The Arena is in a plain of existence between several different realms. There is nothing else in this plain but the arena.It is as large as two and a half football fields. The dungeon underneth it doubles as a maze and cells for the contestants. There are trails, traps, and tricks as well.
Somehow, someway you were kidnapped. It may have been while you were sleeping, fighting, or just not paying attention. A burlap sack covers your head, your hands are in bindings, and a collar is around your neck. As you feel yourself shoved to the ground, you hear a cell door shut followed by a voice.
"Welcome to the arena. There is no escape. The collar on your neck is rigged to explode if you step even one foot outside this arena. Don't try to get it off either, I made sure there was no way. In this arena are warriors from your realm and other realms alike. There may be people you know, but you have no choice but to fight and kill them. If you succeed in destroying all your foes, you will win the gift of immortals. Welcome to the arena. There is no escape."

Hydro woke up slowly, feeling groggy and unknowing of his location. He got up, shaking the burlap sack off of his head. He felt the collar around his neck and tried to rip it off. It was locked on tight. Hydro heard the voice of the jail keeper, and went up to the bars. He placed his hands on the bars, but was electricuted.
"I told you, there is no escape. Now get ready, you have a battle coming up. Word of warning though, try anything funny, and I'll use that collar to blow your head to kingdom come." The voice rang out as Hydro tried to get a good look at the person. All he could see was shadows.

Zonarch threw the sack down that was on his head. "You think you can just lock me in here and force me to fight! I'll sooner die than give you that satisfaction!" Zonarch's voice echoed through the dark halls. No answer returned. Zonarch's hand went for the collar around his neck. He tried to pull it off but to no avail. "This day just keeps getting worse and worse." Zonarch reached for the bars and felt a tingling sensation. "They're electrocuted, at least my captors know how to make a dungeon."

"Master, I've got word from the jail keeper. He says the two new recruits are ready. I can't wait to fight them for your glory!"
"Calm down. In time, you will get your chance. For now, give them something easy. Send in the Imps."
A dozen Imps ran out into the sand and marble filled arena. Hydro felt his cell shake, as it actually raised from the ground onto the arena above. The cage opened, letting him out.
"You want me to fight a bunch of Imps? This is funny."

Mica moaned and roll over, the vibrations of the moving cell waking her up and causing her head pain. The light of the arena was a little blinding, but she could clearly make out the imps standing before her as she took the sack off of her head . She screamed and jumped back, just barely dodging the claws of one of them. Crawling backwards as quickly as she could, she kicked at them, but couldn't find a moment to get under control.

"Really? Imps? And I fight them with no weapons?" The imps charged for Zonarch with anger in their eyes. "Guess no real choice." Zonarch cracked his knuckles and neck and charged back at the imps.

Hydro grabbed an Imp by the throat, throwing it into a group of others. He looked over, seeing the others.
"Zonarch? They dragged you here too? Oh, and Mica... wow, I feel like I haven't seen you in ages." Being distracted by fimilar faces got Hydro jumped by three imps, who nibbled at Hydros skin.

"Hey, yeah," Mica grunted, tripped over her own robes while trying to pull her sword. She finally got so frustrated with the annoying imps that she lunged forward and punched the two of them after her at the same time, "It's good to see you two again." She finally stood up and brushed off her robes, "Now, why exactly are we fighting imps?"

Zonarch grabbed the closest imp by the throat and lifted it up high. "Nice to meet you again Hydro, is it coincidence that we meet up here?" Zonarch concentrated his energy into the ground. He quickly vanished beneath the sand of the arena with the imp and just as quickly came back up alone. "That's one way of doing, time for a weapon." Zonarch used his fingernails to cut the back of his hand. His hand hovered over the cut, but the blood traveled up instead of down. Slowly it began to form a weapon. A short sword came into being as the blood went back into the cut and closed up. The blade had a light blue tint to it. "There we go my magnificent omni-blade."

Hydro grabbed an Imp off his shoulder and used his claw to slice through its neck. He kicked another offf of his leg and it hit a nearby wall, cracking its neck.
"No clue Mica. All i know is I got kidnapped while sleeping, and I know a bunch of annoying imps aren't behind it."

Nero sat silently in his cell, listening to the battle going on out in the arena. He was to be a champion monster, he was to kill all the other contenders. He stood up and Awakened, as the strangely familiar voice rang out. "It is time, monster." The cell lifted up above the arena, and opened up. "I will survive, Papi, I swear!" He took flight into the arena, letting out a roar as he gazed down at his opponents. "Grrrr, die!" He unleashed his Golden Vengeance, transforming the remaining imps into golden statues. He growled as the golden light subsided, his three opponents unphased.

"Master, he's going to attack them. They aren't suppose to fight each other yet!"
"Calm down. Let him do his damage. It'll speed the whole thing up, then I'll have my champion."
"Nero. I'd say thanks for the help, but I see you are in your awakened state... I've seen what happens and its not good." Hydro readied himself for an attack.

"Hydro, do you need any help with him?" Mica recognized that Hydro knew the monster personally, and thought it might be a better idea to the leave the fight up to him, since the monster seemed to have something strange about him. "Speak up if you need back-up," She gripped her sword tightly; turning the imps into gold was an impressive feat for someone, even a monster.

Nero roared at Hydro's remark, sending bolts of golden light at him. He thrashed his wings violently, firing a volley of golden needles stronger than adamantium at the other man, then swooped down at the woman, claws extended. "Ego mos non cado vobis pallens letalis! Die!"

Mica rolled out of the way, barely dodging the claws. "Hydro," she asked a little shaken, "Is this somebody I should be taking care of?" She ran her hand across her sword and the blade began to glow with fire. She wasn't certain if fire magic would work against him, but he was still to close for comfort and she had to do something. "Nero, I don't know what sort of being you are," she glared at him, "But if you intend to do harm to anyone on the mortal plane, I will send you back to where you came from."
