This is only for my Stars Blodeuwedd and Solveig, as part of a plot for their respective herds.

The magenta Arcturus mare strolled gracefully down the path awfully close to the lands of her family's enemies. With the pure white eyes that meant blindness in lesser creatures, one might almost mistake her for a Juliet figure traipsing near the lands of a yet unknown Romeo...however, her clear, strong vision, her skull mask, and the little smirk betrayed the opposite.
This mare, Blodeuwedd, granddaughter of the illustrious and powerful Moloch, King of the Shadow Herd, was deliberately walking into the lands of the enemies, seeking to wreak havoc. To lower suspicions, Blod planned on using the fact that her pathetic mother was of this miserable herd as a cover, pleading that she only wanted to be with her mother's folk instead of her father's folk.
This was a lie, but Blod was no stranger to lies; lies was how she'd been raised in the great Shadow Herd, and only a weak person would be incapable of lying. The fact that truth was valued here was their own weakness.
A golden Arion mare topped the ridge. She had offered to scout this afternoon, and even though she stood still, her golden bells still jingled in the soft, warm summer breeze. Solveig smiled as she gazed at the sky and landscape before her before looking down to scout properly.
Ehhh, this was just too nice a day for Solveig to worry about the Shadow Herd; they didn't seem to care for bright, wholesome summer days, so she didn't bet on them being out. At any rate, there was a nice, cool, clear spring right here at the top of the ridge that tasted like heaven on summer days and Solveig lowered her head to drink deep, the breeze ruffling her magenta Arion wings.
As she raised her head, she glimpsed an unfamiliar dark pink shadow at the bottom of the ravine below. Sol squinted her eyes, not recognizing the figure at all. Since this was the border of the Shadow Herd lands and she didn't recognize the Star below, she called out in her golden voice, "Halt! Who are you?"
