Kaori walked through the door of the Sixth Division quarters and received a few greetings from fellow Shinigami. She quickly walked on and entered her room.

She stopped at the entrance of her room when she felt a faint stirring of spirit particles in the air. My imagination? Can't be.

Suddenly, she felt a stabbing pain and she clutched her chest, breathing heavily. Stay where you ARE! her mind commanded. The pain subsided and Kaori straightened up and closed her eyes, regulating her breathing. She decided to head back to the Training Room. Might as well finish my promise. she thought, walking off.

Shiki set Kaori down on her bed and turned to leave.
"W-wait.....tell the Headcaptain my report. Please Shiki?"
She gave an imperceptible nod and walked off.

Shiki appeared in the doorway instead. "She's sleeping but you can check on her all the same." she said expressionlessly and stepped aside from the doorway.

He opened the door slowly, and walked inside, looking at her, she seemed ok, just needed her rest, "Good, then you rest now." He walked out and closed the door.

Kaori woke a few hours later. She felt under her shirt for the wound and found it bandaged. She winced when she got up to stand and looked around. Shiki, what happened?
You were out for a couple of hours. I gave the Headcaptain your report and he came to check on you but you were asleep. I'm fairly certain that they went to the Vizard Warehouse to discuss the treaty.
"What?!" she shrieked aloud. She quickly threw on her uniform and was out the door in less than a second.

Kaori was carried through the door of her room.
Shiki put her down on her bed and started peeling off the soaked bandages. She quickly replaced them and cleaned up her wounds. "If you don't stop doing reckless things you really are going to kill yourself one day."

Kaori tensed when she heard a knock at the door. She gave a nod toward Shiki.
Shiki opened the door and stepped out, closing the door behind her and hiding Kaori from view. "Yes Headcaptain?" she said, nearly sneering at the title as if it didn't suit him.
