The City of Darkness

Alison looked down the dim street. Highway lights that lined the street began lighting up as the Sun slowly set. She looked around her. There was the Flower Woman who sold fresh picked flowers from her home garden. She had a little cart that held many multicolored flowers. They were the brightest thing in the whole city and even they were dim. On the other side of the street was the sweet bakery. It held a little collection of assorted cakes, cupcakes, pies and many other things. A cold wind blew by her causing her ruffled little skirt to float in the wind. Her tall white socks provided little warmth for he legs. With another quick look down the street she ran across and quickly ran into the bakery.

*Carlissa wakes up and fixes a coffie she looks around she sits at the coffie and then walks outside, she notices it is pitch black no one is to be seen not even the flower woman, she sees a girl running for teh bakery she locks up her own house and runs after her she makes it inside the bakery*

"Can you tell me what is going on"

*Quin walks down a dark narrow street. he thinks that the day is going well so far, the gloom is just the way he likes it. he hears a set of footsteps on the next street, then a second set, he thinks he will investigate. he quickly approaches the bakery where the 2 people seem to be meeting*

Carlissa looks around as she sees a man aproching threw the glass she looks in his direction then back at teh girl.

*quin enters the bakery, and looks at the 2 girls*

can i get a dozen blue berry muffins?

Carlissa looks at the man and then looks around

"Something weird is going on do you not feel it?"

Alison looked over at the other two quickly then she turned to the baker. "May I have a cup of tea? It's very cold outside.....' The baker nodded and handed her a steaming cup and and she picked out a tea bag from the little collection of assorted herbal teas. She let her tea began to seep as she sat down at a small table that sat by a window overlooking the street. She then lightly spoke to the girl. "I don't quite know what you're reffering to..."

are you new in town? its always like this, i like it cold and gloomy.

"I'm kind of new i guess you can say, but i lived here as a kid... things have just changed so much it just doest feel right to me any more

Alison smiled. "I agree. For some reason the gloom is nice. The only thing diffrent right now is that it's oddly colder than usual. It's a little uncomfortable but It's bearable." She walked back up to the baker and bought a warm crossant. She payed him and sat back down and began to eat.

i just think something bad is about to happen

*walks up and orders a cup of coffie and a cupcake she paies and sits all alone at her own, she sighs... and takes a sip*

"i can since something... something bad" she whispers

"I guess now that you say that it IS pretty deserted... I've only seen the baker and you two in the last week. I've been shut up in my house but I haven't even seen people walking by..." Alison said quietly.

*carlissa looks out teh window as she takes a sip of her coffie and then eats a bite of her cupcake*


"I just gont get what is going on........"

Alison smiled and ate another bite.

"oh that, i suppose i haven't seen many people lately but I've been working pretty hard in my lab, so i haven't really noticed."
*sits down beside the girl who eats food*
