It had been a struggle to sleep some night and others went by fine. Random clips of nightmares kept her up to all hours feeling very alone with only Milo to keep her company. So when Xiu suggested a sleep over Mitsu nearly jumped at the opportunity. Not that she really knew what a sleep over entailed but the thought of being with someone during the night eased her mind a little. Maybe if she managed to sleep the dreams wouldn't be as bad.
Gathering the things that she would need for her over night stay Mitsu carefully stuffed everything in her backpack and slung it over her shoulder. Once that was done she picked up Milo and headed out of the monster dorms and over toward the demon dorms.
The walk itself wasn't terribly long and before she knew it Mitsu was standing in front of Xiu's door. Or at least she hoped it was Xiu's door, her directions could be a little off. Hesitantly she brought up a hand to lightly rasp on the door and waited for a reply from the other side.

A sleepover! Her very first sleepover! Xiu was bouncing around her room, trying to get everything ready. She had a few snacks and drinks prepared, and her coffee table and couch had been dragged aside for thin mattresses and the sleeping bags (because a sleepover was clearly more fun if everyone--in this case, two people--slept on the floor) and she had been sure to make sure everything was s**c and span.
That being said, she didn't expect either herself or Mitsu to be the types of ghouls who stayed up late into the night chattering through. Considering how late it already was, she was certain that they would only manage to stay up for so long before they got tired. It was with this in mind that she didn't plan too many activities beyond a snack and some chatting. Xiu hoped that that would do for their first sleepover.
Perking up at the knock on the door, the Baku quickly went to answer it, already dressed in her sleep wear--a long nightgown that fell to her ankles. She opened the door a crack and peeked out, throwing it open when she confirmed that it was her friend. "Mitsu! Come in!"

Patiently Mitsu waited staring at the floor in a dazed manner. Hearing movement the lupine's ears perked at the top of her head when the door opened and soon Mitsu was greeted by the sight of her friend. "Ah! H-hello!" She stammered out at the bright greeting before stepping inside to allow Xiu to shut the door behind her.
It seemed the ghoul was already dressed in her sleep wear. "S..should I go ahead and change?" Mitsu questioned as she set Milo down on the floor and shuffled her backpack off her shoulders. Everything was in her bag, so it would be easy to run off to the bathroom and change, that way they could both be in their sleepwear ready for...whatever you did at slumber parties. Mitsu wasn't sure but she was looking forward to the sleeping part.

"If you'd like to change right now, that's fine!" Xiu chirped, crouching down so that she could look at Milo. "And who's this? Brought Arashi a sleepover buddy too?" As she said his name, the Storm Melonkit poked his head out from under the desk, looking at their two new guests curiously. Padding up to Milo, he laid his ears back and reached out, pawing at the other creature's face. Considering that his claws were sheathed, it was probably only just playing.
"I don't think you've met Arashi, have you Mitsu?" Picking up the cat, Xiu smiled at her friend, having absolutely no idea that the lupine wasn't really a cat fan despite having one herself. "I got him fairly recently. I probably should have mentioned him sooner but...I hope you don't mind? He'll keep his distance if you don't like having him around."
She plopped him back down beside Milo, before letting out a little yawn. "Beyond a few snacks and some chatting, I think we'll be sleeping pretty early tonight." She admitted, looking sheepish.

"O..okay," Mitsu nodded carefully removing her mask after a moment to set it inside her bag after she grabbed her sleepwear. By her eyes it was easy to see Mitsu was tired, the dark circles were a big indicator. "Yes, that's Milo." Mitsu said introducing the boafox, sheepishly. "I..I should have asked before I brought him over but Ziggy has been tormenting him when I'm gone." She hadn't looked up just yet to see what kind of pet Arashi was, but if it was Xiu's it was bound to be nice right?
Milo tilted his head this way and that, large ears a little lopsided in the process. When he spotted the Melonkit, however, his ears stood at full attention and he moved a bit closer out of curiosity. When the feline started to paw at him at first Milo flinched. He was rather used to Ziggy and her claws but it seemed this feline was much nicer. When he realized he wasn't going to be mauled, Milo started to wiggle with excitement, his front end going toward the floor while his rear half stayed in the air. Hopping a bit in place he let out a happy yip before he darted off to the side ready to play.
Standing up with her panduhr themed pajamies, Mitsu turned to finally meet the pet Xiu had in her arms. There was a smile until the lupine set eyes on the feline, her body instantly going stiff with fright. Her tail bristled out as she stared wide eyed at the creature like a hollow deer in the head lights. "K-k-kitty?" Mitsu stuttered out. Oh yeah...she was afraid.
Carefully watching as Xiu placed the feline down to go play with Milo, Mitsu stood still for a moment like if she didn't move the cat wouldn't know she was there. No sudden movements....no sudden movements. It can smell fear. "S-sleeping soon should be fine." Mitsu finally spoke, trying her best to push away her fear.

...There was something different about Mitsu right now. Sure, the shy ghoul usually stuttered a little, but when she had been looking at Arashi, she seemed...well, a little more nervous then usual. Tilting her head, Xiu glanced from her friend, to her minipet, and then back. Finally, realization dawned on her.
"Arashi?" The feline, who had been playfully batting at Milo's tail, looked up at his name and meowed. "You and Milo can sleep on my bed tonight, okay?" Since she and Mitsu would be occupying the mattresses on the floor, she figured that the two minipets could take her bed. The main reason for this offer? The bed was a fair distance away from where the two ghouls would be sleeping. She hoped that this distance would help alleviate some of Mitsu's fear.
The Storm Melonkit only seemed to happy to comply. Turning back to the Boafox, he bopped Milo on the nose and then made a run for Xiu's bed, daring for him to chase after.
"Have you ever had a sleepover before?" With the cat-fear hopefully solved, the Baku went to fetch some of the treats she had made--a variety of different spookies and some nice, warm tea. Xiu didn't want them eating anything too heavy before bed!

Mitsu seemed to relax a little as Arashi went running off toward the bed, Milo quick to follow. Her fear of cats was not resolved....Shun would probably be disappointed. "N..no." Mitsu admitted. "I've never been invited to one before." She really hadn't had friends until coming to this school "I..I'll go change." Mitsu said quickly before retreating to the bathroom.
When she finally returned she was dressed in her panduhr theme pajamas. The bottoms were black with a panduhr on the hip and the shirt was white with a different image of the same creature.
Trying to smile a little Mitsu took a seat on the futon where the sleeping bags were. "So what does one normally do at a sleepover?" She asked curiously ears turning forward to get Xiu her full attention.

Once she set the tray down--with a plate of spookies and the two glasses of tea--down on the floor beside their mattresses, Xiu turned back to look at Mitsu. Looking the other ghoul up and down, she grinned, clapping her hands together. "Your pajamas are so cute!" She complimented, before flopping down onto one of the futons and patting the spot beside her, indicating that Mitsu should do the same.
Eying all the different flavored spookies that she had made--the only one she had avoided making was chocolate, for obvious reasons--the Baku grabbed one at random and took a bite. "What's normally done?" She hummed thoughtfully, "I think...lots of chatting, usually? Like...chatting about school, and um, boils that you like, and stuff like that?"
...Okay, she wasn't really sure about the second one. Personally, she simply saw all her male friends as...well, just friends, or maybe something akin to brothers. Xiu currently didn't harbour any feelings beyond friendly ones...but what about Mitsu?
"Hmmmmmmmmmmmm."

"T..thanks," There was a hint of a smile and a blush as Mitsu scooted closer to Xiu to have a seat. She didn't say it but she was pleased someone else thought her pajamas were cute.
"School and...boils you like," Mitsu nodded thoughtfully on the matter. The idea of the slumber party had always seemed rather fascinating but Mitsu had never had friends, especially female friends of which to share something like this. Though...she suppose she technically had a sleep over at Shun's dorm. Even if she was sick it still counted in a way right? Mitsu really had no clue.
Since the talk of boys made Mitsu nervous she went right for the school topic. "So how have your classes been? Have you been in anything interesting lately?"

Hmm, there went the boil topic! Ah well--if Mitsu didn't want to talk about it, then who was she to prod? Besides, Xiu didn't have any information of her own to share. "Classes have been..." She trailed off as she thought for a moment, before smiling. "Educational. I think the only one of particular note was the first class I attended."
She paused then, knitting her brows together as she looked at Mitsu thoughtfully. "Actually, that first class I was in...I think you were there too! And aniki!" At the time though, she hadn't really been acquainted with either of them. She vaguely remembered seeing the pale-haired ghoul and grumpy reaper, but couldn't recall if she actually said anything to them. "It was...the Sex Ed class. The one where one of the students got eate--...ea--..." She couldn't bring herself to finish that sentence, as the memory brought shivers up her spine. If she recalled correctly, that class had also involved exploding pumpkins.
...
Without a word, Xiu slid one of the glasses and the plate of spookies closer to Mitsu, indicating that she should have some. "S-so, how has your school experience been so far?"

"Oh...s...sex ed class." The things she had ended up learning....and she hadn't even learned them in class. The interweb had broken her brain that was for sure. The lupine could remember seeing Xiu, but at the time she didn't know her that well yet. It wasn't really until Prom that she had really been introduced.
"Oh, you mean, Glowbug?" That was the name Mitsu had deemed to Bul since she did not know his name. It was odd for her to use it in conversation but at the moment that was all she had. Though, hadn't she heard the hell hound in music club call him B.O.?
"My school experience has been....interesting." Mitsu nodded thinking back on the classes she had taken and the stuff that had happened since she had first arrived. "I like it here though." She was growing comfortable slowly but surely. The fact that she could be around people without her mask was proof of that.
Looking to the spookies as Xiu pushed them toward her Mitsu plucked one from the plate and started to nibble at it. "I'm kind of worried about the field trips if we go on any. So far it seems like no one has enjoyed them." That was an understatement really. There was no enjoyment to be had from being scared for your life, watching your friends die, and then being killed yourself. Nope...no fun at all.

"Glowbug?" Xiu echoed, blinking. Just to confirm, she pointed to her own hair. "Short, red hair? If so, then...yes. That was kind of..." Shuddering, the ghoul decided she didn't want to think about it again. She had sat silently through the rest of that class, terrified that she would be eaten next.
She had also been very, very careful not to hurt any of the bugs that were crawling around the class.
Pleased to hear that Mitsu was enjoying her school life, Xiu selected another spookie to munch on before she nodded in agreement. "To be honest...I was a little nervous about attending Amity, but I'm really glad that I came! There are lots of nice students here." There were a few that intimidated her, but she hadn't run into anyone who had been outright antagonistic with her. Yet.
"Ah, yes, the field trips..." Trailing off, the Baku frowned. She had heard a little about these trips, and the thought made her a little sick. What would it be like watching her friends die? Without warning, she suddenly stuffed the rest of her spookie in her mouth, chewed and swallowed it quickly, and the reached out to give Mitsu a hug. Finally, she pulled back with a sheepish grin. "We'll just have to all stick together if we go on a field trip."

There was a nod of confirmation when Xiu described the boil in question. "Yes, he was glowing afterward...kinda like a glowbug." Which was her reasoning for the name. It was suiting even though he no longer glowed.
The field trips though seemed to not only have her concerned but Xiu as well. She wondered what the baku had learned around school. "Yes, sticking together sounds like a good idea." Mitsu gave a bit of a nod but suddenly yawned, her eyes looking tired. The lack of sleep was catching up with her.
Rubbing at her eyes with one hand she continued to nibble on the spookie. "I'm sorry, I'm a bit tired already..." They were supposed to chat but Mitsu already felt like falling to sleep.

Noting Mitsu's fatigue, Xiu smiled and carefully lifted the tray to bring back to the kitchen. "There's always more time to talk some other time! Let's get to sleep now, shall we?" She wrapped the plate of spookies up and set the glasses into the fridge. "If you get hungry or thirsty in the middle of the night, please help yourself, okay?"
She turned on one of the smaller lamps that she had plugged into the wall by the futons, and then went to flick the main room light off. At least then they would have enough light to find their way to their beds. Xiu turned to glance at her own bed, laughing a little as she watched Arashi happily curl himself up on the mattress by Mitsu's Boxfox. It was nice to see that her pet had a sleepover buddy for the night as well.
"Tell me when you're ready for me to turn off the light." She smiled, wriggling into the sleeping bag until only her eyes poked out.

Watching Xiu get up Mitsu finished off her spookie and nodded. They could always talk more when they got up again. "Okay." They could always have other sleepovers too. Maybe at a time where Mitsu was better rested to stay up. At least Milo seemed comfortable, he had all but flopped with Arashi his long tail encircling them both.
As Xiu turned the main light off Mitsu reached for her bag to pull out her stuffed panduhr and crawled into her sleeping bag as well. Snuggling down she got comfortable before looking over toward the baku. "I'm ready." Oh was she ready. Mitsu could already feel herself drifting off, her eyes heavily falling now that she was laying down and not trying to stay up.
