Enthused by the success of their solo outing the other day, Calixte had gone and reasearched traditional family outings that he could take Beltzelel on. Apparently there were FAR more than he'd anticipated. After a little while of freaking out at the wide variety, he'd also gone and researched seasons - turned out he'd missed festival season, but there was still a few weeks before the beach became too cold. So, that decided their destination. But there were so many things that were required for going to the beach! So Cali had gone and purchased swimwear for himself and Bells (He had to have his custom-made for his....unique proportions.), invested in two fluffy towels for drying and two beach-mat kind of towels for sitting on. He'd had a long conversation with a pharmacist about sun-protection (The guy had been kind of stunned the whole way through by Cal's appearance, but he'd still been very professional and helpful.), got Tiberius to help pick some beach toys (Calixte had silently blessed Ambers for having a kid too so that he could double-check things), and they were ready. Now they just had to wait for a nice day.
Beltzelel yawned widely as his father touched his forehead softly, their established way of waking each other up. He smiled maskless up at his father, who, equally maskless, smiled back, feline-esque nose twitching lightly. He giggled, reaching pale arms out and being swept up by dark ones. He snuggled against his fathers chest as they moved to the bathroom. Bells loved mornings. Okay...well..actually, he hated mornings. When he slept he slept like the dead, and much like them he didn't appreciate being disturbed. But he liked being woken up by his dad, so he was willing to put up with mornings.
After washing and brushing his teeth, Bells looked at the clock. His face was a pretty picture of what he felt, because Cali chuckled and ruffled his hair before getting a hairbrush and plaiting it into his usual tiny ponytail.
"We're going to the beach today, so we had to be up early to catch the bus."
Bells grumbled lightly, but pulled the swimming trunks and a loose T-shirt on all the same, allowing his dad to suncream him up.

Okay it was totally worth it. Beltzelel gaped in open astonishment (not that...you could really see that through his mask) at the golden sand and cerulean sea. Forgetting himself, he dragged Calixte as fast as he could down the steps, babbling away excitedly.
