"Well, s**t," mumbled a delivery man as he got back into his truck. He couldn't wipe the grin off of his face, though. That closet-husband was a good ********. Mm-mm. "This s**t always happens to me, though. Surprised I'm not fired yet..," he chuckled to himself, sliding his hat back on and cranking up the stereo as he drove off. "Poor kids," he added in another mumble before driving off. That dude was gonna have a lot of explaining to do. That was for sure.
"Dude, I can't believe you're making me go on a ******** blind date," he complained to his friend who proceeded to throw his shoes at him. "Get over it. You need someone to calm you down. Find yourself someone to actually get with and stay with, ya know? Now put your ******** shoes on and brush your hair." He grinned at his friend, slinging the brush his ways. The well-dressed man sent his friend a glare as the brush hit him in the back as he bent over to tie his Converse. "I'm perfectly fine with the lifestyle I currently live, thanks very much," he sneered, standing and walking to the mirror in his bathroom. He brushed out his hair, making sure it was perfect. He set his brush down, turned off the light, and walked out of the small room. "You wanna paint my nails and put make-up on me, too? Make me look pretty?" he mocked, eyes dancing in amusement. "Don't tempt me," the other retorted with a grin. "Now, come on. Get goin' or you'll be late. He's not a particularly patient person when it comes to these things." "Oh, then we'll get along fantastically," he uttered as he stuffed his wallet and phone in his pants and grabbed his keys. He saluted his friend and roommate briefly then stalked out the door to his car. He just couldn't wait to meet this guy. He mentally flipped off his friend at this thought then slid into his car and started it up, zooming off towards the Italian restaurant the set-up was at. Oh, glee.
"The Leonard half of Leonard and Hanson," he told the woman at the podium up front curtly yet politely. She looked through a list before smiling and leading him to his table-for-two. "Uhh, can I get some sweet tea, please? With an extra lemon wedge if possible," he requested, the waitress nodding with the same smile. when she was gone, he checked his watch for the time. "Heh. Impatient, my a**. He's late," he muttered, slightly disappointed. He smiled and nodded when the waitress brought him his tea. "Thank you," he said appreciatively, taking a sip. He hummed at the taste and adjusted his loose tie, pulling it looser. He was forced to wear casual formal by his friend, loose tie and barely-buttoned shirt over a tee-shirt supposedly "completing the outfit," as his friend had put it. He rolled his eyes at this remembrance. He sighed, checking his watch again. Only two more minutes passed... He secretly was really looking forward to this date, and he was getting antsy. He kept reminding himself, however, that someone had to get there first. It just happened to be him. He could wait a little while.

Black. Red. Green Maybe blue. What will he think? I should just go black. That he'll know my actual eye color. Yeah, that looks good. I'm late... blue would go great with this outfit. What if he thinks I'm weird because of my eyes? No, just black. _____________
Luke stepped out of his car and slid around on his feet to stare at the restaurant. It looked very quaint for his tastes. It wouldn't have been his first choice...or any choice for that matter. Italian wasn't his favorite. "Hanson," he said to the hostess behind the podium. It smelled good in here. Sometimes he forgot that pizza was Italian. He shifted his eyes around in the direction the hostess was leading him. Jake had assured him that he was good looking but he was still worried. He was always worried. He stopped behind the chair the hostess presented him with. Damn... This guy was hot. He smiled and little too big and sat down. Unable to speak, all Luke could think was how he wanted to tackle him right then and there.

Tally blinked up at the man, a lemon-wedge stuffed in his mouth, rine showing as thought it were a bright-yellow, citrus-y smile. He quickly pulled it out and set it on his napkin, blushing a light pink in sudden embarrassment. He really didn't get embarrassed at all unless it involved looking like an idiot when there was a cute man or woman around. And, lookie there--a ******** adorable man. "Oh, uhm... Hi," he greeted with a sheepish smile. "I'm Tally, and I totally just made myself look like an idiot. I'm great at first-impressions. I know. No need to compliment," he added with his "Tally-grin" as Jake called it. It was basically a huge, cheesy grin that was just a bit crooked. Jake was straight, and he had threatened to jump Tally every time he grinned like that because he was so adorable. "So...yeah. Jake failed to inform me of what your name was...mind clearing up that bit of fog for me, please?" he asked with a sweet smile. "Your eyes are amazing, by the way. Contacts? I'm guessing they're really a dark grey. I'd love to see your real eye colour," he complimented, still with the same sweet, casual smile. "By the way, I'm feeling way under-dressed, because you look absolutely fantastic, and I'm kinda...meh. Sorry if I'm talking too much, it's just, I'm kinda nervous, because I haven't had an actual date in a while, and I'm praising Jake right now for setting me up with you even though I usually stay away from commitment because I commitment has not been nice to me, and, uhm... I'm just gonna... Yeah. You can, uhm, speak now..," he trailed off, suddenly feeling extremely idiotic. Ugh. I'm totally making an a** of myself...

"I.. ugh... hehe uhm... My names Luke and uhhh thanks, they're natural." He smiled and stared at the Guy, not knowing what to say. This Guy was really fine and even if it didn't work out, he'd like to get some really good sex out of it. The last thing he wanted to do was make a fool out of himself. "You look lovely." Luke ignored his urge to comment on the likes of his own attire and instead focused on the string of compliments he just received. "In fact the only way you could look any better is if you weren't wearing anything at all." Whooaa!! What the hell Luke? "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to say that."

Tally casually replied to his obviously accidental outburst. "Personally, I think I'm sexier when I'm just shirtless. I think legs are just awkward limbs." Then he grinned again. "I like you. Don't apologize for anything you say. Really. I won't judge you negatively, promise." He winked at him, body relaxing a little bit. "But, uh, just to clear it up... I kind of don't want to take this too fast...because I'm really starting to hope this might work out. Jake's right... I do need to change up my lifestyle a bit, and, maybe, you'll be the one to help me with that." He leaned forward, elbows resting on the table. His smile was hidden behind his folded hands, but his eyes shone brightly. Then, he overheard the word wine. He began glancing around at all of the bottles of dark liquid on surrounding tables. He cringed. "Um... would you actually mind if we left this place? Seeing all of the wine is kind of making me nauseated." He gave him a weak smile. "Maybe we could just go for a walk or something?" he suggested hopefully, hoping he wasn't offended.

Perfect, Luke thought to himself. He was tired of being used like some sort of sex toy. This was a real man. Someonone who had the balls to say that. Luke loved that. "Sounds wonderful," Luke said as he slapped a five on the table, "but I would feel bad if I diddn't leave something. He smiled and stood, "I believe that the chest is the sexiest part of a man. I think we will work out just fine." He laughed a little and stretched his arms out, pulling at his sleeves. "So where do you wanna go?" If Luke had his way, they would be sitting at his apartment in their pajamas, watching a movie.

Tally shrugged a bit as he stood, really relieved. "Like I said, we could go for a walk...or something. I don't know. I haven't exactly been on a date recently..." He rubbed the back of his head as they stepped out into the night air. He breathed in, smiling softly. "I'd invite you to come over to my place, but Jake's there probably ******** his girlfriend. I would just hate to interrupt that..," he said sarcastically with a grimace. "Anyway... We can do whatever you want. This is as much your date as it is mine." He then linked their elbows before sliding his hand down to clasp Luke's fingers in his own. "...Is this alright?" he asked him unsure.

Luke laughed a little at Tallys remark about Jake, "Well we could..." his eyes widened and he smiled and giggled a little. He had never had anybody hold his hand in public before. He liked the feeling. No, he loved it. It made him shutter a little inside and he smiled real wide. "Lets walk around Highyard park. I live by there." He looked down and giggled some more. His face faded a little red and he looked back up. "This is wonderful. I love it."

Tally smiled back with a little laugh. "God, I feel like I'm in high school again. 'Cept this time, the hand I'm holding belongs to a male, I'm almost happier than I was back then, and I'm really, really hopeful that I don't get screwed over again..," he confessed in a soft voice, looking up at the stars as they walked through the parking lot, Tally just following Luke, hand-in-hand. "Plus, you're so much better-looking than she was," he added with a grin, having to look slightly upwards into his eyes. "Ya know...this date has barely even started, and it's going a lot better than I thought it would," sang his happy voice. When they had stopped at Luke's car--he supposed it was, anyway--he leaned up and planted a kiss on his cheek. "See you in a minute, Luke," he whispered against his skin then pulled away from him, heading to his car a few spaces down. "I'll follow you. We can just park at your apartment since it's close," he called to him with a smile, sliding into his own car and starting it up.

cj2cj2 Luke's palms started to sweat as they neared his car. The doors unlocked themselves and the interior lights came on as usual. That always scared him a little. He froze when Tally kissed him. His lips were like nothing that he ever felt before. He wanted to feel them again, but not on his cheek. That would have to wait. His apartment. He hated showing people where he lived. He felt that it changed the way people saw him. As if the Gucci suit and the Bentley diddnt give it away. He tried not to flaunt his money but it had to come out sometimes. He continued on his drive like normal, looking back in the mirror to check on Tally. Luke's arms started to shake lightly as he rounded Highyard Park, his apartment building looming over the skyline on the north side of the park. At this point, Italian diddnt seem so bad. Luke pulled into the gate of the underground garage on the side of his building. He inserted his card and left it in the slot. Surely Tally would realize that he left it there for him to enter. Luke pulled up and watched Tally in the rearview mirror. After the gate raised a second time, he began to slowly make his way toward his parking area. The higher up you lived, the higher you parked. The apartment numbers were written on the walls and he sighed as he carelessly pulled his car into the middle of his 5 car slot. It was rather empty. Rarely used. His car was ascew with the clear white lines painted on the floor. Hopefully Tally wouldn't ask to see his apartment.

Tally sang along to the pop song that was playing on his radio as they turned into the garage. He reached out of his window and grabbed the card from the slot, holding it securely in his hand as he drove inside, continuing to follow him. Luke really lived in a nice place... He wore nice clothes, had a nice car, was gorgeous. There's no way this was really a guy that was single and interested in him. This had to be a joke. But when he parked and stepped out of the car to see Luke's adorable, nervous smile, he wanted this dream to last as long as it possibly could. He locked his car and walked over to Luke, handing him the card back. Then he intertwined their fingers again. "Let's go to the park, shall we?" he asked, smile plastered on his face from sheer happiness on how amazing this date was...and it hadn't even started! They began their venture through the park, exiting through the gate once again. "It's so nice tonight... A little chilly, but nice," he commented airily, kind of regretting not bringing a jacket along as the wind blew past.

Lukes stomach sank as he saw Tally get out of his car and head toward him. He shoved the card into his pocket and swiftly wiped his hands on his pants before letting Tally take it. His hands felt soft yet firm against his. The overwhelming sounds an atmosphere seemed to disappear as they walked through the park. Luke stopped at the large fountain in the center and stared up at the brightly light dolphin sculpture. It seemed to br jumping as if it were reaching for the stars. It was mesmerizing. "You know," Luke said, eyes focused on the sculpture "I've lived here for almost two years now, and I've never noticed this fountain." The thought depressed he a little. It showed how dull his life was.
