Amidst a crowd of shoppers and festive-goers emerged a skulking figure, wrapped in so many things to keep her warm that almost all that was discernible were two long, trailing twintails and two chattering skulls who followed behind her, bickering amid each other. Ruria trudged through the snow, an element she was never too fond of due to its intense cold, until reaching the place designated to meet Rajih. It had been some days since their last encounter....her stomach still felt like it had butterflies to think about it. Parts of it still confused her, really. She had asked herself many times since the same questions, over and over. Why had he come for her, was it really her he wanted, or did some deeply hidden part of him simply yearn strongly for her magic? That aside, what if he had felt her magic too much, and knew of the horror that lay dormant in her, waiting so patiently to be birthed? The same horror her mentor was trying to force out of her every day she studied under him, the same mentor who interrogated her daily on 'The Majin's comings and goings'. At this rate, Rajih was sure to be frightened away, either by her own doings or her mentor's, or both. Maybe he had asked her here to tell her he didn't want to see her, or....
Ruria sneezed as a large snowflake attempted to gain entrance into her nose, and she flailed in front of her face to make the powdery ice go away. She frowned in distaste as Bitter and Biter rolled the snow around awkwardly with their heads, making small "snowmen" to which they then added twig arms and attached themselves to the top. Skullmen.
"Congratulations, you look even more ridiculous than before," ruria snorted. Though horrible, mostly....the heads did usually find a way to lighten her mood.

Since the day that Rajih had faced off against the most evil one....Augh, the stupid....Black Heart....guy. Who's name he didn't remember...Cymbeline..Falius...who cared.
No he was more concerned about his growing like for Ruria. Intensely slow and warm, it's how he felt when he thought of her. Was it perhaps due to her...herself? He'd like to think so, no, He'd like to know so. But somewhere deep in his mind he wondered if it was her magic, which was almost infinite...and deep and dark and inviting.
He shivered as the memory passed through his body, and clutched his pants, rubbing his palms on them before he held the basket. Yes that's right...a basket. It was full of goodies perfect for a winter picnic, something he had specially planned for him and Ruria to make up for the day before.
His face though instantly hardened as he thought of Kib..Fib...Jib...?? Whatever the hell that guy was.
When he saw the long haired pig tails of Ruria, he instantly reached over to play with them, perhaps shocking her.
"Ruria." he whispered behind her, kissing her neck before looking past her to the skulls and snorting at their ensemble, "My, The two are fond of their new surroundings aren't they?"

A sudden press of warmth on her neck from the sudden appearance of Rajih caused little Ruria to shiver, though not exactly from the cold. She turned to face him, a somewhat surprised look on her face as to why he held....was that a basket?
"That's an interesting object to have on your person," she said, eyeballing it. "You don't have a small dog in there, do you?" she paused a moment in front of him as if thinking, then took a step closer and hugged onto his middle in a gesture of affection. She still felt quite awkward with what real affection was, and when it should be given, but....
Bitter and Biter shifted their positions on their snowmen bodies to look at each other, then proceeded with an obnoxious, clackering cackle that could only mean the worst.
Ruria winced a little as she pulled back, her body still sore and bruised all over from the heavy training Sibelius had been giving her. She did not reach to touch and shelter the effected areas, but ignored them. A true lady does not discuss her ailments. "This is an odd place to meet, Rajih." she nodded, gesturing to the entrance to the forest, which looked quite different covered in snow. "You aren't planning to kidnap me are you?"

He was a little disappointed when she didn't jump but shrugged as she turned around, his face instantly turned into a coy smile. "That my lady, Is a special surprise." He tucked the basket away from her before looking down, enjoying the pink rosey eyes of hers. To be put simply, he just really enjoyed looking at her.
He grinned as he looked away, whistling. "Perhaps not a Puppy, Perhaps not a Kitten. I guess you'll have to take a walk with me to find out ya?" He oofed at her sudden hug but laid his hand on her back, patting her gently. "How have you been holding up Ruria? Is...What's his face still pushing you too hard?" He gave a stern look. Hib...Nib...Mib...What's his face had a tendency to overreact over the silliest things. One of them being that Rajih was in fact a Majin, the very kind that he hunted and was training Ruria to hunt.
He's stern look was lost though as he caught sight of the two skullmen before sighing and gesturing over to them. "Come on cretins. Your mistress will be sad if you sat there all day and she didn't have your company. Plus I brought something that would entertain you." He winked at them before looking to her again.
"Is it odd?" His smile was coy as he wrapped his free arm around her waist, "Well, It wouldn't be hard with you so willing to come." He tugged her closer before looking up, "Though it would be a fun game, do you want to be little red riding hood and I'll be the big bad wolf?" he moved her so fast that she wouldn't see it coming. One moment he held her by his side, the next he had her firmly planted in front of him, tipping her chin up so he could look in those rosey eyes he liked so much. "If I catch you, will I get to take a bite out of you? My little red riding hood?" His eye's a normal bright green, darkened. Though the color's didn't say danger, if she looked close enough, he wouldn't let what happen at the cottage happen again. As he held her, his facade faltered and he chuckled. "Though I have a feeling you'd get away and make it to Grandma's house." He nipped her nose before righting her and taking her hand affectionately in his. "There's a clearing here, That you might want to see."

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★✰

She attempted to keep a serious look locked onto Rajih's beautifully deep teal eyes, but her lips betrayed her as they curved into a small grin. She hadn't quite felt this way with another human--well, not that Rajih was actually human -- maybe that was the reason? She didn't truly know. She only knew that she liked it when his hands were on her or when he looked at her, or played with her hair in such a childish and innocent demeanor. It was almost contradicting, knowing what he was capable of, what he almost did when he had become drunk and famished for her magic.
"What's his fa--? Oh, Sibelius." she bit her lower lip, half out of frustration with her mentor, and half out of an uncomfortable worry. Sibelius was indeed teaching her the ways of the Blackhearts, to hunt Majin. "He is quite persistent that I not spend time with you, and his stupid balls keep hitting me in the ribcage. No matter what I do, I can't seem to block them all the way." This might have sounded quite perverse to one who did not know that Sibelius, in actuality, utilized two giant steel balls with spiked nubs on them. "He says that if I won't listen to him on his first edict, then I have to get used to the pain." her eyes had dropped to look at the snow, her expression still and distant.
Some of what Sibelius told her of course made sense. It was dangerous territory to have a closeness, especially that of intimate nature, with a Majin whom had already proven to her that if he should try to take her heart, she might not be able to stop him because of those emotional ties. She had always told herself that she could easily take care of her own affairs, that if such a thing were to ever happen, she would be able to deal with it and its consequences. Now, however....would she be able to hurt Rajih, if he tried to really take her heart? Or would she become incapacitated again, simply let him have it...?
"And what of you? What is it you have decided to do to become a Knight?"
She had been half-listening to Rajih's words until he playfully nipped her nose, and forced a smile and a laugh from her.
Ah, Red Riding Hood. It had been one of the fairytales she had been more fond of. Looking at Rajih now, he did have a somewhat wolfish gleam in his eyes, something that threatened to gobble her up if she should lose her restraint and let him have a nibble...or a bite, or a drunken gulp. She shivered watching the colors swirl in his eyes, face inches from hers. "There's always the possibility I would feel bad for the poor little wolf and give it a bone," she cast her eyes mischievously towards Bitter and Biter, who promptly rolled off their snowman bodies in haste.
"Lead the way, wolfie." she teased, turning towards the direction he pointed. As she felt the warmth of his larger hand closing on hers, she felt her heartbeat quicken, and her eyes again became caught in the distance, lost in thought. There was an emotion she felt now, a strong emotion that she couldn't put her finger on what it was exactly. A mixture of concern, affection and care, something akin to fear that echoed with each beat of her heart, the feeling of fear of losing something valuable, important. There were still so many things she wanted to ask him.
Why are you kind to me? Why, when you know what I have to become? Why, when I am not the precious thing you seem to behold me as? ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★✰

"Yes, Him. What's his face." The name went through one ear for the majin and out the other. In truth he considered the fact that he might have needed to know the name of a man who might or might not kill him in the near future but then again, who needed to know names after death? Rajih's eyebrow rose at the exclamation from his little lady before frowning.
"You'd think he'd take it a little easier on a girl." He brushed his fingers over her rib cage, willing it to be better before grinning, "I am sure that he finds me quite the annoyance for his future Black Heart after all." he nodded again, quite aware of what Ruria's future may hold. Though he had no intent on becoming a witch eater, Majin we're still persecuted and judged solely on their race alone. Something Rajih couldn't help. If it came down to fighting against Ruria in the future, he would do it. He liked her a lot, but his life was still incomplete and he wanted to die happy, not with a scythe run through him at the woman he had finally come to trust.
As tragic as that sounded, He shook his head at the torture of her master before smiling. "You must really like me to keep fighting him over it." He spoke it almost in wonder before sighing, "Should I go find him and beat him up so he gets used to us dating? He sounds like a over protective father rather then your teacher." He snorted, "But him being a old man makes sense like that yeah?"
"Ah..." He shifted awkwardly before looking away, "I think I need to find a Cerberus knight and ask him to take me under his wing. Or her's." He looked away, "Though their isn't many openings for a Cerberus Squire at the moment, it seems everyone and their mother since the attack at the ball has taken to defending themselves and moved to be Knights or Ars Liliums."
He laughed so hard that he had to pause in his walking to look at the skulls. Bone to the wolf eh? "Hey Bitter, Biter, I am kinda of hungry, care to let me gnaw at you guys?" He grinned again before easily taking her hand in his again and tugging her to the clearing.
Once through though, He had to shield his eyes from the glare of sun on snow before moving to the middle of it. It was, in truth almost perfectly circular shape. Tree's swayed gently overhead them and like a crown, enhanced the bright blue sky overhead. He took a deep breath, of snow, cold and woods before looking at Ruria.
"I use to come here in the summer and practice my water magics." He grinned again as the magic formed in his hands, water seeped from his hand to the ground. Where there was once snow, thick and white, melted away by his spell and dried to make a comfortable place to set up the picnic he had stowed away in his basket.
"Let me just..." He flushed as he set it up, looking over his shoulder at her. "Set it up here and then we can eat." If he didn't comment on her troubled expression, it was because he was so focused in perfecting the area for her. She was though oddly quiet to him now and had him slightly worried. Did she not like being out here? He had hoped they could have a more romantic...something....without interrupting Teachers and Skulls.

"The man my mother attempted to marry me to was a Cerberus Knight. I was actually a little surprised, considering how much she hates magic. I think she was more interested that he held a little place of power, and had money and stature, I suppose...Though from what I understand about the knights, it's not money or stature that secures you a place among them." She had actually not thought about that predicament until just now, after so long. The sudden thought that there was a man out there who believed himself to be affianced to her was almost laughable, and yet horrifying to her in the same aspect. His beliefs or not, she would not become a doll for another person's gratification again. "I think if you show the right person your real intentions, it will be easy for you. For me, with 'what's his face', I simply just...asked, I suppose."
It made a small smirk curl on her lips to picture a small Rajih traipsing into the forest to dabble in magic. Maybe a little envious. Ruria's own life was quite sheltered and scheduled; and her mother hated the idea of anybody devoting their life to magic. She was, afterall, not magical herself.
Ruria turned and covered her eyes as Rajih...did something. What -was- he up to? Bitter and Biter seemed to actually be enjoying themselves as well, and rolled out of sight into the snow-covered forest. "It's a cute thought that little, itty-bitty Rajih was sneaking into the forest to train himself," Ruria laughed. "Had I not had the life I did, I probably would have done the same, though. Maybe we would have even run into each other out here, maybe."
At times, she felt a sense of something bittersweet when she thought of her time with Rajih. Would he, one day, believe her a traitor to him, for the path she chose? She could never tell him the reason why... 'I want to become a Black Heart to make sure that others like myself don't hurt you,'....what a sordid way to base your life around. So, simply, it was... 'I want to become a Black Heart to be strong.' In a way, that was true, though. Their overly-divulging kiss the other night had made her realize one thing quite intensely...that while she believed she had been strong enough to take care of herself in that situation, she wasn't. She needed this to be able to be with him, as much as she needed it for herlself or to protect him.
"Can I look now? You're making me suspicious, highly suspect indeed! My face better not be greeted with an onslaught of snowballs...!" she semi-peeked through her fingertips, slightly turning her head back towards him.

Rajih made a face at the idea of a arranged marriage as she spoke. Had she been arranged to someone, Rajih would never have let the feeling inside him grow. The good thing though, was that it was not so and without it being so, left his heart....or what people called his majin seed settling back in peace.
He didn't really like the sound of Ruria's mother anyways. She didn't seem to care about her daughter, only about herself.
"I think I will then. It's just working up the courage to ask one of them. Being a Majin really takes a lot of options of acceptable people to ask. And I really doubt....that there is a Majin Cerberus Knight at the moment." He sighed before shaking his head, the blanket spread out before he looked at her back.
"I was not itty bitty." Rajih huffed in mock anger as he spread food and candles around before sitting back to look at it. Yeah it looked awesome, just like from all the romance novels he read. This was going to be good.
"No looking!" He yelped as he got up and then wrapped his arms around her waist. He took a moment to rest his chin on top of her head. "If you don't like anything let me know okay?" He whispered before covering her small hands over her eyes with his own and turning her around. "Are you ready?"

Above all things she had thus far learned about Rajih, she felt his will and aspiration to become a Cerberus Knight was more than enough to get him where he needed to be. No Majin Cerberus Knights...? That couldn't be so. "I'm sure you wouldn't be the only Majin, Rajih. From what I gather, some don't even know they're Majin until later in life anyways. I've never heard of the knights kicking people out for things like that. Still, they seem at odds a lot of the time with Blackhearts. You don't plan to pick on me when you become a knight, do you?" she jested. She knew the answer to that, anyways.
"I sometimes wish I could go with you and become a knight, too." She turned around as she felt Rajih's arms close around her rather puffy-from-being-bundled waist, but her vision was almost immediately obscured by her own palms. She wanted to fuss, but he always had a way of being so warm whenever he touched her, and it was...well, rather difficult to fight back against that.
"Hnnhg---! I am sufficiently prepared for whatever it may be that awaits me!" Upon removing her own hands from her eyes, she took on a startled expression, but was silent as she stared upon it. She wasn't expecting much, really...perhaps a delightfully horrific snowman-creature, or something of that nature, but what greeted her was a rare glimpse of green that had been asleep beneath the snow, littered with gently glowing candles and delicious things. She just stared at it for a very long, long moment, before she bit onto her lower lip, her knees buckling as she crumpled onto them in the snow.
To another, the gesture may have seemed an ordinary thing to do, or even a corny one, but it truly took her by surprise, so much that her chest tightened and her eyes misted up.
"I almost thought you had asked me here today to tell me to stay away," she said softly. "I thought that maybe, what you felt in me horrified you, so this is quite a different outcome." she lowered her head a moment, before turning to look back at him. Her cheeks were rosy as she smiled warmly at him, her eyes more reflective than usual as they had unshed moistness in them. "I really like this, Rajih~"

His eyebrow rose at her comment before nodding. He didn't argue with her but let his eye's drag to the blanket that they sat on. It was true, after all, he didn't know if Majin we're in the Cerberus knights or not. Its not like the Knights persecuted against Majin per se. But most felt the same way after all, Majin we're the ones to protect against. Could they ever see peace between the two races?
"I didn't know until recently either." He was quite aware of just how Majin worked. He pitied those who found themselves to be what they were late in their life's and then, he pitied the one's who always knew what they were. Even he looked at his own kinda with jaded eyes. "Haha." He laughed at her before smiling, "No but I will be sure to beat up anyone who does. Plus perhaps we can spar instead of "picking" on each other." He waggled his eyebrows, "I hear when a man and woman spars, it can turn into quite the fiasco." His eyebrow wagging increased with his perverted joke.
When he laid his arms around her, he smiled at her hands coming to cover her face. Shy little Ruria, always hidden behind her hands. Like he hadn't seen the face before. Maybe it was cause he felt no embarrassment with physical touching, something he seemed to find easy. "Lady Knight Ruria." He grinned before snuggling her, "There she goes, a sight to behold as she fights." His eyes hooded for a moment before shaking it away. Either way, their path's we're already chosen. "No, I think you being a Blackheart will be better. And you have such a good...er...Master of sorts." The last part was said while his face askewed weirdly.
He held his breath as she turned and uncovered her eyes. Though he wasn't sure how to make out her expression. "Uhm, there is a lot of sweets because I know you have a sweet tooth and...I attempted to make some kinda of pudding....I think of when we first met. Its like a white chocolate rasperry, I think thats what you had at the time." He rambled as he went closer to it, point out various things. He looked back to her, eyes widening when she hit the ground on her knee's before rushing over.
"Oh crap, You don't like it do you? I know it seems a little corny but I always wanted to do it with the girl who means a lot-" He cut off before frowning, "Tell you to stay away what?" He frowned deepened before he snapped his fingers. "Oh that? Your darkness inside you, the...I think I overheard about it. The poltergeist inside you?" He grinned before cocking his head. "Ruria, if you can handle the darkness inside me, the hunger, I think I can handle the magic deep inside you. Remember I tasted it inside you...." He tapped her chest with his knuckle before sighing in relief. "That's good. At first I thought you might think it a bit...over the top or something, but I wanted to do something nice." He nodded at her.

In sudden realization of her embarrassing stature, Ruria straightened, gathering a more serious look on her face, a look that bore deep into Rajih's eyes with the uttermost meaning of dire importance.
"....Pudding, you say?"
Without a moment's wait, she began to shuffle through the contents of the basket, until successfully unearthing what was thought to be the white chocolate raspberry pudding. She immediately consumed a bite of it, and offered Rajih one, holding the spoon full of it to his face. "It tastes good, but if I die from it, you can too." she said this with a smirk on her face, taunting him with the spoon.
"Sparring, huh?" she continued to explore the contents of the basket, face lighting up when a pastry was extracted, still slightly warm from wherever Rajih had bought it. While she loved to bake herself, nothing beat premade baked goods still hot from their ovens. Things just tasted better when you didn't have to make them yourself. "We could, but there's a high probability I might devastate you on the fields of justice. I think you may just have to prove your manliness to me and defend your honor." Again, she turned her gaze toward him, a glimmer of mischief on her face. She was becoming more playful, something she wasn't very used to with people quite yet.
Ruria leaned toward Rajih, who seemed so nervous about the whole aspect of what he had done, that she couldn't help but play with him a little. A pastry still held in her mouth, she spoke slightly muffled around it. "Maybe if you win, you'll be allowed another taste~" ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★✰

Rajih's eyebrow rose as he continued to speak. "And so, That..What?" He paused as she started digging through the basket before grinning. Like his grin reached ear to ear as she was so easily distracted. She really did love her pudding didn't she?
"Yes Pudding-" He started to say again before cutting off again, she had already found it and was digging in, he sat next to resting his chin in the palm of his hand as he watched her. Pleased that he made it right for her. His eyes widened as she offered him a bite before reaching over, his eyes held hers as he took the bite of Pudding before pulling back. "Mmm delicious." He smiled again before nodding, "I don't think you'll die..." His face turned to a frown before he started making gagging sounds, "Spo...spoke too soon! Farewell thee cruel world, I was young and in my prime and died in my white chocolate raspberry pudding of my own creation!" He fell on his back, his hand reaching out before falling back. A small twitch was all that was left to say he was alive.
"Yeah Sparring?" He pushed himself up, tired of the position before crossing his legs to get comfortable, he took out a small bowl of fresh fruit and nibbled on a piece of the pineapple. "Oh you sound so confident my little Darkness." He grinned before finishing his piece of pineapple and grabbing another, "How do you know I won't absolutely destroy you? You'll have to keep rematching me to win." He waggled his eyebrows before he noticed her expression.
That expression enticed the lust in him, for he was a younger man and had his eyes darken with her teasing. Though it wasn't bad his voice came out a little hoaser, a little rougher. His hand snaked out to take the one that held her pastry, only gripping it with a gentle hold as he seriously looked at her, bending closer to her space.
"And What if I wanted a taste now Ruria?" He didn't smile as he leaned a little closer, his mouth so tantalizing close before.....taking a giant bite of the pastry in her hand and pulling back, smiling with his mouthful. His eye's we're still dark with lust though no danger emitted from them.

Ruria's cherry-hued eyes widened as she watched her precious pastry purloined from her lips, and watched with horror as Rajih began to consume it in front of her. "You monster!" she cried, her small frame leaping like a predator from the underbrush, tackling him onto the blanket they sat on. "That was my pastry, and now it is ravaged and unclean! How are you going to pay for your heinous crime!?"
She leered down at him, deadly-serious looking, though it was obvious she was playing. Again, she had ended up....on top of him. To her, it seemed an unladylike thing to do, which meant...playful, yes? Though, there was something, a feeling a little...not very playful, per se, that she got from being able to feel his torso rising and falling with his breathing from beneath her. She made the mistake of keeping her eyes locked into his for too long, and their hungry, darkening hue made her shiver, and her face flush pink in the cheeks as she struggled to maintain her position.
Hnngh, what trouble did she get herself into with this one? She couldn't resist those eyes, and the way they beckoned with what they wanted. Not really.... Nor could she resist the idea, that he might reach up and grab her smaller frame with ease, rolling over her to again indulge himself in tasting her and her raw magic, taking it into himself. The idea thrilled her -- the thought of him taking it, able to rip it from her entirely if he wanted, able to kill her if he wanted with her in such a delicate and vulnerable state.

Rajih swallowed the pastry, it slowly sliding down his throat to plop in his belly as he wiped the crumbs off his foolish grin. He didn't realize the danger he was until it happened.
It all happened so very fast.
A fluff of black and snow clothing, bright pink hair and he was laying flat on the ground...again in what most would consider a very compromising position. Grinning, he tugged on her pig tail before it got any further from his reach before snickering.
"I already bit into it Ruria, what are you going to do hmm?" He tugged harder before catching her eyes again. The way she looked at him, all wide...and so much rosy pink made his blood thrum in excitement. Part of him called out to her, the darkness magic he knew she could feel inside him boiled. It took all he had at the moment not pull her down to his mouth. No, Instead he pushed himself up, letting her small frame drop into his lap before looking at her.
So much he wanted to do. So much he wanted to take.
"Ruria, This is really dangerous." His eyes swirled, flashing with heat and something more. "I want that inside you, beating so feverently." His eyes never left hers as he spoke, his hand slowly rising on the groove of her back. "This is a dangerous game to play with a Majin." He whispered before pulling himself back, His hunger would not control him nor would he take without being offered. He wasn't a savage beast....yet.

The thick folds of her winter-warm clothes did not prevent her from feeling Rajih's fingers crawling up her back. Her body tensed as if paralyzed when his face drew dangerously near to hers, her gaze lost in the swirling ocean color of his eyes.
"A game," her voice was small and meek suddenly. "Dangerous to play with you, Rajih?" she leaned towards him as he drew away, suspiciously inspecting the look on his face. "What is it you want inside me, exactly? Are you famished?" She was not against offering him a taste if he felt hungry, though she knew what had played out before could not be repeated. She had to learn to keep her strength and not become so easily overpowered to him, and he had to learn control of his hunger, too.
Her small, tenative fingers touched shyly against his warm cheek, hesitating only slightly before pressing more firmly. "If you're hungry, have a taste. Consider it practice...." she looked away, a little embarrassed. "I-if you want to be around me, you'll have to learn to control how much you take, since my magic seems to intoxicate you." Her eyes drifted back to his, and her mouth curved into a small smile. "I wonder how Rajih tastes." she was only half-jesting. It was common knowledge a human could never become a witch eater...if they were able to consume a heart or majin seed, there was a high chance it'd turn them into a monster of sorts, make them disappear. You either are, or you aren't. Still, curiosity couldn't be helped, could it? ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★✰
