As the name of the thread says, this is an X-men roleplay. This should be fun. It's probably gonna be like the highschool roleplay but with super powers. Teachers will be needed just as much as students so lets note let staff positions go neglected please.

Here is the character skeleton.

Name:
Age:
student/staff?:
Powers (I wont put a limit on them but please be sensible. If the power is strong then please give it a downside.):

Name: Hayden Claris
Age: 22
student/staff?: Librarian
Powers (I wont put a limit on them but please be sensible. If the power is strong then please give it a downside.): Like rogue, Hayden can absorb the powers of others and their life force for one permanently, but at half strength. However there is a downside, Hayden's touch is far more deadly. If he touches for more then 10 seconds the person he touches is dead with no return. This has isolated him from others perminantly.
Appearence description: Chestnut brown hair, chocolate brown eyes, a warm smile, thin, scrawny build, wears a turtleneck sweater and jeans and a large scarf all the time.
Bio: Hayden is quiet. He hardly even looks people in the eye. His family feared and hated him for his mutation despite also being mutants. He was sent away to the institute but made no friends. Instead of becoming an X-man as suggested by Xavier, he became a librarian. He fears others now, just as they once feared him. Now a trembling, shaky mess, he only finds solace in books and singing.

Name: Samuel Grance
Age: 25
student/staff: Mutant and Human Relations Teacher.
Powers: Teleportation to areas he has knoledge of or has seen.
Appearence description: Samuel is rather tall for his age. His hair is a silver tone and is rather long, able to flow over his shoulders if he doesn't flick it over his back. His eyes are that of a sapphire hue and his features are rather refined if not abit thin. His usual attire is that of a white coat similar to those wor in labs as well as smart shirt which he usualy leaves his top two buttons undone and either grey or black trousers. An odd habit of his is that he never wears shoes for his own reasons.
Bio:Back when he was young, he was kicked out of his house and town for being different in both body and mind. When he first came to the acadamy Samuel was a rather wild child, always getting into fights and lashing out at anyone who looked or spoke ill about him, eventualy after a few talks with Xavier however he began to enjoy the company of others inculding non-mutants. His attitude these days is usualy that of the friendly kind, though somtimes he can be abit nutty and often squats or sits on the worlds oddest places, hence he does not use shoes since they just ruin his balance.

The library was quiet today. Hayden supposed this was due to the snow. People didn't want to study today. This meant Hayden was stuck reading and gently singing to himself in a very echoed Library.

A quiet hum began to mimick Haydens song as Samuel quietly watched the Librarian from atop one of the many book shelves situated in the Library. It had indeed been a slow day, for both of them, the students were either too tired or decided to go out in the snow all the time, as much as he wished to join them he knew his responsabilities and swore to stick to them since Xavier asked him to.

Hayden stopped and looked up at Samuel and blushed and pulled his scarf over his neck and mouth. "Um..... Hi Samuel." Hayden said in almost a whisper. Hayden knew Samuel from classes back when both were children. Samuel accidentally touched Hayden once and now Hayden can teleport as far as the length of the library. Not as far as Samuel, but still....

"Heyo." Said Samuel before flipping off of the shelf and teleporting just to the end of the row before he hit the ground, he alwasy did enjoy the freedom of movement he had. Leaning up against the end he looked over to Hayden. "How's the reading going?" He asked, still slightly afraid of the fellow mutant but still wishing to make conversation.

Hayden could tell Samuel was still mildly afraid. "Samuel, you've known me for a long time. You know my aquired abilities and if I wanted to fight you the gloves would literally be off." Hayden gave a small trembling smile. "However I know you're skilled at fighting and that a clash between us will ruin the library and no-one would have a place to read." Hayden smiled. "The reading's fine as it is every day you ask." Hayden always wondered what brought a wild guy like Samuel here to a quiet library. Hayden supposed it was the conversations.

"Yeah, well. I've changed alot since then, you should know that more than anyone." Samuel chuckled, now attempting to climb the shelf without the aid of his powers, he always did enjoy the challenge. "It's not that I thought we were going to have a good ruckus, I just felt like hanging around here rather than in the dark over there, must get kinda boring after a while. I mean come on, have you not read this place out already?" The energetic Samuel slipped slightly before vanishing and poking his head out next to Hayden through the shelf behind him.

"Samuel...... I think we've already discussed this. The library is the only place children are safe from my powers. If I wrap up well enough then no-one will get hurt. What else do you suggest I do huh? Join the X-men like Xavier suggested? That's twice as dangerous." Hayden opened a cardboard box. "Besides, I always order new books to read."

Samuel let out a faint sigh, giving a small grin to Hayden as he teleported once more to the other side of the box to peek in. "Well, don't you think that joining the team could be good for you? Okay there may be risks but heck, what's the team there for if not to take such risks." His tone changed for a moment from the happy go lucky Samuel into a more sincere tone. "Heck, I'm afraid to join up, but I know that eventualy I will. But since they already got enough tele's like me around I doubt another would be of any use. You on the other hand have something special, you can adapt to any situation thinkable just by a simple touch. You may end up killing, it happens, but think. Killing one is much better than leaving hundreds if not thousands to suffer just because the team lacked the ability to keep the peace." He rose slowly, then turned to look outside where the snow continued to fall. " We have many students here, some more powerfull than others, some are most probably as scared of their powers as you are. But they still keep trying because they want a world where we can fit in-" He stopped, giggling slightly as he realised that he might have gone and said too much. "Sorry about that..."

Hayden hung his head. "Samuel..... when my parents found out what I could do....... they went berserk. They sent me here just to feel safe. They were mutants themselves. Just think how humans would react if the team had someone like me on. They'd hate us evn more and genocide will happen for both species. Here....... I'm safe from them and they........ they never have to know a monster like me exists." Hayden used his weak telekenisis to sort out the new books.

"Monster?.... Monster!?" Samuel quickly turned and grabbed Hayden by the scruff of the neck, making sure that their skin didn't touch as he snarled quietly. " What is it that Xavier taught us!? Well!? We! Are! Not! Monsters! None of us are! You may feel like that but being locked away like this will never help! Open your damn eyes! You couldn't harm a fly the way you are! Who on earth is to say that you would go and kill while on a mission unless it was necessary!? The team often do so if there are thoe who wish to only escalate the fighting! We may get moaned at by the cursed goverment of the world but it's the people that matter! They side with us almost all the time! Even when we were said to be traitors and terrorists they sided by us! So quit your stupid talk about genocide before I show you what a real monster is!" Samuel was panting heavily, letting go of Hayden before teleporting back up to his perch on the top of the shelf.

Hayden was back to silence but this time he was angry. His emotions were usually unstable with many peoples thoughts going in and out of his head but this was new. He did something he never did before. He left the library and not only that but used his telekenisis to rip off the doors. He then went to the danger room and locked all the doors and set up a new level of tests. 300 sentinal projections. Soon Hayden was training, tearing down sentinals one by one. Samuel was right. Hayden was a team just on his own. He........ just didn't want Samuel to know his fear of the outside world and the fact that he was out of the library terrified him.

Samuel watched as Hayden made his way out of the Library, he smiled softly before jumping slightly as something dripped onto his hand, looking down he saw a clear liquid, before he knew he felt something tirckle down his face again. Wiping it off slowly he realised that acutaly he was crying, letting out a small chuckle he began to speak. "Well Xavier, look what I've gone and done this time." He said, looking up at the ceiling, out of all the people he knew in this place, Xavier was probably the closest to his father in terms of a relationship which was probably similar to most of students and staff here. Quickly leaping off the shelf, Samuel teleported to the doors and lifted them up to lean against the wall, he would have to explain this to the others somehow but he'll be fine.
