Foxfire Dance's hooves all but glided with practiced ease over sodden earth and around twisted roots and muddy pitfalls. She drifted toward the more populated and hospitable areas of the swamp around festival times, but for the most part she tread around the edge of the places where other Kin normally went. This was her home. She paused in her travel, letting free a harsh sounding bugle into the dim light of murky gray dawn. It was as close as she came to the screeching cries of the owlcats she'd grown up with, and it was her Brother she was seeking now. He'd come home when he was good and ready, she knew... but she couldn't help a bit of worry. He'd been gone for four cycles of the sun already, and normally he was back within a day or two when he went on his longer forays. Foxfire Dance was no longer comfortable with waiting silently for his return.
She waited a moment and recieved no answer and so proceeded onward. She would try near one of his other old haunts, and then another, and hopefully she would find him before this fifth day was gone.
