NOTICE: I'm considering revamping this guy completely and I need opinions. So just off the top of your head if you're looking at this quest tell me - whats the most important part of the quest that makes it good? Like whats the best part of Johnny, which would suck if he lost?

AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLMENT FORM

Name: j0|-|n33
Nicknames: Johnny, Jay
Gender: Male
Age: 16
THEME MUSIC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6ZFB1MskNE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMHcfuveV4k

Faction/Race Monster / Modron

j0|-|n33 is the model number for this rogue winged quadrone modron. More information on the modrons, and their hierarchy, is located in the Modron information post below.

Personality:

Who's Johnny?
Johnny comes from a society where there is no 'I'. However, he's broken away from that society, and definitely wants to try and be himself - whatever that means. It's difficult for him to understand exactly what individualism is, however, so he often falls into that same old routine of doing whatever everyone else around him is doing, because that's what he's used to. In fact, one might even find him sometimes mimicking their movements as they walk or interact, without even realizing it. If he's called on it, he's very embarrassed.. but he'll go back to doing it in about five minutes.

I like being in the middle!
Johnny doesn't take sides. He doesn't think one person is better than another, and he doesn't think he's better or worse than anyone else. He ends up being rather average in everything he tries, and measures success by how 'typical' his achievement is. Most people got a B on the test? Then B is the best score there is! Everyone who tried out for blood ball the same day as him failed to make it? Then clearly blood ball SUCKS and NO ONE should be in it!

I can't eat any yellow candy until I've finished all of the red.
The one quirk that Johnny has retained from his previous life and refuses to get rid of, is his unfallable love for order. Everything in his room is perfectly ordered - however, to the naked eye someone might find difficulty in understanding exactly -what- order Johnny has put it in. While his clothing may all be color coordinated, his hats may be organized by price. Or date bought. Or alphabetical order by manufacturer. Johnny's system is flawless, in his own head.

ADVENTURE!
The whole reason Johnny came to Amityville was because something was DIFFERENT about this place, and he craved change! Therefore, Johnny considers himself an explorer. What he's exploring, however, is pretty much -everything-. He'll trek through the mysterious lands of the demon dorms, ready for action. He'll dig a hole in the ground and find endless treasure in the form of worms and bones, and take them all home to carefully organize them. Everything is an adventure to Johnny, and that makes everything -exciting-. He's therefore easily awed by.. almost anything.

Second verse, same as the first!
Once Johnny finds something he likes, he does it over and over and over and over and over and over until something forces him to stop. Similarly, once Johnny finds someone he likes, he will be hard pressed to leave them alone. He might even be seen as clingy, and needs not so subtle hints if someone wants alone time.

Cheating? What's that?
Mordron are Lawful Neutral monsters. They lack any and all ability to tell right from wrong. This is an absolute for Johnny, and he will never be able to tell if someone's doing something they shouldn't be. Are you cheating on his test? Here, he'll move the paper for you. Is that your wallet? No? Hope you buy something nice with those pumpkin seeds though!

I c wat u did thar!
Johnny has sensory input devices on six different spots of his body - which brings new meaning to the phrase 'He has eyes in the back of his head' He can't be snuck up on, because he can see/hear/smell behind, beside, and under him just as well as in front of him. This means he isn't easily surprised - so if someone does manage to surprise him, it FREAKS HIM OUT REALLY BADLY. His sensory devices also allow him to listen to multiple conversations going on nearby - though that can get really distracting, and sometimes he ends up focusing on the wrong conversation, and completely ignoring the person talking to him.

Why did they enroll at the academy?
Being a quadrone isn't all it's cracked up to be. Johnny would always treasure the moments he shared being looked up to by all of his tridrones, and he would never forget those honorable days of being dutifully humiliated by his pentadrone superior. Sure, these were all great times - filled with blissful order and practicality! But there was always something missing. Something.. he couldn't place his electrical impulses on. There was something.. more - he'd asked the pentadrone about it once, when he thought he'd seen something. All he received was a swift reboot, and returned to work feeling refreshed and much less curious the next day.

Still, it was clear -something- was out there. Johnny's pleasant love for the stability of his perfectly ordered life was being shattered by his curiosity. When information off-handedly passed through the grapevine about Amityville Academy, he'd convinced himself that this was the -thing- his life had been missing. The one -thing- he knew he'd seen, but could never truly understand.

Little did he know, the -thing- he'd actually seen that first day his curiosity began to change him, was actually a Septon walking down the street.

Johnny disengaged himself from his order, and was immediately replaced and forgotten. To his order, he no longer existed.

And he didn't mind so much, anymore. He was going on an ADVENTURE.

Fear:
Battle Cry: Johnny's FEAR transforms his chest into a high pressured Fear cannon, which can fire a very eccentric beam of energy that will zap his attacker.

Natural Ability: Johnny has several parts that can 'transform' into something mundane. One of his fingers is a pen, another is a small knife, and he most certainly has a phone attached to the bottom of his shoe. His hand pops off to reveal a compartment for storage, and the top of his skull is hinged and pops up easily. He has two pets that are hidden in compartments on his person when they are offline (his robobuddy is located on part of his leg, and his clickits are in his shoulders.) He is also programmed to always know what time it is. Take that, Ashford!

Physical Description: PLEASE SEE CONCEPT SHEET IN THE POST BELOW THIS ONE. His humanoid form is decked out in steampunk, a very mechanical looking outfit. HE'S STEAMPUNK MEETS AVIATOR STYLE MEETS INSPECTOR GADGET. Lots of gears, wires, knobs, straps and overall a lot of metal. He has a metal aviator cap, with retractable monocles coming down from it. He also has small, metal fan wings. His expression is usually wide eyed in awe and surprise. His hair is blonde, sticking out messily from the aviator cap.

His wings are functional, but they're kind of small - he can't get very high, and has to work them really hard to get his new body to lift off the ground at all.

What you can't see: Johnny's head is pretty much the only thing that is actually flesh. He has a pretty normal head and neck, but the neck is bolted into a humanoid-shaped chest, which is all metal and covered in a thin skinlike membrane, giving it somewhat of the look of a body. Inside is a complicated system of devices that all work in tandem to keep Johnny 'alive' and moving properly, just like an humanoid organ system works together to keep someone alive. His heart is a glowing red steel bulb, and his brain is a tangle of wires that relay information at the same speed as a living brain (which is surprisingly fast, if you have any idea how a brain works!). This vast system of electrical impulses controls the movement of his body, so if his head is removed from his body completely - it can't move. However, it doesn't kill him - he just can't control the body himself anymore.

All of his parts can be taken apart and put back together, except his heart. If it is completely removed, or destroyed, Johnny dies.

This section is currently under construction as it will be revamped to better fit the shop continuity

The Background of the Modron

Modrons are mechanical looking monsters who work together in groups. Modrons resemble geometric shapes with humanoid limbs. They follow a strict hierarchy, with each rank reporting to the rank directly above it, and issuing commands to the ones ranking beneath it. For example, a quadrone modron will report to a pentadrone, and command several tridrones.

There are only limited numbers of hierarch Modrons in existence, there being only one Primus, four (two squared) Secundi, nine (three squared) Tertians, and so on. In order to keep this number stable, upon the demise of a Hierarch, one of a lower rank is promoted upwards, and the resulting void filled by another promotion, and so on. When the promotion reaches the Monodrone level, a new Monodrone is spawned from a pumpkin to fill the void left by the promotion of a Monodrone into a Duodrone.

Modrons can only comprehend the existence of other modrons of one rank directly above or below them in their hierarchy. Only their immediate superiors and inferiors register in their minds - a modron is aware of the existence of all ranks below it, but communication is exclusively limited to adjacent ranks. Only Primus, the modron highest rank, is aware of all modrons, because he is at the top of the hierarchy.

A rogue modron (like Johnny) has left their group, broken their connection to other Modrons and disentangled himself from his chain of command. It is immediately replaced as if it has been destroyed and no longer exists.

Johnny's Pets

Johnny's pets are just an extension of himself! You'd never tell they were there until they come alive and detach themselves from their hidden compartments on his body. Robobuddy lives in his right leg, and his Clickits are small modules in his left and right shoulders.

Sometimes, Johnny will have a small green cog attached to him. It's still a mystery as to what it does..

I HAS A QUESTION.

Why do you think Modrons fit into the TiH setting? All I understand right now is that they enforce law.

+ A STATEMENT.

In his enrollment form, you typed the faction/race as "Monster / Mordron".)
PostPosted: Tue Feb 22, 2011 5:19 pm

Only pentadrones 'enforce' law. All the modrons believe in having things in order, but they don't 'enforce' it. Pentadrones are the enforces. However! Johnny is a rogue, which means he's pulling AWAY from the Modron lifestyle. Not trying to push it on other people. :3 He wants something different to happen! He's rebelling from what he's lived his entire life believing. So he's going to evolve a lot as he progresses.

As for the typo.. THANK YOU XDDD
