Kiraki stepped through the forest, inhaling happily. Her wonderful mate, Lapiette, and her were on a nice calming excursion away from the kids. Just the two girls, enjoying an evening out. She never spent such nice quality time with her mate, it seemed. And though Lapi was always so negative about their relationship, anyone who saw the two of them couldn't deny the fact there was definitely something there. Even someone as dense as the pale hind with the little hat, Kiraki.
"Oh Lapiette, it's just wonderful here~!" she breathed, pausing from her prancing to glance back at her, and take another look at her. Silky white hair kept up gracefully in a dark blue bow, lovely blue eyes, and a fragile pair of butterfly wings adorning her back. Clearly, she was the definition of beauty.

Not far behind the pale cream-colored Hind followed her mate, Lapiette. Lapiette wasn't to thrilled to be seen out with Kiraki, or wasn't acting like it. Inside she was practically jumping for joy but, for some reason or another she never wanted to admit this to even her own mate.
"Moi guesses iz okay..." she trailed off glancing at her mate before quickly looking away and blushing. Truth be told the butterfly-winged hind was extremely excited to be with her wife, especially without their needy fawns tagging along and ruining the moment.

Kiraki smiled at her mate. "Only okay?" She giggled and pranced over to a bush, pulling out a single pink rose with her mouth. She stepped back over next to Lapiette, moving in close to her face, smiling and looking at Lapi with her pale purple eyes. "For you, Lapi, honey?" she said, offering the rose carefully.
Despite all the denial Lapi had, she did agree to be her mate, and did have children with her. Sometimes Ki wondered if she did have feelings for her... And the rest of the time, Ki didn't care what Lapiette felt about it, and would continue to love her forcefully.

Lapi watched her mate curiously before she realized what she was doing. "A flower for moi? Vous iz so sweet!" her mind screamed inside her head at the offering of the single rose. The purple delta took the rose from her mate, momentarily bumping noses with her mate. For a brief second Lapi's true feelings for Ki showed through her act, that however, was over in a flash.
After placing the rose under her ribbon around her next the flutter Herla looked away again, blushing. "Iz not like zis flower made moi like vous anymore of anyzing."

Kiraki smiled slightly, and nuzzled her mate under her chin, careful not to disturb the rose that sat wonderfully there. "Is that so?" she whispered. "Anyway, that poor flower is ashamed to rest on you, since it's no where near as pretty," Kiraki said happily. Of course her mate would be no one but the most beautiful hind in all the hartlands, a girl of fantastic breeding, with an impeccable senses of fashion and taste, much like herself.

Lapiette blushed again but, this time she didn't hide it. She was sure they were alone now and was letting her guard down slightly.
"Of course zee flower would to being jealous of moi." she said matter-of-factly, flipping her hair gracefully. "No one iz as beautiful as moi except maybe..." Trailing off Lapi nuzzled next to to her mate's ear and whispered, "...vous."

Kiraki smiled blissfully. So being alone with her was the key to getting to the wonderful sweet side she knew her mate hid. The adorably denying side was lovely, with the blush on her cheeks as she said 'I do non like vous.' But this side was nice...
She nuzzled her mate more, giving her a nosebump as she pulled away. "Let's go find a nice clearing to rest, Lapi honey." she said to her, smiling.

Lapiette wiggled her fluffy tail and returned her mate's affections with a lick on the cheek. Truth is this is the first time she had ever openly admitted her affections to her mate and it was, to say the least, very refreshing.
As her mate began heading off to find a clearing she paused. "But...what if someone iz to be seeing nous?"

Kiraki was surprised by the lick. Her mate wasn't usually affectionate, and she wasn't used to it, and probably wouldn't ever get that used to it. It was a pleasant surprise, however, and Ki didn't mind it at all.
She started forward to look for a clearing. "Well if someone sees us, we just scream and call them perverts for looking at us without our permission, of course~" she said, giggling, and running to look ahead.

"But..." Lapiette trailed off as she watched her mate dart ahead. Kiraki was so excited about finding a clearing and Lapi would hate to upset her at this moment. She would have just rather stayed right here, it was quiet and peaceful with no prying eyes. The flutter Herla wasn't sure if she was comfortable with others seeing them affectionate, despite the fact they already had kids.
A slight frown crossed her face as she followed after her mate, reluctantly.

Kiraki carefully slipped through the trees, determined to find the perfect clearing. One with soft grass and a fragrant smell, deep within the woods so Lapi would feel safe. Then the two of them could rest, a perfect place for the two beautiful hinds to share affections and deep unwavering love.
She slowed down as she neared a nice one, with thick trees surrounding it. She began inspecting the grass, making sure it was perfect, and sniffed at the flowers. Yes, this one was nice.
"How about this one, Lapi sweetheart?" Kiraki said grinning, turning back to look at her mate. "This looks like a very nice one for us to snuggle in!" she said slyly.

Lapiette followed her mate into the clearing. It seemed nice enough, the grass was soft and the flowers were a nice touch. She couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching them (paranoid much Lapi?). Crossing to the other end of the clearing, she peeked her head through the trees, making sure no one else was around.
Since they were in the middle of the forest, deep in the forest as a matter of fact, she saw no one and returned to her mate with a smile. "Looks like nous are to being all alone" she said with a playful smirk, laying down in the grass and wagging her tail in a "come hither" motion at Kiraki.

Kiraki curled herself around Lapiette, enjoying being so close to her. "It's so wonderful to be alone with you, Lapi. I love our kids and all but..." she began, resting her head on her mate's neck. "But I definitely love you more." she said happily, nuzzling her cheek.
"Maybe when the kids are grown... we could have more of them. Like what Pet did, with her fifty thousand spawn. Except ours are and would be way more beautiful and fabulous~" Ki said, her eyes getting big at the prospect, "So many beautiful babies from us, roaming the hartlands..."

Lapiette sighed happily and rested her head on top of her mate's. It was nice to be away from everything, especially the kids. She smiled at her mate, nodding. "Our kids are indeeds ze beautiful...if not to being a little annoying. Moi rather enjoys to being with just vous though."
She smiled lovingly at her mate, nuzzling her. "Moi would like zat a lot...though zis time we need to make sure zey don't to be going back into zeir thickets." She frowned slightly, just the thought of Armani making her fume.
