at which point the other Ophiuchus elders will "put them out of their black hole of misery." Ophiuchus elders also have a unique elemental control only they possess. However, since Ophiuchus elders are rare and difficult to RP, at best, only one Star per year will become an Ophiuchus elder. The other Signs will take an unlimited amount of elders. Shop event elders do not count against the annual limit, and neither do bribe elders.
