Design: Shinzo's design is mostly up in the air. All I want for certain is:

- Black hair in some sort of long, straight style (the style is entirely up to the artist). With bangs of some sort - pony tail maybe? IDK.
- Red eyes.
- I'm not sure if ALL lunarians have scales under their eyes; I've seen some with, and some without. If there is a choice, I'd rather he didn't have scales on his face, but if there is no choice, his scales should be black or red.
- His ear fins should be red (probably two shades of red - a darker for the 'bone' and a less darker one for the fin)
- His clothes should be elegant (or as elegant as his class allows). If you can somehow give him a short cloak or shoulder cape I'd love it, but yeah I'm.... horrible at designing clothes for this sort of era/place, so clothes design are entirely up to the artist. I'd love the clothes design to be black, red and gold.
- His facial expression should be serious or grumpy.

Name: Shinzo Ito
Nickname: Shin, Shinzu
Age: 19ish
Alliance: Legion
Class: Fighter

Hobbies:
Research/Puzzles/Conundrums; Give him a puzzle of any kind, and he'll enjoy it. Conudrums? Sure! Sudokus? Awesome sauce. Rubic cube? Let him at it! He'll show you he can crack it in record time. Murder mysteries? Oh, man, he's all over that; he bets he can figure out whom the murder is way before you can. Shinzo enjoys any sort of puzzle that will make him use his brain to the point that it's possibly a distraction. What do you mean he has to do homework? Uh... give him just a sec, he almost has this one cracked! He's been working on it for hours - and no, he's not stayed up all night, stop asking!
Meditating; Shinzo takes 'zoning out' to the next level. If he has nothing to do, he'll often sit and simply... think. He claims it to be horribly therapeutic and while it's true that this can be annoying when you're trying to get his attention and he's lost in thought, it also means he often time mulls over what he's done or what others have done to him and their meanings. If he'll use any of this information at all, well, that's a different story altogether.
Hoarding; Shinzo is a packrat. He might deny it, and tell you that every little gadget and every little gizmo and every little scrap of paper he owns is of use and has incalculable value, but the truth is... none of this is true to anyone but him. He refuses to throw things out, for the most part and he's probably not someone you want to take to a flea market, or a garage sale unless you want to come back loaded with seven hundred things you never wanted to buy.

Virtues:
Polite; It's not going to matter what Shinzo thinks (or doesn't think) of you; he's going to remain mostly cordial and polite, if not a bit cold. Repeated exposure, or throwing him for a loop might crack his shell enough to show you a glimpse of how he really feels, but as a rule of thumb, actions speak louder than words where he's concerned. In other words, it's all going to come down to the 'little things'; a small smile of approval, the fact he's just excused himself politely from the scene so as not to be in someone's presence, etc. His ability to keep his emotions to himself (at least where other people are concerned), allows him to team up with with those he does not particularly approve of, or even like. It's probable the other person will notice he's not particularly happy to be working with them, but if they can remain cordial about it, so will he. At the end of the day, it's the results that matter, or otherwise count, not whom you team up with. It's all a mean to an end. Despite being judgmental and stubborn, the fact he can remain politely about it (at least usually, for the most part), allows him the opportunity to change his mind about people, on case to case basis. He might start out disliking you, but he's been known to be wrong about people in the past (albeit that's not something you'll get him to admit to out loud at any rate). Then again, given the fact he usually starts off thinking everyone he encounters is an idiot, this is a good thing, seeing as how otherwise he'd probably have a hell of a lot of trouble making friends. Friends? What are those? What is this friend business you speak of?
Passionate; The fact he rarely allows emotion to show does not mean he's really actually cold. In fact, Shinzo's quite passionate, given the chance, though he tends to keep that under wraps because he believes it to be a weakness. Letting your enemies know what you're you're thinking, or how much something affects you is probably not a good idea, in his mind. Not only does it give them emotional leverage, but it can cause your downfall if you let emotions cloud your judgement. Despite all his thoughts on the subject though, the facts remain; Shinzo is a passionate individual, and it will not really matter what it is he's doing, or whom he's doing for. Not even whom he's doing it with; he'll be putting his heart and soul into it, and it will probably be quite noticeable to those around him despite his best efforts. On one hand this means that he's not going to give up if he fails once or twice (in fact, given the fact he's quite stubborn, it's probably not going to matter if he fails more than six or seven times - he's going to come back, looking for more once he thinks he's got it right). He's a hard worker, and does not expect others to do his work for him; in fact, he tends to be happiest when he has something to do, or a goal to achieve. On the other hand, it's quite easy to throw him into a seemingly never ending loop of failure; all one has to do is set before him an impossible task and he'll just keep on at it until someone knocks some sense into him. What are you talking about? He almost had it! And no, he's not lost several days of sleep on this! He er... no, that's not coffee. No, he doesn't have a problem - shut up! He can stop whenever he wants!
Intelligent; Shinzo is intelligent; he practically exudes self confidence, as far as his intelligence is concerned. He's quite sure he could be asked even the most intricate intellectual puzzle, and he'd be able to crack it. Granted, it'd probably take him a long while, and it's possible he might ignore everything else until he's managed to crack it, but he's quite confident that given time, he'd manage to solve it. Unfortunately... intelligence doesn't always seem to go hand in hand with common sense, and while numbers, figures and general knowledge seem to be an easy concept for him to grasp... emotions are usually beyond him. He'll be polite about it, yes, but if you ask him to give you his opinion on that dress you're wearing... he's going to tell you what he thinks about it without qualm. Not only that, but he's likely to become extremely confused when he realizes that apparently, it was not truth you wanted to hear, but rather, some sort of benevolent lie. Isn't it better that he tells you, as politely as possible, that the dress makes you look absolutely horrendous than let you wear it to that ball, where everyone will be laughing quietly and being you back about it? No? He's confused. Explain.
Patient; Shinzo is well aware that not everyone is as intelligent (or apparently as conceited) as he is, and that people often need time to catch up. He has absolutely no problem waiting for them to jump to the same conclusion he jumped to ten minutes ago, and doesn't seem to mind having to explain things to them, even if he just explained it to you four minutes ago. It's not going to make him wonder if you're stupid, or if you were otherwise dropped on your head when you were a baby; after all, he usually starts off relationships assuming the other person is an idiot and in need of guidance. There's very little one can do to give him a worse impression than he already has from that starting point, which means things can only get better, right? Well, maybe not, but at least he seems happy to give people the chance to try, even if he's not really expecting his opinion to change. At the same time though, he expects people to be as patient with him in those matters where he's not as knowledgeable (aka, relationships and being social in general - he's apparently discovered he's rather lacking in those departments, though he can't seem to phantom why), as he is with others. This obviously doesn't win him many friends, per say, because not everyone is as patient as he is, and... in all honesty, he's not exactly the easiest person to teach, given the fact he tends to think he knows better. He'd like to point out that he's er... working on it.

Flaws:
Temperamental/grumpy; Despite the fact Shinzo is patient where studying is concerned, there are surefire ways of getting under his skin, and he's been known for lashing out, both verbally and physically if riled up. Apparently, being intelligent does not equate to having a whole load of common sense. He's moody, grumpy, and despite the fact he remains polite with people, he's obviously antisocial. Don't expect him to give you more than a couple of chances before he lashes out verbally and then, possibly physically if you're being a nuisance or trying to mock him. He's not going to put up with it, and it's probably not going to win you any points if you touch him. Don't touch him, don't stand near him, and for the love of god, don't touch his things; they're his and his alone. Don't call him out on it either, that's likely just going to make him even more grumpy, to a point he'll likely be impossible to treat or even be around. His grumpyness is, in a way, a protective shell that he's placed around himself in an attempt to hide away the fact he's uncomfortably shy around people. It's easier for such a prideful individual to get angry at people for the discomfort they are causing him than face the fact they unnerve him for entirely stupid reasons. In other words, if one wins his confidence and manages to befriend him, 'he gets better'.
Introvert/Shy; For all his talk, Shinzo is actually... painfully shy around people. His way of dealing with the issue is by being a bit of an a**, which granted, doesn't win him any friends, but... well, no one's really stopped to tell him this is not the correct way to go around it. The fact he's intelligent and proud doesn't mean he's not slightly intimidated by people around him; touch sets him off and he doesn't seem particularly keen on being near people because, well, they are slightly scary, even in their stupidity. People are unpredictable, and Shinzo doesn't really care for unpredictability; the fact he's not very good at understanding how human emotions work, or how they make people act means that for all his book smarts, he's lost at sea when it comes to understanding people. Hints go over his head, and for all his genius, he often time doesn't get the simplest of things concerning others' behavior because, well, that's not his area of expertise. When confronted with a situation where the other person obviously needs a comforting hug, he's going to find himself at a loss, because as far as he's concerned, while it's obvious the person needs a hug, HE, personally, wouldn't have appreciated if someone hugged him. Even if it were to try to procure him some comfort; touch is reserved only for those he trusts deeply, and anyone else is likely to get cold glare on a good day... or his fist in their gut on a bad day.
Judgmental/Stubborn; Shinzo usually starts off assuming everyone is a nuisance, stupid or otherwise unworthy of his attention and time. People can either prove him wrong... or prove him right, and at the end of the day, once he's decided which category you fall under (after a few meetings), it's going to be obnoxiously hard to change his mind. It's not unheard of for Shinzo to change his mind, but... he needs quantious amounts of proof that he was 'wrong' in order to do so. This goes both ways, which makes actually, in a way, makes him horribly loyal towards those that have have managed to win him over, to a point he probably looks stupid. What do you mean x person is evil incarnate? No he's not! He.... yeah, he knows that person murdered a handful of blind orphans but he's quite sure there was a reason for it. Quite, quite sure. On the other hand, convincing him that you're not a nuisance, stupid, or something along the same lines, might take a minor miracle. Even when he knows deep down in his gut that his initial verdict was wrong, he might still just cling to it due to being much too proud and stubborn to let go. What do you mean he's wrong? He's always right, damnit! Always! Even when he's not!
Prideful; Shinzo is an extremely proud person. He's confident in his skills and his intelligence, and due to this fact, he often waves aside useful or handy advice. He often times shrugs people's wise words, deeming them as useless and this has a tendency to not end well for him. For all his smarts, he has a hard time understanding that he's not the wisest person on Lunaria, and that he'd do well listening to others. This attitude, coupled with the fact he's slightly arrogant about it make him a person others usually chose not to address, or otherwise hang out with. Not that he minds; he'd much rather hole himself away from people, with a good book and some good music. Music doesn't judge him, after all.

Random tidbits: Shinzo is not obsessive compulsive, but he's lightly neurotic when it comes to his things and his person.

Legion: Shinzo is a traditionalist by nature. Brought up by his granparents due to the premature, accidental death of his parents, Shinzo values the traditions of old and not only seems particularly disturbed by any notion of 'change', but has a hard time accepting it. While he's decided to give himself time and space to decide how different people act (specially nobles), he's going to start off leery of anyone that has views he deems to be too 'polar opposite' from his. This does not mean he won't engage in verbal banter or discussion; he would love to hear your ideas and notions, so long you don't mind if he rebuffs each and every single one.

While Shinzo is an average warrior, his real skill lays in research; he's decided that studying seals and magic is the best way to offer his strength to the legion.

Family/Short history: Shinzo's parents died a premature, accidental death while their son was quite young. Shinzo hasn't really been told all the details, but he's not particularly interested in the details. After all... those details are not going to bring them back, are they? Despite the lack of parental units, Shinzo would like to think he came out perfectly fine (though others might think otherwise). His grandparents took him in, and despite the fact they loved him and brought him up as best as they could, they were quite old and... well, it wasn't the same. Shinzo felt the need to be as little a load to her grandparents as possible, and as such matured much too swiftly, never quite enjoying the childhood he should have enjoyed.

It's due to the fact he grew up too fast that Shinzo learned to trust his own judgement. The fact he rarely played with other children meant he became more of an introvert, never really learning to understand others or their feelings. Despite this, he loves his grandparents dearly, and when he's with them, it's probably one of only times where his walls and outer shell come entirely off.
