 Winter was over. It was finally starting to warm up, and the flowers were in bloom. Ning wandered towards the bank of the river to stretch and maybe find some berries or something. She hadn't counted on how marshy and wet the mud would be near the water, and found herself struggling with each step to get her paws out of the goop. She would retreat to higher ground. If she weren't stuck. A faint squeak escaped her as her tails flicked about over the mud, and she tried to get her paws free.

 Sent was tottering along the river bank, when he spotted someone stuck in the mud. He made his way towards her, his large wings folded against his back, and his long braid thrown over one shoulder. "You appear uncomfortable. Is this true?" he asked. His voice was melodic and almost, otherworldy, and he carried himself in such a way, he left no impression upon the earth.

"Hmmm?" Ning looked up at the stranger who appeared. She blinked at him. How could he not be stu- oh wait, those were wings. Her tail twitched in irritation, flinging droplets of mud around her. "I wouldn't call it uncomfortable per say. Irritating, frustrating, and squishy? Completely. Hey! You can fly. You're strong right? Think you can pull me out?" Her ears swiveled with hope and she stared at him.

The angelic tilted his head to the side, as he observed her situation, and then gave a nod. "Irritating, frustrating and squishy...fascinating" He looked down and dunked a toe into the mud, to see for himself what it was like. His ears swiveled and his head tilted to the other side "Remarkable..." he mumbled under his breath. At her question, he finally returned his attention to her and her situation "Pull you out? I do believe i am equiped to do that." he said with a soft nod again "Would you like me to try?"

Equipped? Ning's ears flattened back. She didn't understand what he was talking about, but nodded eagerly all the same. "YEAH! Please?" She bat her lashes, trying to seem innocent and pleading, but she blinked a little to quickly though, making her seem like she flicked mud in her eyes. "Pretty please?" She might have raised her paws to try and grasp at him, could she reach up at all.

The angelic male gave another nod, and lifted up easily, hovering over the stuck female. He curled his paws around her and pulled her out of the mud, taking her a few feet away from the riverbank, he placed her carefully upon solid ground and then landed beside her. "Is this a better location for your comfort?" he asked tilting his head to the side. Some of the mud that had flicked or transfered onto him, slid right off his ebony fur, and he watched it collect around him

There was a sucking sound and a pop as she was pulled free of the mud. She was patient as she was set down, but the fur on her belly and legs were caked with mud. It was a reflex to try and shake it out. Mud flew everywhere as she attempted to get the larger patches of mud off. Then she sat and stared at the boy who rescued her. Her features brightened instantly, and she squeaked, in a rather hammy voice "MY HERO!"

The angelic male was still focused on the mud that had pooled around him, when she declared rather loudly that he was her 'hero'. At this, he looked up at her and tilted his head to the side "Hero? That statement seems incorrect, being a hero implies i have in some way removed you from a perilous situation. You were merely lodged in some heavily watered dirt. Hardly a life threatening situation" He said as he looked back down and lifted a large furry paw and watched the mud slide right off "Fascinating..." he murmured under his breath.
