((Open to all members of the Da'lin God family XD))

A rattling noise ticked through the air as the male's tail twitched idly. The sun was overbearingly hot; high above his head, burning down upon his back like an open flame. He hated it. It made his spines ooze an unpleasant liquid, which plastered to his fur and messed it up. The foul-tasting venom didn't bother him so much as the disruption of his fur, though the fetid smell was no bonus. Damn those Zahina lions, stealing all the forests. If only we had some shade... then my Da'lin-sent beauty would not be soiled by my great gifts. It was true. The disgusting fluid was both a curse to his vanity and a blessing to his powers, for it contained a powerful poison.
Luckily for his family, immunity had been passed down to the next generation. Mostly. "Acanthophisss iss not pleasssed." His low voice rattled out the words, which traveled far through the barren landscape despite him not speaking louder than a whisper. Come to think of it... where were those Zahina-forsaken offspring of his?
His ears pressed back against his skull in disgust. They were late for his training session, and he had to suffer in the festering heat. No. This would not do. Not on his watch. A hiss rose in his throat. Those blasted cubs had better get here soon, or they'd regret the consequences. His temper was not one to be trifled with.
