Iskra: *Noses around a broken pile of.. something. Looking for.. something else.*

Rumanzovia :: *sneaks over to where a fluffy herla is rummaging through a pile of something mysterious. PERHAPS IT IS TREASURE* "Whatcha hidin' there mademoiselle?" >:I *growls slightly, wondering if she really was hiding treasure*

Iskra: *Pops her head up and nearly catches her horn on the low lying branches.* Oh. 8D Hello. *Wags her fluffy tail happily* I dropped something in here. Well. I found it in here then I dropped it. *Sighs.* Can't seem to find it again.

Rumanzovia :: "Ya dropped somethin' eh? I bet it was somethin' good 'n shiny. Move aside, wench, 'n let me look. I got a good nose fer gold." *dropping all pretense of politeness, almost certain there's gold or silver involved, digs through the pile looking for something glittery to catch her eye*

Iskra: *Peers over the smaller youth.* It's a yellow orange color, and glows in the light. I was going to give it to my friend, she's always collecting stuff like that. Do you see it? *Paws at the ground and sighs*

Rumanzovia :: *sees the shiny thing this fireball adult was talking about, and picks it up in her mouth* "Ya know lass, ya really shouldn't be trustin' thievin' pirates wit' yer things." *smirks and flicks her tail over her head, slinking off*

Iskra: Hey. D< *Huffs and easily catches up with the significantly smaller herla, a flicker of fire beginning to burn on the end of her horn.* That has no value to you so give it back, it's for someone else. *really doesn't want to hurt the yearling but... well, that bauble is quite special to her.*

Rumanzovia :: "And ya expect a pirate to be listenin' to this plea? M'job is to take what I want, and currently I want this lil' glowy hunk o' junk." *smirky smirk, her tail swishing* "Unless yer willin' to trade fer the bauble, I don't think I'll be handin' it back peaceably." *narrows her eyes, a growl rising in her throat*

Iskra: *Groans and shakes her head.* Fine, fine. What ever else you want you can have. I've got some pieces of fused glass that look like gold or.. well a lot of bright gold and firey looking things. Or.. *Leans her head down a little.* I can show you a trick. A trick that only a few herla, out of the entire hartland, can do. Rarest of rares.

Rumanzovia :: *listens to these options and immediately comes to her decision* "What makes ya think I'm interested in some dumb ol' parlor trick?" *snaps a bit* "Maybe m' dumb ol' sis would be up in arms about it, but not me." *hisses a bit, feeling like she's being treated as a stubborn child rather than a dangerous pirate* "Somethin' goldish'll suit me just fine, lassie. It is my preferable type o' treasure, ya know." *smirks again, feeling like smug mcsmuggerson*

Iskra: *Groans.* I'll show you gold. *Takes a deep breath and lets out a puff of smoke in annoyance.* Fine. Come on then.

Iskra moved quickly through the forest trees, head held low to avoid any branches. "If you don't keep up then you're going to get lost back here." The larger herla headed deeper into the woods, the air growing thicker with perspiration and head. As much as she really wanted to dislike this little yearling her social nature got the better of her. "So. What's your name?"

Zovia flicked her tail, and puffed a bit. "What makes ya think I can't keep up?" Her eyes stayed narrowed, and her fangs stayed slightly exposed as she tried to keep her intimidating appearance, just in case she did have to fight this massive hothead.
"M' name is Ruman." One of the first things she learned about trickin' and thievin', never give out your real name. "And what's yers?"

Iskra took no care to the attempt at intimidation, something that small couldn't do her much damage. She gave a grin at the introduction, well at least they were getting somewhere! "I'm Iskra, nice to meet you, Ruman. Why are you so intent on stealing my gift for my friend?" Though Iskra was quite sure that she'd be getting it back, no matter what. She also hoped that their talking was distracting the little herla from the way they were going. The deeper in the woods they went they more Iskra began to turn and swerve their path, in hopes to prevent the little thief from returning to the gold mine she was about to find.

Rumanzovia flicked her tail. "What part o' me bein' a pirate did ya not understand, Iskra? I steal an' don't afraid of anythin'." She grins wickedly. "I stole a necklace from me own Maman once. I don't care who I take from." An honest statement. She'd rip the wings off her sister if she thought they had any worth. She wondered if Iskra was lost with the way she swerved around. Or was she leading her to the woods to kill her? Well, she wouldn't go down without a fight!

Iskra flicked her tail in annoyance, "I don't even know what a pirate is but I'm guessing it's a thief." She scowled, smoke billowing out of her nostrils as she snorted. "You sound just like Xiphi. My best friend's mother is notorious at taking whatever she pleases, she even made her own daughter try and steam my precious feathers." She tucked her head down to nose the two burnt feathers dangling around her neck.

"Anyways. I'll give you one thing, anything you want, in return for that object you have." Iskra was beginning to slow down now, sniffing the air occasionally and heading into a different direction. "Oh, there it is." She finally said, as if an obvious answer had dawned on her. "Come on, it's not much further."

Zovia giggled a bit. "Exactly. I'm thinkin' yer a bit dense, considerin' I did say I was a thievin' pirate. Can't blame ya, bein' distracted by my lavish charm, mademoiselle?" She laughed a bit more, careful not to let the bauble fall out of her mouth. "But feathers? What a lame treasure t'be takin'. Ya want the things with shine 'n glitz, the gold, lass."

She paused, yes, the whole reason she got this lame bauble, to trade it for something good to take back to her hidden pile of treasure. "Good." she said simply.

Iskra frowned at the youth, not liking her demeanor at all. As the smell of woodsmoke and embers filled the air Iskra began to slow down. She gave Zovia a glance, wondering if she should make the kid wait outside, but maybe the sight would be a good warning for later. "Okay, then. Here we are." She spoke proudly, holding up her horn high as they entered a clearing in the trees. Before them was a wall of fire, a half circle that butted up against a rock wall. It had taken her months over the winter to create it but now it stood on it's own like magic.

"Just give me a second and I'll show you in." She stepped forward into the flames, feeling the wonderful sensation of heat that had once come from inside her chest. With a deep breath she concentrated hard and slowly the fire wall died down until it was no more than a smoldering dirt line. Turning back to the yearling she grinned then continued forward into a cave mouth, "Just jump over the line and you won't get burned."

As she entered the cave her horn light up like a torch, throwing light onto her collection of gold and orange objects. Things were inlaid into the wall, littered around the ground, scraps of old metal, glass, precious metals, and plastic. When she touched a log in the stone pit that resided in the middle of the cave it caught fire quickly, causing the cave to explode with light. To her it looked like what she imaged the inside of a volcano would be, the gold and orange metals reflected the orange light like a massive fire. "Well, take one thing, what ever you want."

Zovia stared hard at the wall of fire. Was this girl a witch? She briefly wondered if her father had any experience dealing with sea-witches and knew what to do with them. She followed Iskra to the line, and looked down at it as she carefully hopped over it.

However, the inside of this witch-cave was amazing. It was like a larger version of her treasure keeps. Things glittered and Zovia felt overwhelming urges from both her own body and her guardian to start stuffing her face with the gilded and golden things and to run out as fast as she could with the spoils. But, she merely stood in awe. One thing. She could take one thing. She could respect that.

She placed the bauble at the fire-witch's hooves and went to search for something. She peered around the shining objects, and paused when one caught her eye. It was small, but beautifully round, and mostly smooth. She picked it up in her mouth gingerly. It felt solid, and slightly heavy for the size. "I want this."

Iskra stood ever so proudly as her cave silenced and stunned the pirate youth. Parlor tricks, she had said, weren't interesting. Iskra hadn't felt this smug in a long time but her thoughts quickly turned as Zovia returned the bauble. She nosed the piece to make sure it was still in good shape, utterly delighted as it glowed while it rolled about. Her friend would definitely enjoy it next time they met.

Before she knew it Zovia had spoken, pulling her attention back. "That's it?" She frowned, expecting the little thief to take one of the bigger, gaudier objects. "If you say so. It's your's, a deal is a deal. A solid gold ball, the guardians thought it was the most luxurious substance, or so my guardian said. You can clean it to make it shine more, it's tarnished with age." Iskra kind of felt bad, she hadn't really gotten around to cleaning all of this objects she surrounded herself with at night. If she did they would probably be a lot more reflective.
