mine would be gundam SEED because it is a lot like the first series. well the main charectors are like their enimies a lot because if char and aumro were both on the same side of the war they probabley would have been friends like kira and authurn friends to enimies

Phantom Theif Dark mine would be gundam SEED because it is a lot like the first series. well the main charectors are like their enimies a lot because if char and aumro were both on the same side of the war they probabley would have been friends like kira and authurn friends to enimies They actually DID fight together in Zeta Gundam. But they just don't get along, they both have conflicting philosophies and hate eachothers guts. My favorite series is currently After War Gundam X, It's an interesting look at what could have happened during the one year war and the newtypes and their impact on normal humans.

Well, To say it more accurately, Kuruuze is more of the char clone from the series... Only difference was Kuruuze was mental and char was a ***** (He apparently had a relationship with Haman when she was 14, and let's not forget Char's counterattack!)
Kira is similar to Amuro with the whole brown haired "abnormal" teenager pushed into piloting a Gundam and does so better than actual military people and learns the controls in all of 2 seconds, then proceeds to beat off an enemy attack... But, I think that's the end of similarities as far as characters go.
My favorite series is 0080 because of the ending. It's the only anime that's ever genuinely brought me to tears... 0083 was good, but made a few "errors" within it, lets say, that lead to plot holes... The only plot hole with 0080 I have is the fact that the feds ran out of Gundam frames to build mobile suits on. (If people are interested in this, i'll post the history I remember in a new thread)

The problem with that is, One Zaku and one Gundam cannot take on a zeon fleet. They'd fail. Then they'd abort the nuke because Gundam was destroyed. This would alter the history of Anaheim's 0083 project, as the chobham would not have been carried onto the newer GM type.

I think it would have been rather corny to have them team up, beat the bad guys and have a happy ending like that. Thank kind of thing belongs in Wing, not UC era IMO.

Thank kind of thing belongs in Wing, not UC era IMO. I agree, it takes out the realism of what war truly is to have everyone alive and well in the end of a series. For instance, Shiro losing one of his legs or Camille getting veggified. If either of those were taken out, the entire impact of the ending of the series would be changed. My favorite series, Zeta, and not just because of my heart Haman-sama heart . I liked the overall plot, showing how the once good-guys became bad, and some of the old good guys fought against the new bad-guys. Best pilot from the series, IMO, is definitly Haman Kahn. Camille would take that place, if he hadn't used the biosensor.

My favorite series is a tie between Mobile Suit Gundam and Zeta Gundam. Both are excellent and have a lasting impact on my fandom.
I also really like Gundam 0080 for its character development. Like him or not, Al Izuruha growth in such a short time really impressed me. The OVA didn't have a whole lot of action like 0083, but it's the story that moved me. I was a bit shaken up during the last 10 minutes of the last episode, even though I knew what would happen (read spoilers before lol). I think 0080's quite underrated.
