Makayla and Tuari Tse are a young, jovial Lifemated pair whose love for each other knows no bounds. heart They were CCed by 'Neza after 31 tries, and have brought 3 lovely foals into this world:

Youngest child (owner to be decided through contest)
- - -
Lineage:
Makayla is the daughter of my first and cherished Soquili, Keahi, and her beloved lifemate Imperio.
Makayla: - Mother: Keahi * Grandmother: Aita * Grandfather: Daray - Father: Imperio
Tuari Tse has Flutter and Cerynei blood- and a history of male-patterned baldness. wink
Tuari Tse: - Mother: Tiahana - Father: Kohana Kwahu
- - -
Information:
The mother: Makayla Makayle is a rambunctious filly whose kind-hearted ways endear her to a wide variety of Soquili. She has all of her mother's sprightly enthusiasm, though has yet to become wise. She enjoys exploring new places with the ones she loves, but could not bear to be without them. For this reason, she will be a tender and adoring mother who would fret incessantly if her children ever got lost (or stolen.) When they have reached adulthood, she will understand when they wish to go out and explore the world for themselves- but will expect visits. heart She loves Tuari Tse with all the passion of her youth, and their love is one that will mature and deepen beautifully as they age.
The father: Tuari Tse Steadfast and kind, he is a Soquili of few words. When he does speak, it is in a quiet and soft tone. Makayla believes this is due to his flutter lineage, but it could be merely a side effect of his gentle soul. His red eyes take in everything; he observes and does not speak his mind, unless he is asked to share... He will support his children, whatever their lives may turn out to be like- but certain things would threaten his sense of honor and personal moral code, and thus destroy him inside. If anything wrong happened to his foals, he would blame himself for being unable to protect them.
The Grandmother: Keahi 'Curiousity killed the cat.' If Keahi was a cat, she would be long since dead. She has the fierce need to stick her nose into every situation, although she will not judge that situation as many 'curious' Soquili do; she simply studies it, taking in the information any situation provides. She has an entirely open mind, one that does not feel the need to place others into categories rather views each person in entirely their own light. She needs to know everything about everything, though not due to any want to further her own position rather her genuine interest about every subject imaginable. It would make sense for one such as her to be found in a library pouring over books at every hour of the day, but she possesses the same hyper streak as her sisters: her soul burns with a fire that refuses to be extinguished or even diminished, a fire which was translated into her constant motions as a foal. If she could not think, she had to move. She has to constantly have something on her mind, or she will begun to gallop about like a filly to use that extra energy. As she has aged, she has become better at controlling her never-failing energy, and is now capable of sitting still for many hours... provided, of course, that her mind is allowed to wander. Likes: Observing, Intelligence, Thoughtfulness, Water, Night, Day, everything that provides a new opportunity to learn Dislikes: Closed-mindedness (How could one expect to see all that the world has to offer if they do not look beyond their own opinions?) Stupidity (Only those who look to themselves for every answer can be truly called Stupid, for they take in no information that is presented to them and so cannot grow.) Tiffany, Consumers (These people destroy all that is in their path, leaving nothing left to provide clues to the greater puzzles of this universe. Everything that is living has something to offer, everything that has been created has something it was meant to do, and so removing those things causes an unbalance.) Keahi is happily Lifemated to Imperio, and spends her days with their family. She will be a wise and caring grandmother to the foals.

Yes, they are all kind/sweet/gentle... but there are spitfires in the family! Don't feel limited by the foals' parents' brief bios; let your creativity run free. heart

1. Please do not enter if you are only looking for "brood mares"/"studs" and have no intention of trying to develop these characters. I have no way of restricting you from entering, but please be honest with yourself and me about the time and effort you'd be willing to commit to these characters. The family line is very precious to me. 2. Please keep in touch! An occasional PM updating me on major plot-lines, love interests, and (co)-ownership changes would be most appreciated. 3. Remember that all Soquili shop rules must be followed in all affiliated contests, regardless of whether or not a person has explicitly stated "Follow the shop rules." :3
I understand how trying it is to find time to background plot and RP, but i'd really like to see some development as these foals mature into adulthood, and beyond. For this reason I have included the (optional) "plot" section of the contest form, to get your ideas flowing in the hopes that you'd find something you'd like to expand on later. (You are not, of course, limited to the plots you put in the form- that's just for me to get an idea of what you may be looking into later!) Many of the best plots happen by chance, and the most natural-seeming character development happens through RP, so please don't be alarmed by that note if you do not consider yourself the best plotter around- if you are a big RPer and prefer to let plots happen naturally rather than working things out in advance and trying to find characters that suit the roles, make a note of that in your form!
I will be (tentatively) available for family RP and plots.
- - -

For the purposes of this contest, a "Newbie" shall be considered an owner with less than 3 Soquili. - Full-owned Usdia (sub-breeds), Seathi, Mers, and full-sized breeds count as 1. - Co-owned Soquili count as 1 if you have RP rights, and do not count if you do not have RP rights or have relinquished RP rights to another owner BEFORE the start of this contest. (Please provide co-ownership links as proof. If not formal agreement has been made, please let me know if your co-owner is available to confirm your claims.) - Familiars do not count towards this tally.
One winner will be chosen from the Newbie category.
If you are a Newbie as defined above, please add the following tagline and information to your contest entry:Newbie Entrant Soquili Owned: (Tally) Proof of co-ownership rights: (as needed)
This contest is open for all users, regardless of how many Soquili they own.
One winner will be chosen from the Open-to-All category.

The youngest child, last-born
You may enter for either or both baskets, but use a separate form for each entry.

The Prompts:
1. Free-for-all. Chose a topic and off you go! 2. You're growing up in a kind, loving family. As a foal, you witness another family in turmoil: father arguing with mother, children behaving like tyrants and trying to out-yell their parents' cries. How do you react? Do you watch, stunned, unable to comprehend what you are seeing? Do you try to intervene? Do you go back to your parents and ask for an explanation? How might this shape your future, and your understanding of the world? 3. Daddy doesn't talk much, but Mommy talks a lot. Why do you think that is? Do you think it's strange, or do you just accept that that is how your father is? Do you take after him, or are you prone to babbling? Show how you may interact in a variety of social settings, given your choice (or the inherent traits that make you how you are.)

Basket Choice: Youngest (last-born) Certing Information: Name: Both names mean 'Fire' - If Female: Aithne - If Male: Aodh Temper: - If Female: Driven - If Male: Fated Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Male Personality Description: Aodh is very much like his name... a ball of fire, well not literally but his personality does shine bright; by this I mean that when he gets an idea in his head nothing will stop him... his passion burns bright. He is a rather happy creature, who enjoys life to the full (or at least what he experienced so far). As far as Aodh is concerned what he knows is the 'norm', so when he see's things different he is often taken aback by them until he adjusts. While not overly chatty he is not super quiet like his father either. Despite being the youngest he feels rather protective of his siblings and family, and although he doesn't express this the way most usually expect it still flickers as brightly as any flame in his heart. Due to his grandmother's flutterblood Aodh is smaller than most other adults; which often leads others to see him as the 'runt' of the litter.... however this doesn't bother Aodh since he has found that being small can have its advantages. Aodh is an intelligent creature, and uses his smarts to his advantage. I wouldn't say he brags about being smart but it is often very clear that he is smarter than most by what he says and does. Though since his mother's kind nature has rubbed off on him he often uses his intelligence to aid others. He is a sucker for a damsel in distress. RP Entry: Prompt 2. Aodh blinked, he could hear raised voices and shouting not far from him.... but he didn't recognise any of the voices. Curiosity had him moving, his little legs wobbling ever so slightly as he went off to explore. What he found however had him standing in shock. Several soquili all standing together screaming at each other. His ears flattened automatically in an effort to protect his sensitive hearing from the never ending onslaught. Why would they shout like that? They seemed to be related, coats of similar origins like him and his siblings.... yet the treated each other as if a hidden skinwalker lay within their ranks. It prickled his senses, and his young untrained features couldn't help the frown and the wrinkled nose that followed. He tentatively stepped forward, only to stop. What was he planning on doing? He was much smaller than any engaged in the shouting match.... yet... even as he watched he knew he couldn't simply walk away. Perhaps...! An idea struck as he quickly wandered towards a near by bush full of pollen filled flowers. Knowing all to well what effect they had on him he rubbed his face within them... instantly he started to cry. He didn't know why but the stuff had always irritated his eyes... no slower smelling for him. Heading back to the group, tears filling and rolling as heavy lumps from his eyes and his heart fluttering as quickly as his grandmothers wings he put his plan into action. "Can you help me?" More fat tears rolled, but this affect would only last for so long, he needed to move quickly. "I can't find my Mummy." He added a staged whimper and hoped it sounded real to their ears. Slowly the last of the angered voices dropped and four sets of eyes set upon him. Fear rippled for a moment as he foresaw his plan backfiring... at least until their features softened. That told Aodh one thing, they were capable of love. Perhaps all was not lost. Shaking his little tail he stood tall as he spoke, no longer the teary child despite the tears that continued to roll from his eyes. "You shouldn't fight. It's not good. My Mama always said...." He put on his best imitation accent; "If you don't have something nice to say.... don't speak at all." He nodded as the words rolled from his lips, and before they could get angry at him for interfering he turned and ran as fast as his little legs could carry him... back towards the warmth of his mothers embrace, the kind glow of his fathers eyes, the gentle teasing of his older siblings... away from the anger. Yet as Aodh ran his mind whirled.... where there lots of families like that? Fighting and arguing all the time? Showing anger and hatred when they should be showing love? He didn't like it, it ruffled his pelt the wrong way.... but what could he do? Was there anything that could be done? Maybe these families just needed someone to listen to them? To help fix and resolve their issues so they could love and cherish each other again? One final question entered his mind just as he ran to his mother's side. Could I be the one to do it? Future Plots: Foal:: Aodh starts to show how intelligent he really is, and this causes a few other foals to dislike him... at least all but one. I would like him to either meet a foal who isn't that smart or who simply accepts him how he is to become his best friend. Perhaps they could one day go on an adventure... or he helps them with an issue of their own... or something! The rest would all depend on the RP and the foal in question. I think it would be cute for the siblings to hear a 'story' about a pirate soquili and how they left clues to their treasure... maybe they one day find a mark drawn into a tree and their eyes sparkle with interest; this could start them on a little adventure. What they find could be one of three things. A really pretty secret spot that becomes their den. A skinwalker/kalona that they need saving from (I hear 'hero daddy' music with this). Or they find something they consider to be a treasure.Aodh becomes obsessed with rocks.... well, the different types, shapes and sparkly bits within them... and so starts a rock collection. Maybe he gets so many though that his mother has to try and talk him into 'leaving' his treasures where he finds them so others can enjoy them.Aodh will come across a disfunctional family. (Mostly because the prompt caused all sorts of wonderful muse juices to flow).Got loads more ideas but don't want to bore you too much. =D Adult::I believe that Aodh would set himself upon a mission to try and help and listen to families issues in an effort to 'fix' them. (A counsellor if you will). This path will likely lead him into trouble A LOT so I think he may have to befriend a unicorn to help heal him when he gets into trouble (if his child hood friend is a uni and wants to travel with him that would be cool too).Since Aodh has grown a slight obsession with loving families I think it would be really funny to see what he would do should he find a basket/foal abandoned. It would matter what breed it is to Aodh (SW included) but I can't see him just leaving it to fend for himself.... lots of funny plots and ideas could come from this, but it would be dependant on other owner. All the wonders of the world. Since Aodh is intelligent I believe he would seek out anything that would increase his experience and knowledge... one sweet idea is a 'quest' to see all the wonders of the world.Family day. Although he travels a lot I believe Aodh will ALWAYS come home to spend time with his family, especially since they mean so much to him. He would likely bring them treats and delicacies from his travels.Again... so many ideas but don't want to bore you too much. Elder::I never set out from the start to go for Elderhood. However if Aodh presents the qualities in his RPs and gets some really interesting plots I would not be against trying for the status for him. I imagine if he did take that path that he would be a kind and caring elder who gains the status based on his ability to aid broken families become whole once more. He would not be a warrior/fighter elder. I am currently on a quest to max out all my soquili.

Newbie Entrant Soquili Owned: 1 [fullown 1, co-own 1 but no RP rights] Proof of co-ownership rights: AgreementBasket Choice: oldest Certing Information: Name: [both mean 'Scourge' in different languages] - If Female: Muchi - If Male: Rabad Temper:- If Female: Cold-hearted - If Male: Confident Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Male Personality Description: Rabad is one of those one of a kind foals. He's charming and friendly, but can become much like a fearsome monster once you get on his nerves. He absolutely cares for his family and loves being around his grandmother where he can learn more about the world of the Soquili. Since Keahi does need to know everything, she's the one that he'd always go to in times of doubt even when he's an adult. RP Entry: Prompt Two The black foal was just barely learning to stand on his own four legs until he heard the whinnies of another family of Soquili with foals about his own age. Wow! he thought stunned wondering who they were. They were elegant pure whites, and so were their two foals. They all looked the same, but Rabad was able to tell them apart in an instant.
Carelessly leaving the side of his mother, Makayla , the bold foal lumbered towards the strangers. The younger one of the twins spotted him first and sooner or later, the two became close friends. Her name? It was Prim. Every afternoon while they were living in the same fields, the two would play with one another. Rabad would always let Prim win in most of their races.
One day though, Rabad went to his daily play area to find Prim not there. Wondering why she wasn't there, he found her being struck at by her father. What was he thinking?! he thought angrily. On the other side, he caught Prim's mother shrilling at her older daughter as if she had gone mad. Trembling, Rabad watched in silence until he couldn't take it anymore. Prim looked like as if she was about to take her last breath.
"STOP!" he shrilled racing down the hills to the father. "Stop right now!' He commanded.
The snowy white father turned around to release his daughter to face the foal. "This is none of your business, kid." he sneered dragging his daughter once again.
Rabad couldn't take it anymore. In the background, he heard the whinny of his father, the thundering hooves of his mother. They were here to save him. He saw his father strike the snowy one once and heard his father. "You don't deserve to be a father!" he remarked. "A family's to care for one another, not torment each other! But I'm not to tell you how to run your family. Take your mate and foals and leave mine's here in peace."
Stunned, the snowy white stallion walked away from the small group of Soquili and his mate curiously followed, unsure of what to do with her eldest daughter tagging along. On the ground was a large pool of blood. Prim's. Shocked, Rabad cautiously approached his friend, nuzzling his muzzle onto her mane, trying to uncover her eye. Horrified, he saw that it had been crushed off.
"Oh Rabad, it's you!' she whispered faintly. "Is, is everything alright now?" she asked trying to get up but couldn't, struggling. Slowly, she closed her eyes and her breathing stopped.
Not knowing what to do, he silently nodded. "Yes Prim. Everything's safe now." Makayla gently cleaned off the foal's snow white coat. Rabad knew that his one true friend was now dead.Future Plots: Foal: Trying to get to know what's what. Rabad is a rather curious foal, always wanting to know more and more about the world. Keahi will have to play a large role in this.. Father? Mother? Rabad is questioning the meaning of life after seeing the death of Prim (see RP entry). He wants to know what happens after death is is very curious about if he will ever meet his friend ever again. Makayla and Tuari Tse will play a large role in this.. Getting to Know Siblings. Rabad's all fun and games with his siblings, trying to pretend that they are Prim, but then realizes that no other Soquili will ever be like the snowy white one he used to know. Rabad's siblings will play a large role in this..
Young Adult: I Want to See the World, Mother. Rabad decides that it is the time for him to leave the family for he is the eldest of her foals, after all. Makayla will refuse and he is then sent to live with one of his close family members. Makayla will play a large role in this.. She's Like You! After spending time with one of his family members, he decides that the time is right to return to his homeland to his direct family. Here, he meets a loner [preferably stallion] and befriends [let's go with him] him, becoming close to one another for he resembles Prim, but is not just like her. A friendly, energetic Soquili arund his age will have a large role in this.. Homeland. Rabad and his friend head off to Rabad's homeland to have a talk about his absence with Kaeha. Kaeha and the Soquili from above will have a large role in this..
Adult: Can It Be True? Rabad finds the father of Prim with the aid of his friend of course. Here, he reminds the snowy stallion about his daughter and says that he is forgiven. A Familiar? Aww..., Rabad gets a familiar :3
Elder: We'll get to that in the meer future... will only get Rabad to an elder if the other two siblings becomes an elder too.

Newbie Entrant Soquili Owned: 1 [co-owned] Proof of co-ownership rights: [x]Basket Choice: Oldest Certing Information: Name: Both go by the word 'Fire' but are in the Celtic language - If Female: Aine - If Male: Aidan Temper: One-word temper. (can be gender-neutral or gender differentiated) - If Female: Friendly - If Male: Romantic Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Male Personality Description: He knows when to be like a good speaker and always has something to say. When his siblings got in trouble he would take the blame by speaking up and claiming the bad deed and taking the punishment. He always kept them out of harm and tries to be a good brother. RP Entry: 2 Hearing a fight go on in a distance, he decided to investigate it. As he traveled, he bumped into a filly named Esperanza (filly of the family in turmoil) who was the daughter of the family arguing. Deciding to help her calm them, the walked up a slabbed rock and saw the parents fighting. When he watched the filly go down to calm them he was shocked as he saw the kids going crazy and the parents fighting and his mind burned like flames of a fire with an idea. Walking to them, he screamed loudly which got their attention. "Why in the world are you all doing this? Your a family and your fighting each other. I may not know you all but your setting examples of a bad family. You both, (the parents) as you argue your kids are fighting which will make them grow up as a bad cause because your setting a bad example. You have to not yell and tend to your children. If something is wrong, calmly talk about it after your young ones are playing during the day or asleep like true angels at night. Just be good examples which a lot of others would praise you about. So please, become a good family." Aidan said. Knowing his words was like a speech, Esperanza thanked him and they became friends and he went home for the night, thinking of her and kind of blushing. A question suddenly came to his mind when he continued thinking of her: Is this love? Future Plots: ~:Foal:~~ He would start playing with his siblings and would try to make adventures to be with them. If something scared them he would use his words and they would calm down but he would always try to get his parents to play also so they can be like a true family. ~:Young Adult:~~When it is time to think about the mares, he would suddenly think of Esperanza (the plot filly) and never did stop and would wonder if they would ever meet but then would continue with life and still act like a colt sometimes. ~:Adult:~~Finally ready to find a lover and have his own family, he would say goodbye to his family and go out to either find random love or a mare of his own species to forever be mated with. He would then promise them that one day, when he returns, he would bring his children with him to be raised in the arts of the family. ~:ElderHood:~~Knowing the time of being old was here, his kids were ready to leave and say goodbye. As he watches then leave, he would nuzzle his mate and then return to the family to share stories of their travels, experiences, and what the kids were like grown up till they find them returning with their own kids.

Aaaaaaah, such pretty baskets ;v; I never have any luck with these sort of story telling prompts no matter how much I write either.
Though I'd love to try out for them as my first Soq, I think I'll have to pass... I just can't seem to think of any sort of good plots I'd like for them to have in the future. Good luck to everyone entering though!! Maybe I'll grow some courage and enter closer to the ending date.
EDIT :: I figured I'd give it a shot
Newbie Entrant Soquili Owned: 0 Proof of co-ownership rights: N/A
Basket Choice: Youngest
Certing Information: Name: (name thought of from the dark 'scorch' like marking on the basket) - If Female: Scorches - If Male: Scorches
Temper: - If Female: Eager - If Male: Eager
Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Both
Personality Description: Scorches is a rather nosy and eager who likes to wander off away from the parentals to explore the area around them; this sort of trait seems to fall back on the grandmother most likely, but it's not like it's completely a bad thing. Though it probably does raise some trouble from time to time, and it makes Mama Makayla worry so. Eager to learn about all sorts of oddities, travel to new places, and getting all riled up over the littlest of things (in a good way most of the time), Scorches has a lot of energy to burn. The thing is that this worrisome wanderlust and curiosity never seems to die off even for a day or 2, as Scorches is just constantly in motion and prancing about. Even before bed time at night, Scorches is rolling around on the ground and being a rather wiggly thing. It must get annoying to some from time to time.
RP Entry: Prompt 2
As usual, Scorches decided (or unknowingly decided) that wandering away from Mama and Dad was a great idea to do for their morning exercise. The young family were in an area that had other families nearby camping out as well, and of course Scorches would need to have an eye kept on them; but it was still rather early in the morning, and no one was expecting the young 'energizer bunny' to be up and at'em already! Soon enough, there was a rather peculiar sort of noise not too far away that had caught Scorches ears, and as curiosity took over, the young foal pranced towards the commotion. Around the corner of a rather large rock was another family of horses, but it seemed to be in some sort of chaos. The father was arguing with the Mother about the crazy, and very excitable young foals who were apparently making a little too much noise for comfort. "How do you expect me to get any sort of rest with these brats hopping over and onto me!? I can't stand this sort of behavior from them anymore!" the large male gruffed into the face of the mother, who retorted back, though not as loudly. She didn't seem too upset, but she did look tired... "You know they're easily excitable foals dear. They just need to tire themselves out is a--" "Tire themselves out?! They've had ages to do that! Do they look tired at all to you!??" Looking to the pile of foals who were running about, nipping each others tails and ears, and shouting horrendously in a fit of noise that they believed was fun to them. Heck, Scorches thought it looked fun as well! Trotting over to the pile they shoved on in as well. The other family didn't even seem to notice the oddball foal at first, and the other young ones continued to play with each other, and Scorches, as if nothing were wrong at all. This was a lot of fun, all this noise and excitement really had them going!! ...Until Scorches got a bit of a hard n** on the rear. A yelp cried out, but it was unheard by anyone with the shouting of the Dad, the Mother trying to speak over the children, and the foals being rowdy. Scorches wasn't used to pain, nor did they ever need to deal with it before! Frightened by the sudden array, Scorches quickly weaseled out of the dog pile of ponies and galloped away back to where their own family still lay asleep. Scorches nuzzled up under Makayla's muzzle with a bit of a sniffle. When mom woke up, she could clearly see something was wrong with the foal and asked, as it was appropriate to figure out what was going on. "There was others being really loud, and it looked like a lot of fun... s-so I played with them too. But then they bit me on the butt and it... it hurt!! That wasn't fun at all" Scorches replied, tucking their legs in closer to their body and looking back to their bitten rear. Makayla asked a few more questions seeming very concerned about her child being 'injured', and Scorches tried their best to explain what they heard and saw. Obviously confused now... it couldn't be happy shouts if it ended up with a bit of pain. Understanding now, Mother explained to the foal that it was fighting, and fighting was not something this family liked to do at all. The usually eager and bouncy foal seemed a little down now... if it hurt, then why would others do it? It was puzzling, and Sorches wanted to know more, but they were a bit afraid to find out about it. Considering that maybe it was too early for all this excitement, Makayla urged Scorches to go back to sleep for a bit. Cuddling up closer to the protective parent, the young foal closed their big, curious eyes and settled down to rest. They'd find out more in the future, hopefully.
Future Plots: - Foal: • Very bouncy and active (ADHD maybe?) Scorches is constantly wandering away from mama and dad to go look around and find things. Maybe Scorches starts to drag back odd or interesting things to show the family; some things less undesired than others • It'd be nice if Scorches could bump into a few other Soq's (any age) to interact and chat with them. Scorches has their grandma's curiosity, but their mother's chattiness, so they might be able to learn a lot of new things • Scorches just never seems to learn right from wrong and continues to get into all sorts of little troubles. A small event that scares the foal into really trying to learn what is good from bad might help develop them into a stronger, less naive young adult in the future
- Young Adult: • Still very excitable at this age. I'd like for Scorches to meet someone who will maybe teach them to tone down their eagerness a bit. It probably does get annoying to some, and maybe even to the point where others (who might be easily angered) lash out at them verbally or physically • It'd be interesting if the situation above (annoyed to the point where another lashed out verbally or physically) took place as well. Since Scorches was raised in a very loving, friendly family but has seen fights from afar, I think I'd like to test how they would react to this confrontation • I don't think Scorches will have much interest in the gender opposite of them at this time in their life, and consider a lot of them as 'just friends.' they still seem to be very childish even at this age. All that young youth has yet to burn out it seems • Scorches would be very eager at this age to leave their families side and go out on their own to explore further. Mom and Dad are somewhat keeping them back they feel, and though Makayla would be understanding she might worry a bit much considering the history with their child and the trouble they get into (also the fact that they're the youngest). A RP with the parentals talking about this sort of event taking place would be something to set Scorches off into adulthood
- Adult: • Hopefully as a adult Scorches has calmed down a lot and is more bearable to deal with. Again, it'd be nice to have another Soq who can help them achieve this • Not very smooth with the opposite sex, I'd think that despite being bubbly and chatty Scorches have a bit of trouble in finding someone who would be interested in them, or even find them bearable with how much they talk and roam about • Eventually though I'd like Scorches to find someone to settle down with. Coming from a friendly family, Scorches holds that dear to them deep down even though they never really talk about it, and would like to share the same thing with someone willing to spend their life with them • It'd be a pretty heartbreaking idea, but it'd be different if instead of finding a solid mate, someone uses Scorches as a 'fling' and just breaks the poor Soq's heart to bits; Scorches would still like to be involved with the family/parent though. It'd be interesting to see how they recover from such a blow. Though they would probably return to their usual eager self, they'd keep in mind that their naivety mislead them to believe that most families could be happy and love each other forever.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
Please note that the second prompt refers to a family OUTSIDE of this one! It is not the foals' parents and siblings (Makayle, Tuari Tse, and the 3 baskets,) rather those of another family. I apologize if the prompt was poorly-worded which lead to confusion. I will not penalize anyone for responding to their interpretation of the prompts when judging (and/or choosing not to go back and edit their responses to reflect the clarification,) but please note that any character decisions made based on this being the "dis-functional family" will not be canon (entrants may still keep their ideas, but should their entry be chosen among the winners they would need to find a different justification for their character's ways.)
There have been many wonderful entries thus far, and I look forward to those to come; Thank you! ^___^ heart

@Huro:: I had 'tweeked' my entry to include a plot where Aodh (or Aithne) will come into contact with a disfunctional family.... since that prompt really got my muse juices flowing. I hadn't assumed that the prompt would be canon (unless it was a background plot that was never RPed) but I would actually like to find a amily to RP that out should I be lucky enough to be gifted a basket..... anyways just thought I would I would let you know I have tweeked my form to include it.

Newbie Entrant Soquili Owned: 2 (Co-Own both) Proof of co-ownership rights: Pyralis (Very bottom of the page) Annika (Third to last post)Basket Choice: Youngest Certing Information: Name: - If Female: Tallihaze - If Male: Tallihaze Temper: One-word temper. - If Female: Curious - If Male: Curious Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Female (Even though every thing is the same, down to the personality XD) Personality Description: Tallihaze is very quiet and reserved, she's not one to get worked up or excited about things to easily. She supposes that this makes her more like her dad than her mother but because she loves them both so much it doesn't mean anything to her. She is very curious about the world, and while she knows that asking questions is a way to get answers, she prefers to sit back and watch how the world works. That being said she loved to explore the areas around her and she doesn't like to be told she can't. This filly doesn't have a mean bone in her body and would rather speak quiet words than start a fight. RP Entry: Prompt 1 It was a lovely morning, the sun was slowly coming up over the trees and spreading light across the land. As the chill of night started to recede, the young filly lifted her head and shook it, trying to shake the sleep from her body as she slowly stood and turned to look at where the sun was coming up. "Pretty." She stated softly before turning her attention to the sleeping forms of her parents and older siblings. They wouldn't be up for a while yet and that gave her time to go out into the forest a bit and see what she could discover. As quietly as she could manage she lifted each leg carefully and crept her way across the dew covered grass. Every now and then she stopped to look back, making sure everyone was still asleep before continuing on her way. After what felt like forever she was finally able to walk normally, and the forest was mere inches away from her. Tallihaze paused at the junction where field met forest and twitched her ears forward. The forest was always full of such wonders, it always amazed her with new creatures and plants. After a moment of staring and listening, making sure that no one else was around she continued forward. She had barely placed a hoof upon the soft, foliage covered dirt when she heard the voice of her mother calling. A soft sigh escaped the young filly as she gazed longing ahead for a moment before turning herself around and heading back to where she had left her family. One of these days she would be able to explore, her mother always told her to wait until she was older and of course Talli was more than willing to wait. Some days though she wished that she would grow a little faster, that way her mother wouldn't have to worry nearly as much. She reached her mother's side in record time and nuzzled against her before looking back at the forest and flicking her ears forward. One day she would answer the call that the forest seemed to be sending her, she just couldn't wait. Future Plots:Foal:As a foal I'd like for her to stay close to her family but sneak away every now and again to explore some new field of forest. I'd like for her to meet other youngsters on these short exploration trips and hopefully make some friends. Young Adult/Adult:For these stages I'd like her to get a little further from her family as she strikes out to continue on her exploration trips. I'd like for her to come across one of her friends from her youth again and hopefully work a little romance into her life. She wouldn't be ready to settle down right away but it would eventually happen and she'd once again return home.

Basket Choice: eldest thank you, but all are gorgeous!
Certing Information: Name: - If Female: Chieko "wise child" - If Male: Hideaki "shining excellence; splendid brightness." Temper: One-word temper. (can be gender-neutral or gender differentiated) For either gender it would be Courageous (sounds better then just Bold lol) Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Ill portray a girl- Chieko
Personality Description: (works for both genders) Kind hearted and playful through and through(especially as a foal). She loves making new friends and has a good imagination for adventures. She has a kind soul, but even when she was young she has had a sense of justice and will not stand for another being picked on. Even if an adult was being bossed about seemingly unjustly she would do her best to get the aggressor to stop. She loves all life, but especially orange lily's, they are her favorite and she loves going on 'adventures' to find them as they are the grandest prize. She is also protective of her siblings, especially being the oldest, but at times you wouldn't guess it as she can be a tad reckless with her adventures. xD
RP Entry: 2. Chieko had been playing with her siblings again trying to get them to go on another adventure, but they grew tired of it. "Party poopers", she said to them as they headed back to the family. Chieko wasn't done though, she wanted to survey the area and see what was to be seen. She yearned for a new adventure!
It didn't take her long to hear shouting was it? And there was a lot of it too, at first she thought to go back and get her mom and dad to help. It was then though she noticed the foals shouting and trying to get their parents attention and just running amok. There was no time to go back to get her parents, so she dashed forward towards the family stopping a few feet away from them all.
None seemed to notice her so she could think of nothing else but scream at the top of her lunges. "HEY, STOP YELLING WILL YA!!", her loud voice got their attention and they stopped and looked just gobsmacked at the young foal. Before any of them could ask any questions she spoke again. "What's wrong with you, why are you all yelling at each other? Aren't you a family, don't you love each other. If I saw my family like this it would break my heart. There are other means of communicating and voicing your problems and opinions!!", her eyes got teary as she spoke with a great passion.
One of the foals then came to Chieko's side and gave a light nuzzle and told her she was right and voiced that maybe the family did need some help with communicating skills. Chieko nodded her head and held her head tall. "If your willing to try I can help, my daddy doesn't say much unless something needs to be said, but I know we can all be friends and help each other and maybe share an adventure or two. They all smiled and nodded and Chieko led them to her family. Though she was slightly scolded for running off her mother knew she had tried to do a good thing and welcomed their new friends.
Future Plots: As a foal I would like for a situation to arise where she can save both an adult and a foal from being bullied and as she grows I would love to see her save a handsome stallion by using her wits, but then Id love to see her at one point become a damsel in distress lol (Im not good at thinking up plots without developing a character so forgive me, though the basic ideas above can be flipped flopped depending on gender) Thanks for this opportunity, hopefully it will help me get back into soquili more <3

Basket Choice: The Eldest basket please.
Certing Information: Name: Cinis Cinis is Cinder in Latin. (I will be using this name for the prompts) Or Smoke Note: Both are gender neutral names I just want to see the foal before I decide for sure. Temper: Warm
Contest Entry: Gender chosen for Contest Entry: Male.
Personality Description: As with most in his family tree cinis has embodied some form or aspect of fire for his personality. Particularly he ensnared what can only be described as "the movement" or "the draw" of the flame for his personality. Visually soft to the touch and senses he draws you in and makes you want to be near him. A large heart and kind eyes that hold an Offering of unspoken warmth, security, and even a certain brightness that lends safety to any situation. A few extra points ~He's not a fighter or confrontational by even the loosest standard. He would rather be your friend than your enemy and can find the good in just about anyone. ~thanks to his fathers blood he loves nature and is most at home in the deep forest. He particularly enjoys his past time of what he calls "helping nature". He wanders around sections of forest burned by fire and spreads moist seeds to regenerate the life in those places. ~loves rare plants and attempting to spread them.
RP Entry: The First option I like to make my own path. In this instance it's a small sample of a situation of him as an adult. This is about how long my posts for him will actually be sometimes a little longer depending on the rp.
Slowly smoke unfurled itself in elegantly spiraling tendrils from still smoldering patches of earth. Offering Cinis the perfect cover for his duties. With darting golden eyes to keep watch and pointed hooves to dig he began to paw at the soil to mix the good soil and enriching ashes together. The fire that had blazed through this area only a few days before had burned so hot that the old growth trees had burned down to the roots and then some. This after more than ample scouting around was perfect place to help nature regenerate itself. The Soil now completely mixed about he over turned the pouch about his neck and sprinkled about a mixture of seeds native to the area sure to thrive. Just in time to as just then the first few droplets of rain sprinkled down upon his back. "see you soon." he whispered and darted off.
Future Plots: Like most of my soquilli I would like him (or her of course) to have a sense of direction and purpose. Elder is something that may or may not happen depending on how his char speaks to me over time. Also I'm not going to demand a ton of family rp but I would like one at least maybe two if anyone of the bloodline can make the time. Anyway
-one I would like an rp or two about him learning about the benefits of fire to the forest. How through fire and the death of old growth newer growth and a healthier forest will spring up. -Two I would try for an item slot to be his seed satchel and I would like a rp about how he reached the point of obtaining one. -three Finding his familliar. -Four he starts to gather a fallowing of others who wish to help him regenerate forests. This would be tons of RPS. -Five one where he gets caught in a forest fire and ends up badly hurt. Perhaps he seeks refuge with a herd for a bit. Thank you for the chance smile they are all gorgeous!
