Do you think that if the show wasn't cancelled, would Zim have taken over the world?

Warning: If you haven't seen all of the episodes, there could be spoilers. In fact, much of my first post has spoilers so you may want to skip everything after this line if you haven't seen them.

I don't have a definite opinion on this. I think it's possible because if Zim waited, Dib would be out of the picture. How? Well, apparently, Irkens live for a very long time(if their pack isn't stolen, that is). Zim is at least fifty, and this can be determined from the episode, Tak the Hideous New Girl. He could wait for Dib to die. Eventually, however, there still exists the possibility of getting discovered(from not aging) or a new "crazy" guy coming along. Another factor is Santa Claus because he comes back to try and destroy the world every now and then. Although the Earth is not under Irken control two million years later, the possibilty exists that the Irkens gave it up because of Santa Claus's interference, if Zim did manage to take it over.

Moving aside the fact of Santa Claus coming back to try destroying the earth every x-mas, I think, well, I'd like that Zim takes over the world, or even better, Gir jajaja blaugh

Despite the Christmas episode, if Dib wasn't around, Zim could have a chance at taking over the world. But, his plans are so flawed, which is why I love them. And Gir messes things up a lot too. heart You never know, Zim could have a good day and win... xd

Well, if Zim does take over the world, he promised the moon to Gir. It's better than nothing. biggrin

Jhonen had already planned an idea for the ending, though it probably wouldn't have been used anyway: http://www.thescarymonkeyshow.com/features/invaderdib.htm

Even so, it might give you a good idea of what the ending could have possibly been like. 3nodding

For more of the cancelled episodes (many of which I would have loved) here is the link: http://www.thescarymonkeyshow.com/features/scripts.htm

Actually, in one of the cancelled episodes, found at thescarymonkeyshow.com, Gir does take over the world xp while Zim is gone. I believe the episode is called 'the trial' 3nodding . It was a neat episode too...

Yes, I read that. It was awesome. xd That's actually my favorite of the cancelled episodes. It was only temporary, though, so I don't know if it counts. I wonder if Gir ever told Zim, if he would believe him(probably not, even with the medallion as evidence). I also wonder who overthrough Gir. I'm placing my bet on Dib.

Okay, I'm going into Kollege Lecture Mode again. Zim would never, ever, in a million years, conquer the Earth...unless, of course, he did it accidentally!

Zim threw all of Irk itself into perpetual blackout on his birthday (smeeting day?). The blackout lasted five years. Horrible Painful Overload Day, also Zim's birthday. Zim then blacked the planet out again, for another four years trying to escape his smeet skooling. Horrible Painful Overload Day II. Zim singlehandedly murdered Tallest Miyuki with a science experiment gone awry. It later returned for Tallest Spork. Zim used a Maim Bot and a snack machine to throw half of Devastis into a blackout. This got countless potential Invaders missorted and thousands more lost in the system, including Tak. Zim destroyed half of the Irken homeworld by stealing the Frontline Battle Mecha #4.

Inconceivable stupidity on Zim's part, yes.

But they were all accidents.

Because he's so narcissistic and tunnel minded, Zim wouldn't take the Earth with any plan he cooked up, whether Dib was there to stop him or not. But set him up for an accident, and the pint sized alien would pull it off flawlessly. He might wreck his base as collateral damage, but if it was an accident or was ripe with the potential, then...

"Prepare for some DOOM!"

I think Zim can't take over the world but Gir sure can since humans on the show are stupid but Gir is extremely stupid meaning he would probably do something that will erraticate all human life on earth without realizing it. xp
