He'd probably sat on top of this roof now for many hours, just staring off into nothing while his mind figured out things. Like which pawns they needed to put a little extra work in with. Or which were getting too bold. And then there had been the quiet time he focused purely on the spell he maintained to keep them all safe. Remiel knew he'd need to feed again soon. In order to keep his strength up. Though there were times he just felt....lethargic and didn't want to do anything but lay in bed. Or sit on his throne.

Then he'd thought about those that he and Sariel had managed to find just recently. This town...Makai with its Academy. It held such spectacular wonders! They'd found Miusa! And Xander. Not to mention there were just so many delectable treats just walking around. But Remiel was firm in his decision of not hunting here. Not in Miusa's territory (as he called it).

But he was curious about this place. Always curious. Like the master manipulator he was, Remiel wanted to know what allowed this town to strive so well. Perhaps he could learn a thing or two that they could apply to their Sanctuary?

Probably a long shot, but still. Remiel enjoyed coming back here. Even if it was mostly to terrorize - lovingly - a couple of people.

Which was why he was sitting atop this roof. Waiting for its occupant to start moving around after a good night's sleep. And as soon as he heard her, Remiel was hopping (or jumping) off the roof to slip into the house itself. And sit like a little kid at the kitchen table.

"Miusaaaa~!" He whined, probably having just given her a heart attack for appearing seemingly out of nowhere. "I want to go explore the town! Will you show me the town? Pleaseeeee!" A 300+ old witch eater. Riiiiight. More like 5 and a half year old.

She had slept rather decently that night, a deep and dreamless sleep, the slightly cool night air gently lulling her into some frame of peace. Morning had come too soon, and as usual, Miusa started her morning routine. Out of bed she rolled, creamy white hairs semi-erect in places they usually weren't, bangs tussled and eyelids still half-open as she walked almost zombie-like into her kitchen, still dressed in her nightgown...a simple, white chiffon top that left something to be desired in the 'coverage' department, but...Miusa didn't exactly have guests at her humble abode, nor did she expect any, so it was more than a fright when she was shocked out of her skin by Remiel's voice.

A shrill scream burst from her throat as he sailed in through the window like some detrimental super-hero, and her hands flew above her head in a protective gesture as she ducked to the floor, eyes wide as she started up at him from her crouched defensive position. "...Remiel. REMIEL!" his name on her tongue turned into a stern roar as she stood upright, both fists clenched at her sides. "Who do you think you are, barreling in through my window like some cat-burglar?! And.... SHDJFKSHFS." She startle-cried again, covering her chest with both hands, then flushing and relinquishing the other to try to tug her rather short nightie down as far as it would go. At least she had panties on, but she hadn't been wearing a bra, and with her size of breasts, it was a little too easy to tell through such a flimsy top.

"Don't...." her face was flushed red, and eyes indignant and ashamed. "Don't you look at me!" Surely Remiel had seen his share of female bodies....she knew he had. It always made her a little sour to think about it, but it wasn't really her business, but Miusa refused to be lopped into that pile of "seen'em, did them"'s that she knew was quite massive for both of the twins. "I demand you burn any visuals you have just witnessed from your mind forever, or I swear, I will find you when you least expect it, and I will emasculate you with the jaws of life." Such an empty threat, but she had to say something.

Of course he got a fantastic look at the absolutely stunning lingerie Miusa was modeling this fine morning. Remiel had to stop and stare, wicked grin sliding along his face. He just rocked back and forth on the chair he was now straddling, mismatched eyes staring brightly at her. The witch eater did wince at the shrill scream and pout at the roar.

"Whaaaat!" He whined, giving her The Pout of all Pouts. "I told you! I want to go explore the town! Can't you show me around the town today?" He folded his arms along the back of the chair, resting his chin on top of his arms. "That is quite a marvelous outfit you have on there. Sariel would just love something like that!" The blonde haired man just laughed at her attempts to pull it down farther. Or hide those luscious breasts. Just to further leer at her, Remiel licked his lips slowly, eyes raking down her body. "Very nice. Is this what you where to sleep every night?" He inquired curiously.

"Why noooot?!" Now he was pouting again. And yes, still looking. He huffed, blowing a few strands of blonde hair out of his face, the rest of those golden lockes falling about him like a blanket. "Fiiiiiine. But can I at least tell Sariel? She really would love something like that." He paused. "Unless you have more of these...delicioius outfits. I could paw through them and pick one out for her~"

Laughing to himself, he 'politely' shut his eyes, and of course still peeked through one. "So can we? Please Miusa!"

There had been many unsettling thoughts which invaded Miusa's mind since the return of the twins. Mingled pieces of joy, comfort, woven together with fear and doubt and a feeling with no name that made her stomach twist into knots. It was hard to put her finger on why, especially looking at Remiel now, and his childish tendencies. She sighed, eyes drifting to the floor. "I suppose saying no would just initiate more infantile behavior, wouldn't it." Her honey-eyes flicked back up at him, scowling as she backed away into her bedroom, shutting the door more harshly than she had expected.

As she began to pull on her normal clothes of the day, Miusa couldn't help but plan ahead silently in her mind. More than likely, he was going to get handsy. He always did. He was going to look at her with eyes that showed an irrational hunger, a lustful want, or even need. Such things had caused ...well, strange reactions...in her last time, reactions she did not want to feel again, even though they had somehow felt enjoyable, dangerous, desired. I'm not going to give in and just be some addition to their pile... she thought, gritting her teeth slightly as she looked at herself in her mirror, before running a brush through her hair a few times and leaving the room.

She crossed her arms as she stood in front of Remiel, peering down at him as if she was looking directly through him; a dagger-like gaze she often used on her own students should they do something unsavory in her classroom. "I'll show you around, a little. Touch any of my clothes and I'll cut off the hand you took them with. Use either of those hands to attempt to make me filthy in any way, and I'll cut them off and force feed them to you." Her gaze narrowed, her gentling demeanor from their last meeting all but gone. It wasn't that she wanted to seem cruel, but her self-defense mechanism told her that this was how it had to be.

The walk from her home into the more populated part of town wasn't very far; a winding and worn path underneath sun-dappled shade of trees, antique street lamps lining the sides as they emerged onto a cobblestone area with many old, homely looking buildings sprouting up. "Center-hub of Makai's town. Students are often around here. Right you have a lot of ingredient shops, left are some smaller shops and homes, and straight is a lot of eateries and bakeries, and at the opposite end of the town are the alchemia stables." She pointed each thing out to him, occasionally grabbing on his sleeve and tugging when she'd notice his eyes straying onto the occasional student. She sighed inwardly, something like a lump forming in her throat. "Is there anything specific you want to see, Remiel?"

Potentially bad choice of words.

He just smiled in a cheesy fashion, the answer to her comment clear in his eyes. Remiel was determined to go see the town! And he'd be as annoying and obnoxious as needed to get what he wanted. Plus, it was Miusa! She was just fun to annoy anyways. It was all done with love~

Remiel laughed at himself. And then laughed as she backed into her bedroom. "Whaaaat? I can't come watch you change?" He called poutingly through the door. The blonde haired man even went so far as to shuffle his feet where he sat to make her think he approached the door. Meanwhile, his eyes were roaming around the kitchen. Possibly looking for a cookie jar. Or something equally as sweet tasting. Not that anything would ever compare to his Angel. Though he'd found that sugary stuff put him in a pleasantly playful mood.

When she reappeared and stood in front of him, Remiel directed a wide-eyed owlish look up at her. He may have shrunk a tiny bit under that gaze. Miusa could have that effect on them. Anyone else would just get an exasperated eye roll. "What if you give me the clothes instead? Then I wouldn't be touching them without your permission!" He compromised cheerfully. Then gave her an epic pout at the second. "So cruel! And you say we are terrible?" The witch eater snorted at her before bouncing to his feet.

And wrapped his arms around Miusa to give her a twirling hug before setting her down and bounding outside before she could smack him. Where he waited for her to join him.

Once in the town, his eyes darted everywhere. From shop windows to building structures to people passing by and finally the many sets of breasts. He partially listened to Miusa, eyes wandering from interesting person to possible stalk later targets. Until he was tugged away and out of his thoughts. Finally, he just snatched Miusa's hand and placed it within his arm, shooting her a quirky grin.

"You nekkid?" He offered innocently.

"Those bakeries have sweet things, yes?" He giggled, then tilted his head. "What are alchemia?" The name rang a bell, but he was drawing a blank.

She wanted so, so much to be angry at him for grabbing her anyways, but couldn't bring herself to pull her arm out of his grasp as he interlaced them together. She did have it in her to twitch a glare in his direction at the naked comment.

"And why exactly would you want that?" she growled, though there was a hint...just a hint of playfulness in her voice. She shook her head, glancing down the road she knew the bakeries were. "Yes, they have sweet things, and other good things." She could remember the delicious taste of steamed buns from one of her favorite bakeries, but remembering Remiel's general tastes, opted to take him to one more known for its sweet things.

The savory smells were more enticing than she remembered; it'd been a whlie since she had been there. A perky maid-type greeted them as they entered the Rose de Leche, and Miusa had to twitch again, knowing Remiel would be eyeing her from top to bottom.

"Honestly," she murmured quietly, taking a seat the hostess maid offered them. "Stop eyeballing the poor girl." she bent her elbows on the table, interlacing her fingers and resting her chin on them. "You make me look foolish, walking with me like you're my lover, but eyeing everyone else. People will think I'm an easy-girl being cheated on." Partially a joke, though she couldn't help but let her sentence be laced with a bit of ice.

She changed the subject as the hostess-maid delivered a plate of samples to their table; it seemed they had come in on one of the bakery's specials days. She waved her hand at it to motion Remiel that he could have it all; she didn't quite have an appetite that morning, but she watched him carefully for a moment before finally speaking. "So, are you still unable to tell me about your little side project?"

He gave her an angelic look with a smile so innocent it was almost blinding. Which meant he was really directing that infamous chesire smile of his down at her. "Because nekkid bodies are so lovely~" He replied cheerfully, reaching over to tap her on the nose. And of course he purposely ignored the glare. And the growl. Instead winking at Miusa and letting his gaze wander around to all the delectable individuals scampering around the town.

Until they started heading in the direction of sweet smelling things of deliciousness. "I do love sweet things." He whispered obnoxiously to Miusa as they entered. And then he was distracted with eying the actual food items and the people that could feed his lustful hunger. And oh hey, she had nice breasts. And that guy had nice arms...

"What? She was appealing!" Remiel pouted. Only a little, as he slid into his seat. Mismatched eyes darted around, taking in everything. The table they sat at. The windows. The placement of seating arrangements. All of it was filed away into that part of his brain that always took inventory of what he had to use around him. Or what escape routes he'd need.

"Let them try." A flicker of...something flashed across his eyes. Anger? Possessiveness? Protective instinct? It was unclear. But Remiel definitely wasn't about to let anyone try and take advantage of Miusa. The only ones allowed to do that were himself and Sariel.

And just as quickly it vanished, his eyes widening like a little kid just being introduced to a candy store when he saw the plate of sweet things. He poked around at a few, sniffed another, and finally settled on one to try. Some chocolaty thing with cream in the middle. And a little hint of cinnamon. Remiel popped the whole thing in his mouth after a few nibbles, giving Miusa that annoyingly innocent look at her question.

"What ever might you be talking about? Unless you mean my tormenting your Professors." He added, a sheepish grin forming. Remiel spun the plate around and shoved it gently towards her. "Try one, my white lily. Please?" He knew she wasn't in as perky of a mood as he was. But he couldn't help but try to make her smile. Make her not shoot those scowls and icy looks his way.

"What is your favorite thing here?" He asked, tilting his head and placing it on the palm of his hand, resting his elbow against the table.

An eyebrow raised at that brief change in demeanor, but she remained silent. It was a fool's errand to ask him what he meant, or why he suddenly exuded those uncharacteristic feelings. Should she ask, she'd only get a cryptic answer, of course. And to top it all off, he was keeping secrets.

She sighed somewhat, drooping her face on one hand it was leaned against, one eyebrow raised at him. "I think you and I both know I don't mean that. It's not as if I care about it one way or the other besides pure curiosity. I'm a ghost in this world, remember? What difference does it make if a ghost knows your secrets."

At his suggestion, she picked up a Butter Eye Bun, taking a bite from it and licking the bits of white sugar off that clung to her soft lips, catching the light from the window and glittering before being swept away by the very tip of her tongue. "My favorite, hm... I don't really crave sweets as much as I used to, but if I had to pick one here, probably the one I'm eating now." It was really not very elaborate for a sweet....a simple, slightly sweet but airy bun with a buttery and sugar center, and sugar sprinkled on top. "I've preferred meat buns mostly, but those aren't sweet at all, but still scrumptious to bite into."

She continued to watch him, some odd feeling rising in her chest as he fed and examined, smelled, and touched the confections in front of him, until a small laugh escaped her lips, though it was more like a chortle if anything. "I don't remember you being so child-like before," she hadn't meant it as an insult, but more an observation at his behavior since this morning. "I thought you used your manly ways to sway people into your good graces, are you trying something new?" She covered her mouth with her hand, stifling back the need to laugh again. Miusa didn't know why exactly, but the idea of Remiel being uncharacteristically bumbling and childlike around men and women he was trying to seduce was...humorous.

At least laughing had jarred her out of her gloomy mood, and straightened her brain to realize... Though she cared for the twins, she could not, could not, fall in love with them. Those were far too dangerous waters to tread, even if they were like her, even if they wouldn't wither before her and leave her alone again. It would simply bring too much pain, too much sorrow and fear. Miusa's slight smile turned bittersweet and her gaze slid down to the table, as if staring through it. She had only ever loved Runa before, and Runa....

...Runa...

Runa died hating her, feeling betrayed. Love...brings terrible things.

"If you think you can seduce me with infantile behavior, you're barking up the wrong tree. I'm not exactly maternal." She shook her thoughts away, smirking at him as if challenging.

The witch eater just gave her that innocent smile again, eyes glinting with a mischievous look that said he definitely had secrets! He just wasn't sharing them. Not yet anyways. "Perhaps one day, a little white ghost will stumble upon those secrets." Remiel teased, popping another of the sweet treats into his mouth. This one had gooey caramel in the middle and something crunchy he thought was a nut of some sort.

He watched much more closely then he really needed to as Miusa licked those flakes of sugar from her lips. Once caught doing so, Remiel just gave her that impish look, eyes flickering down to the plate again. "I don't think I can pick a favorite if I've never tried them all." He said thoughtfully, finger tracing around the rim of the plate. "Although there was one I tried some time ago. A chocolate with light caramel, I think they called the stuff marshmallow? And a...uhh, nuget?" His brow wrinkled in a slight frown. That was probably cute. "I think that's what the inside stuff was called." A slight pause. "A meat bun?" That sounded rather good.

Remiel always seemed to have the attention span of a gnat while out and about. Either watching chest- people, his surroundings, or leering at things he really liked. Like a small child with a bad habit. But beneath that, tucked away in some portion of the witch eater himself, lurked a dark creature. The true witch eater. The part of him that was capable of manipulating a whole town to do his bidding. Monster. The monster he was lurked within the cage he placed about it. Until the times he needed to rely on that part of himself.

"Of course I use my 'manly ways'!" He scoffed, mock offense flashing along his face. With something else. An old sadness. "But it doesn't work as well on you." He whined, folding his arms on the table and leaning closer. "However everyone else is fair game, my white lily." Remiel chuckled, flashing his eyes towards a lovely morsel of flesh and beauty staring his way. With just a look he saw a flush paint her cheeks, making the blonde grin over at Miusa. "See? They can't resist me~"

He was glad to see her mood lighten up, if only for a brief moment. His hand reached out and snatched hers, holding it tightly and meeting her gaze. For a just a minute, he looked anything but childish. "I am an old creature, Miusa. Old and dangerous. And definitely not good. Remiel spoke quietly, his voice only for her. "I have done many things to stain my hands red. Have lived up to the name 'monster' more times than I can count. But this..." He gave her a sad almost hallow smile, pointing at himself. "This is what's left of what you could probably have once called the part of me that was a 'man'."

Releasing her hand, he slumped back in his chair, running a hand through his hair, idly letting his gaze wander around the shop again. And then his features were right back into five year old mode. He sat up excitedly and turned to Miusa with a bright grin. "Let's go clothes shopping, Miusa!" That was probably an unnerving thought. Especially with his enthusiasm towards the idea.

Perhaps it was waking up to the impression of her house being burgled, perhaps it was her awkward 'jealousy' but Miusa was... temperamental at best. As he released her fingers, she withdrew her hands as if from a scorching flame, scowling shadily at him. Shopping....? Really?

Her chair made a slight skidding noise as she pushed herself out of it, putting a few coins on the table to pay for the service, and turned away from him, a grim and glowering look to her face. "I don't feel like it." she said shortly, amber eyes glancing at him. Why did he look at her so, why was he so strangely...childish around her now? Somehow, it infuriated her.

"I don't want to waste my entire day taking you around Makai just so you can ogle people and make me look foolish, and..and....HRRGH." she finished her sentence with an inaudible growl, storming out of the bakery like one with their feathers ruffled.

They can't resist me.

His words made her fingers twitch, and her teeth grit in a grimace. So haughty, stuck on himself... Had he always been this insufferable? Had she always been so frustrated by it? Miusa slid into a crevice-like ally between two shops, grabbing tufts of her hair with both hands and tugging lightly in annoyance. I'm not some babysitter, damn it! Go fondle your pathetic people if you must, and stop wasting my time! she thought.

Why couldn't Runa still be here? Why did they also suffer the time curse, but were able to have someone forever, and her person was gone, stripped from her at the beginning? Runa, Runa.... Why do I have to be punished this way? Why couldn't we have lived like this together?

Ridiculing emotions flooded into her, breathing life into the unique Majin Seed that nestled itself beside her own magical heart. She had battled with it long, long ago to maintain control of her person, herself...and after all this time of being dormant, it pulsed, reminding her.... 'I'm still here, I can still take you...' One hand twitched as she brought it to clutch instinctively over her chest, catching her own breath as if she'd been kicked in the stomach, her other hand bracing against the brick wall behind her.

Damn it, Remiel. This is your fault.

There was genuine shock that flickered across the blonde's face as Miusa seemed to snap like a rubber-band stretched way beyond it's limits. He may have even flinched slightly, sitting up straighter as she stood up. Something had definitely shifted in the atmosphere between them. Remiel's face blanked as he calmly watched her.

What does she expect of me? He let his mismatched eyes follow her out of the bakery, though he himself remained inside for a few minutes. Slowly, he rose, flashing the lovely doll that had been their server a smile.

"Thank you, my dear, for your excellent service!" He said quietly, winking at the girl before he slipped out of the bakery casually. Once outside, Remiel sighed heavily, glancing up towards the sky. He stood there, letting the warm rays of sunlight heat his skin, mind elsewhere. They focused on the many tiny threads that wove around him, each one connected to a different person. A spell. Subtly cast on all his pawns and people he specifically wanted to watch or keep track of. Or, the even more rare cases, of people he may sort of care for. Besides Sariel that is.

Finding the one he sought, the witch eater walked through the streets, blending into the crowd until he just seemed to disappear among the many faces. When he found Miusa, Remiel didn't approach her or reveal his presence right away, a deep frown forming.

What? What did I do? What do you want me to do?

A hand gently rested on top of hers, fingers curling slightly with her own. Strong arms surrounded her, pulling her against him. Remiel didn't say anything right away, resting his chin on top of Miusa's head. Whether or not his presence could help, he at least gave her someone that understood that pain. The one that he and his twin had succumbed to so long ago.

"You truly are remarkable, Miusa. Fighting it for so long." He whispered. "Don't ever let it take you. Please."

The world was black, a thick suffocating fog as she closed her eyes. She could feel the rough texture of the bricks under her fingertips, hear the rising beat of her pulse in her ears. Anger, hatred, resent and bitterness embraced her lovingly, again after so very, very long. At that moment, it felt so easy for her to be pulled down into that quagmire. For centuries, she had lived quietly, a ghost. She was alone, save for Grimtooth, and had successfully taught herself to be satisfied with 'temporary' company. This left her never having expectations, longings, thirsts or hungers for anything but the past which she could not forget, would not forget.

Yet, the arrival of the twins and the fact they shared the same time curse as her... Miusa had been able to win the battle her heart and the majin seed within her waged because she had accepted a hollow existence, and had no longing of emotion to rouse the feelings within her....until now.

Now, all the darkness, suffocating cold pulled her in, though....now it was something warm, something more solid and simply warm. Surprised, Miusa slowly opened one eye, and then another, only able to see Remiel's chest at first, and even then it took a moment for her to realize he was holding her into him. Her first reaction was to pull away, or shove him away, but she was still. This is your fault. Your fault. Your fault. How much she wanted to blame him, solely him, for this. She was fine until they showed up again, wasn't she?

...Yet his words surprised her, and she raised her head to him, her eyes glaring daggers at first, but gradually softening. "...So, you knew." How he knew, she had no idea. She once more scowled, staring at the ground. Had she the room, she'd have backed away to 'safety', but the brick wall behind her prevented that. "But I'm not like you. I'm not..." she seemed to be struggling with her words. "I'm human, I'm not...this... I don't know.... I don't know what you want from me!"

He watched her carefully. Eyes no longer the playful five year old he acted. They were older. Much older. More like the time cursed creature he was. Being this close, he could feel it. Very very faint at first. But pulsing gradually. His hold increased a little as he murmured soft strange words. He wanted her to relax. To find her center of gravity again. And lock it back down within herself.

A sad smile ghosted across his lips. "Suspected, since the first time I saw you again. Confirmed now, though." His voice was soft, void of its usual perverted undertone.

Hearing her words, seeing her struggle, he frowned down at her. He slid his arms away until he was able to grip each of her arms tightly. Remiel pushed her back against the wall and forced her to meet his gaze. For a brief moment, he let that feral and dangerous creature peer into her eyes. Let her see the true witch eater in his gaze. The side of him that could send chills down the spine. That could carelessly destroy the lives of another just for his own gain.

"No~" Remiel hissed out low. "You are not like us. You are not a monster." He blinked, that dark 'thing' disappearing, leaving only a weary witch eater in its place. "You, my white lily, are stronger."

Remiel released his hold, raising a hand to gently brush the backs of his fingers along her cheek. Reaching down, he grabbed her hand and brought it up to his lips, pressing them against the back of her hand. "Keep winning. That's what I want." He murmured.

"Now," his tone was light and cheerful, Remiel shifting moods like a person might flip the page of a book. "Allow me to be your escort him, dear Miusa?" He offered her his arm, being a polite gentleman. Because he totally could be a polite gentleman, see?! "Please?" He added in a slightly whiny tone.

Why was this man able to subdue her just by a touch, or by specially worded sentences? Miusa continued her unrelenting gaze up at him, a slight tremble to her fingers as Remiel took them to himself. She stared at his chest when she felt his lips, warm and soft, pressing against them. As much as she wanted to dismiss them, the warmth from his body and touches, his kisses, they felt good.

"Monsters...You call yourself." she had a somewhat sad, far-away look on her face, but turned her expression back to him when he continued speaking. "...Winning." she parroted, her gaze dropping to his offered arm. She resigned to her fate and took it, an unusually quite demeanor about her as she walked with him.

After some minutes of this, she finally spoke again. "Say, Remiel.... Did you know I died, once?" her lips were slightly curved into a smile, but it was anything but cheerful. "It was a really long time ago, before I met you and Sariel. Back then..your kind....weren't even a glimmer in anyone's eyes. Your kind....existed only in fairytales." she breathed out a small laugh, reaching up and pulling on his cheek. "But you're real, now." She pulled again and again, waiting to agitate him into reacting back. "Back then, witches, or anyone magical, were so, so rare and uncommon. Most people hated them. Hated them so fiercely...." she finally let go of his face, glancing back in front of them. "....So fiercely, they killed most they found, because back then, most people with magic only had a weak magic, you know. But not all. Not I, or my Runa, or the ones who offered us in a ritual and killed us so that magic could come back to the world...and your kind, too. That's why...this is in me." she placed her hand over her chest.

It was the first time she had told anybody the truth of herself, her memories. It wasn't necessarily that she didnt' want to...but who would have believed her?

"You may be surprised to know how long I hated your kind...how I yearned for the majin to perish from this world, and even considered doing my part to assist in that fate, yet... it's hard to feel that way anymore, even if I have regrets and nightmares, but there is something I lost that I can never..." she bit her lower lip. She had never spoken of Runa to anyone, and found it difficult to do so now. "...never bring back, or replace, and that loss sometimes feels like...it outweighs all the good that exists now. I don't understand why she didn't wake up again like I did. And that...." she raised her face to him again, head tilted in an innocently thoughtful gesture. "....is my little secret. You may believe yourself to be a monster, and perhaps you are. But you will never wear the burden of being the one who helped cultivate many monsters through out time..Humans, I find, can be equally if not more cruel than majins, too." She smiled softly, and changed the subject.

For the moment, she just wanted to be with him, in close proximity of another person who knew the truth about her was strangely refreshing.

His lips quirked up in a slight smile as she accepted his arm. His hand patted the top of hers before he led them out of the alleyway they seemed to have been within. Remiel's eyes narrowed slightly as they swept along everyone hustling about. But the leering was absent from his gaze. Or mostly absent. He just directed it towards Miusa only. Though even that was half-hearted.

"Always win." He murmured, steering them around a group of giggling teenagers. His mismatched eyes barely paid them any mind as he directed his gaze down to hers, carefully veiled shock appearing in his eyes. He had never heard this before! And some part of him tightened at the thought. "Really...?" He asked quietly, falling more silent then he usually ever was. Just listening. It was strange to try and think on something like that. Something that happened so long ago. Even longer than before he was born into this world. And he was an old creature himself to begin with.

Then his cheek was being pulled. "Ow ow ow!" Remiel tried to whine, but it was difficult with his cheek pulled like so. "The dark times." He attempted to say, but it came out sounding funny. Until Miusa released his cheek. Remiel poked her in the side just to get back. But her words, they had the witch eater very quiet, a serious expression about his face. He was listening to her words very intently, mind storing it away somewhere he could remember it.

"There are those, of my kind, that aren't so terrible." Remiel said finally. "Just as their are humans more cruel then a majin that can't help his cravings. But you..." The witch eater reached over and curled his hand around hers, looking down at her with a soft yet hard expression. "You are not a monster. What do you think the world would be like if there were none like me? No majin." Remiel winked at her. "Don't worry, my white lily. I'll keep your secret."

He could very much understand her pain, though. The loss of his own parents so long ago, barely a flicker of a memory now. If he'd lost everything that time...including Sariel? Remiel shivered, unable to help the feeling. Yes, he understood it. Couldn't even begin to know how Miusa had managed as long as she had with that sort of pain.

They walked in silence, Remiel weaving them through the crowd and avoiding running into anyone. "It's a Sanctuary." He murmured. "For those of...my kind seeking escape." His mismatched eyes looked down at her. "A place they can come and feel the relief of no longer running from persecution." The blonde witch eater shrugged his shoulders. "That, is my little secret."
