Orion washed at the river that fed into the lake, he didn't like returning to Eden covered in dirt and fungus and the rest after wandering through the forest. As always his blindfold was in place and the panels of his wings were folded one on top of the other. Clean once more he leaned down and picked up the little 'basket' that Eden had designed for him, today it was filled mostly with sweet apples since it was the season... though he had managed to find two ripe pears also. A treat, he rather enjoyed pears, and it seemed that lately Eden was enjoying the sweeter fruits also.

He made his way home, his ears flicking every now and then at the noises of the forest and the herd, he had grown accustom to them now, but every now and then he overheard things he really wished he hadn't... like Renesme, Eden's mother talking with her mother Alice, about him... he still hadn't told Eden what he had heard, not because it was 'bad' but because he was rather embarassed by it. He returned to the little spot that he and Eden had taken over for their own. It was secluded but safe, and even provided enough room for Eden to have a little place to tinker with her mouse friend. His hummingbird sang from his mane causing him to look down at the sweet little thing, every time he did he was reminded of Eden... in fact, everything reminded him of Eden. The colour of the grass and trees, the way the flowers bloomed, the traps and warning devices that were hidden in the forest.... it was all Eden, and yet it could never compare to her. He was really happy with how things were, really happy to have found her; and Orion knew he would give her everything she asked for and more.

Placing his precious load to the ground he looked around for Eden, he could hear her but not see her, and for a moment he wondered if she was napping again. He had noticed she seemed to be doing that more lately. "I'm back." He called softly, not wanting to disturb her should she be asleep.

Eden had been napping, but she had woken and found Orion gone and the basket she had made him missing too. So rather than hurry about her business again she had closed her eyes and seemingly fallen back asleep. Though now she roused herself more and stood up, mentally telling herself off, she had never been the kind of girl to sleep all the time, she was actually thinking about visiting the healer if she didn't snap out of this soon. Not that she had heard of a sickness that made you sleep, but then there were many thigns she didn't know yet.

Yawning as she wandered over to Orion and nuzzling close with a sigh, having also felt more clingy and emotional lately too. "I missed you." She could easily find herself missing Orion, but not usually over so short a seperation, at least not so much that she felt like crying. She had never been apart from him long enough to cry about it, she wasn't an emotional girl.

Orion looked at Eden's reaction, he was sure there were almost tears in her eyes... he didn't like that, didn't like that he had likely caused them. He moved in and held her, kissing her neck softly as he spoke, "I'm sorry. I should have told you I was going...." He kissed her again, and then in the hopes of cheering her up, or at least distracting her from whatever was nearly making her cry he found himself adding, "I found you some pears... and some sweet apples." Moving away a little so he could nudge the basket closer with his nose he smiled softly at her. He liked the idea of providing for her, of being able to do at least a little, to have some small impact upon her day.... he also knew that he wanted to wipe those tears away, banish them to a realm where they could never resurface again. Still he was worried, Orion was forced to admit he had noticed small difference in her... was something wrong? Was she sick? Should he perhaps summon one of the healers? Chandra perhaps? Or was that too much, too over the top? He knew Eden didn't like making too much of a fuss... but for her... well, he was more than willing to go against his instincts if it meant helping her.

Eden smiled for him, her eyes still shiny but she didn't let him get away, still nuzzling close, seeming more content like that. " I see, they smell tasty, just what I was wanting.... though I didn't know that till I smelt them. Thank you Orion, your wonderful for getting me a treat" The small part of her mind that was still her normal self could just imagine her brother Crown seeing her like this and hearing her saying things like that he would probably fall over and laugh himself sick. It didn't make them less true, she would jsut have said them in a different way, and not the love sick dreamy way she was now. But as it stood she didn't care, but she also still felt tired and lathargic, lifting her head to blink at Orion, not totally sure she hadn't fallen asleep for a second there. Worry coming into her eyes as she looked at him... What was wrong with her???

Orion looked down at her in concern, not because of her words but because she felt almost heavy pressed against him... as if she couldn't quite support herself. Panic had his heart fluttering in his chest, and as his concern built up he found himself opening the panels of his wings and using one of the claws to remove his blindfold. Silver eyes looked down at her. "What's wrong Eden? Talk to me." Orion wanted to help... but what was he meant to help her from? Fear flooded his eyes, and even as he refolded his wings he knew he had to do something. "Sit down with me.... nice and slowly." And with his words he slowly started to bend at his own knees, hopeing to guide Eden to the ground, at least from there there would be no where for her to fall should something happen.

Eden sank to the ground with him, feelign bad, it seemed she had paniced him now, shaking her head. "I don't know whats wrong, I'm just so tired lately and... when you got back I wanted to cry I'd missed you so much... but I don't cry usually, not over something so small, you were only gone a short while..." Eyeing one of the apples in his basket she leaned over and nabbed it, munching on the sweet juicy fruit with relish. Licking her lips after, then looking embarassed, she was acting so out of character, anyone would think she hadn't eaten for ages.

Orion grew even more concerned as Eden spoke, his own eyes threatening to spill over unshed tears. He kissed her, unsure what else he was meant to do, whatever he could say. Still, he watched everything, every slight movement, the way she seemed to relish the sweeter fruit he had collected, the way she looked almost flushed and more emotional than normal... something wasn't right, he couldn't put his hoof on it. "I'll go get a healer...." He said, his voice cracking slightly in his desperation. What would he do if he lost Eden? What if she was really ill? What if the worst happened? It was suddenly all he could think about. His worst fears realised.

"Please be ok, Eden." He pleaded, his voice low. It was clear he was worried, he hid nothing from her that might shine through those silver eyes he hid from the rest of the world. Between them there were to be no secrets.

Looking at him and smiling, nuzzling and kissing him back, nodding in agreement to getting a healer, havign thought of seeing one soon anyway. "I was going to see one soon if I wasn't more awake soon, but now is as good a time as any... and I'm ok I jsut feel tired... and hungry now... but other than that I don't feel bad." Smiling trying to reassure him, her eyes loving as they met his, hers tearing up again. "I'll be fine, I promise, I will be... I wont leave you." Reading his fear in his eyes so easily, she told him everything, and him her, she loved that no matter what he accepted what she had to say. The only time she kept quiet was if the secret was someone elses, not because she didn't trust Orion, but because someone had trusted her with their secret and so she kept it.

Orion nodded, and didn't hesitate as she agreed with him about fetching a healer, even her quietly spoken promise about not leaving her, the tears in her eyes... it all had him fearing all the more. He couldn't stand seeing her like this and not understanding what was going on. He kissed her again, taking a moment to kiss each eye softly, a silent 'don't cry' before he stood up. "I'll go get someone.... just wait here." Before he left he nudged the basket of fruit closer to her, not wanting her to have to exert herself too much should she decide to have more. If you were sick plenty of fluids and food was good for you right? He hoped that was the case at least.

Orion was in such a hurry to find a healer that he completely ignored the fact that he hadn't replaced the blindfold over his eyes. No, all that mattered was finding someone. He looked left and right, headed towards the rest of the herd when he spied Chandra. She could help? Right? Or was it best to get Carlisle....? He didn't know. Panic filled his voice as he forced himself to speak first, for Eden, he reminded himself, he could do anything if it was for Eden. "Cha...handra." He suddenly felt like he needed to bow so did, but as soon as he did he felt incredible silly... she was the daughter of the alpha pair, not the alpha herself but still, she deserved respect. Shaking those thoughts he focused on the matter at hoof. "Do you kno--w where Carlisl--e might be?" He stuttered a little, only just managing to hold back a case of the shivers.

Chandra was just looking for Sonnet when she heard quickened hooves approach, normally she would have got out of the way except... Orion... with no blindfold? She had never seen the stallions eyes before, and as he got closer she had to blink back her surprise. They were beautiful, a swirling silver colour, but that only confused the mare, why did he see the need to hide such beautiful things? Part of her had always feared that perhaps they were red? Or glowed as some kalona's did... he was after all half of their breed, but now.. these were magnificent. Of course he thoughts were shattered as she heard him speak, it was a rare sight on its own but the meaning behind those words soon became obvious. Eden? Sick? She turned to look in the direction of Heze, and although she couldn't see her from here she knew that her daughter and friend, Haki, were resting while Carlisle made another of his mixtures for him. "He's busy. Is there anything I can help with? If it's an emergency we can find him as well?" She offered.

Orion listened, and nodded, anyone, he needed anyone.... he didn't know if it would be deemed an 'emergency' after all Eden had been breathing and speaking when he left... but what did he know. The word was enough to bring panic to his body and mind. Was it possible it was more serious than he had ever imagined?

Chandra watched the reaction on Orion's face, the emotions swirled all too clearly in those silver eyes and she had to wonder if that was part of the reason why he hid them so. She didn't touch him, knowing he didn't like anyone other than Eden doing that, but still her maternal instinct told her she couldn't just leave him like this, adopting a similar persona to what she used with her pregnant mares she spoke with a soft yet confident voice, "Don't worry Orion, I am sure she is ok. She has you." She smiled, and even though she was aware of a possible time sensative issue she also knew that the emotional needs of those around her were just as important. "Take me to her. Please." She said softly, watching as those words seemed to wake something up with the stallion as he turned and indicated that she should follow. Bringing her four wings in at her side she ran just behind him, giving him enough space as to not feel intimidated by her presence. She didn't want to spook him after all, sure that Eden would never forgive her for it.

It didn't take long to find Eden, she was in the couples personal space, and Chandra suddenly felt like she was intruding, at least until she looked at Eden. Concern flooded her features for a moment but she quickly pushed it aside. Approaching she smiled and sat beside the other mare. "What's wrong Eden? Tell me what you feel." Chandra hoped it was nothing serious, a fever perhaps?

Eden lifted her head, she had munched a good portion of the apples while Orion had been gone, leaving him the pares, she knew he loved them, but the rest had been fair game and she had tucked in. But when she was done she had rested her head down again, her mind wandering till Chandra had shown up. Her cheeks burning red under her green coat, now she had to tell someone other than Orion it all seemed so daft.

Looking for Orion then, her expression totally softening whn she saw him hovering, looking liek a different Eden here, Even with Orion she was more circumspect in public, but the smile she gave her mate in their space was one that none of the herd would have thought she had in her. Sighing, seeing him looking so worried she looked back to Chandra. "It seems so silly... But I feel ok... I've just been so tired lately, and hungry for sweet things." Not addign that she had been overly emotional, she just felt so silly for causing Chan the bother of coming here, her eyes misting up again causing her to give a delicate little sniff.

Orion looked down at Eden in concern but smiled all the same, repeating Chandra's words in his head. She will be ok. She will be ok. That didn't stop his heart from thundering in his chest but that was ok, it was simply a sign of how much he loved her... surely if he didn't he wouldn't care right now. He lowered his head to her, only then noticing the slide of material as his blindfold slid across his nose. He froze, realising what he had done! He had left Chandra see him without his blindfold, his cheeks burnt bright, and eventhough he really wanted to put it back into place he was willing to take his eyes off his mate.

Chandra was clueless about Orion for a moment, her attention was clearly on Eden. Taking in the slight changes in the mare. She seemed flushed, her eyes a little red and watery as if she wanted to cry. Both when coupled with the symptoms the mare had told her of made Chandra think of only one thing. A little hesitantly she looked up at Orion and then back at Eden, this wasn't a conversation she usually had in front of stallions but she had a feeling that nothing in the world was about to tear this stallion away from his mate. It was for that reason she powered on. She spoke softly, her concern obvious though a secret smile whispered upon her lips. "Eden... tell me the truth, have you been feeling really weepy? Maybe a little tender or achy in the joints? And eh...." She looked up at Orion once more before returning her attention the green mare before her. "...was the last time you bled more than one moon ago?"

Looking at Chandra, havign to think about what she was asking. Nodding finally. "Yes, all kinds of silly things have been making me teary lately...." The penny dropping as the significance of the questions sunk in, the one she hadn't though about was the last... But now that she was thinking about it, she couldn't remember for sure, which meant that it was more than a moon cycle ago....

Groaning and hiding her head under her wing, feeling totally humiliated, now that she thought about it it all made total sense, but then she hadn't seen anyone else but chan go through pregnancy so other than theory she knew little about it, and even theory was not reliable, after all her mother hadn't told her about all the crying and the sleeping, sure cravings and being achy... She hadn't really been cravign anything weird, and while achy and tired many thigns could explain those as well as an increase in appitite.

Giving another little sniff, feeling all weepy again. "I'm an idiot.... That never occured to me to think about.... but your right.... all those things... your right..."

Orion looked between the two mares utterly confused... what where they talking about... what? They hadn't said anything specific but he had a feeling they both knew exactly what the other was saying silently. He turned and focused on Eden then. He wasn't sure if should ask or not... but he had to know! Was she at least ok? He could know that much, couldn't he? "Are.... are... you ok?" He asked a little timidly since they had company.

Chandra chuckled down at Eden and leaned forward to kiss the top of her head, "Don't be silly. You should have seen me when I first figured it out." The smiled increased as she recalled her own pregnancy, and then what followed... telling Sonnet. In this case that would be Eden telling Orion, and Chandra had no idea how the quiet stallion would take it since she had had very few direct interactions with him... though she still got the impression that he would be over the moon, this was his private little world after all, and she had a feeling that it expanding would do the stallion some good. Not that she would voice that out loud.

She stood with a grace known to her breed, the smile refused to fade even as she looked down at the couple. "Congradulations. I'll leave you two to it... for now at least, but expect a call at a later date for a check up. Ok?" Part of Chandra wanted to go and tell everyone the good news, but she knew it wasn't her news to tell... still, everyone would be happy, no exstatic! Especially after the recent fear brought on by a badly injuried Haki. She bowed her head softly and started to walk away, a skip in her step and a song in her heart.

Orion watched Chandra leave, and became even more confused. "We don't need her?" He asked, looking back at Eden with a slight tilt of his head. He was still beyond concerned but now that Eden seemed to be less worried, the tesion having visably melted from her body, he realised there was probably very little for him to worry about. Lowering his head more he snuffled his head under her wing to look her in the eyes. "What's wrong?" He asked.

Eden had stayed hidden, just making an affirmative noise to Chandra, grateful to her cousin... well kind of cousin... She would definately be spending time with the other mare, after all if they were both right and she doubted Chan would be mistaken then she was carrying foals and that meant telling a lot of people and having to submit to being fussed over, though she knew Chandra would help her every step of te way if she needed it... But first...

The but first nosed his way under her wing and looked at her, moving her head closer and nuzzling his nose with hers, kind of their version of an eskimo kiss... Poor Orion he would have no idea what was going on, but how to tell him, would he be happy? She remembered how afraid he had been of looking after the hummingbird she had found and given to him to care for... But foals... he hated his father, what if one came out looking like him?.... Closing her eyes a moment and taking a breath. She was borrowing troubles, she trusted her mate with everythign she was and she knew she could trust him to love their foals as much as he loved her.

Her head still under her wing with him for now, even though they were totally alone it gelt more comforting, even though a little light filtered in so they could see eachother. "Orion.... There nothing wrong with me... well not in the sense of being sick.... But something has changed and its a big change... it will be a big change for us both..." Really not sure how to do this, just blurting it out seemed unfair, but how did you do such a thing delicately? "You see... soon we are going to have the patter of little hooves to keep us busy."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 09, 2012 7:38 am

Orion breathed an obvious sign of relief when Eden said that there was nothing wrong with her. He couldn't believe just how relieved he was by those simple words. Yet as he listened he found himself growing confused again. He frowned a little. Patter of hooves? Were some of the other herd members coming to visit them? He was completely oblivious as to her meaning, not having interpretted the word 'little' properly, in fact his mind seemed to skip over it completely.

He found himself whispering, as if afraid that the rest of the herd might hear him and somehow be offended. "Why are some of the other herd members coming to visit? How busy will they keep us?" It was obvious he had misunderstood but still he found himself kissing Eden's nose before settling back down. He rather enjoyed being under her wing with her. It was cosy. Secluded. Private. Like they had their own little slice of solitude in an otherwise busy and chaotic world. "I won't stop them visiting," Orion started to say, feeling as if he had to make it obvious that for Eden he would be ok with whatever she wanted, "...but I'm sorry if I am not very good at... eh... well, hosting them." That would be an understatement.

Eden couldn't help herself she started shaking a little, trying hard not to giggle but failing. Kissing his nose lovingly, as she got her giggles under control. "Oh Orion I love you, but theres no LITTLE hooves in the herd at the moment, but there will be soon it seems, ones I hope that are as handsom as their daddy." Kissing him again and nuzzling gently, relaxing with him like this was nice. Murmering softly to stop any more misunderstanding. "You are their daddy Orion...."

"Oh...." He said with a blush as she exagerated the 'little' this time. Foals. Now that he thought about it there were no foals that he had seen around the herd, though he hadn't heard that word at all when Eden had first said it. Of course when she said that she hoped they would be as handsome as their Daddy he couldn't help but frown a little in jealousy... who was she calling handsome? Sure, he had a low opinion of himself but wasn't this a little too much? Did she think someone else was better? Probably, he was simply lucky that she allowed him to stay beside her... he should be happy at that... but still....

Yet those thoughts were shattered as her next words fell upon him. You are their Daddy Orion....! WHAT! "Oh..." Was the only muffled noise that escaped his lips for a moment, his eyes wide as he tried to process that. "I'm going to be a Father.... I'm... your... you mean...." A smile slowly started to spread upon his face. "You are with foal?" He asked? He couldn't help but feel excited, even as worry seeped in at the back of his mind. A Dad! Him! Suddenly he frowned. "But... what if...." He looked down a little, ashamed at his darkened thoughts ruining this happy moment, but he found he needed to say it, needed know that she wouldn't hate him for the genes he had inflicted upon her. He whispered, almost afraid to speak any louder. "...what if they are like him... what if I am like him....?" His frown deepened. Would he run like his father had? No, the answer came as clear and a swift as snapping of a twig. He wouldn't leave Eden and any children he might sire. He loved their mother, he was sure he would love them too... or at least grow to love them, the idea was a little intimidating after all. Despite his slightly negative undertone to the conversation Orion had made no move to pull away, no move to retreat, and that told the stallion far more than he needed. He looked up at Eden again and smiled, the action reaching all the way to his silver eyes. "You will be a good mother." He said softly.

Nuzzling his nose gently, knowing that he wold have been worried about such a thing. "I'd not have mated with yo if I was worried about my foals taking after you, I hope they do take after you in many ways... you are wonderful Orion, inside and out.... I've never asked much about your family, and especially not him.... But if that happens then so be it, I'll love them anyway because you gave them to me... I never saw myself as a mother, never wanted any of this till I met you... I only want this with you." Smiling at him, nuzzled still under her wing. "I think you will be a good father too, I can't express how happy you make me, how proud I am to be your mate... And I'll be just as proud to have your foals. I'm going to love you even more as we go through this together." Smiling at him, tearing up again, happy tears this time though.

Orion listened and found himself blushing, thankful it was only Eden and him, and that they were under the her wing so the rest of the world couldn't see even if they were here. He suddenly felt a little guilty about having kept quiet about his past, about his family. He would tell her, he decided, he would tell her as much as he could at least. But first he kissed her again, "thank you." He whispered, hoping that her confidence in him wasn't misplaced as he feared deep within his heart.

"My mother only told me a little about my father, I don't think she knew much to tell..." He admitted, having learnt that he and his sister were the result of a one night stand. "...Lior and I... I mean.... my Mum... well..." He scruntched up his face as he tried figuring out what he was actually trying to say. He sighed and decided to start again, "His name was Scio, and he was afraid of shadows and the dark... at least thats what my Mother said. She spent the night trying to comfort him," He blushed, realising now exactly what his mother must have meant, "Come morning he was gone." He grunted a little at that, "She said he was a kalona, with purple eyes and long, long black hair that trailed on the ground... and that he seemed to be..." He frowned, "...almost made of shadows?" He laughed a little, knowing how silly that sounded. "I don't want to leave you...." He said quietly, as if he would suddenly fade into the shadows much as his other 'father' had.

In an effort to change the subject he thought of sister and mother. "I have a sister called Lior. Her wings are more like my fathers, while mine are more like my mothers... bar the hooks." The hooks that he knew Eden understood he had a hatred for. "She was always nice to me though, I think I would have been beaten up far more if she hadn't been around, would have been far more lonely too." He admitted, aware that Lior had done a lot for him in their childhood. "My mother.... she is nice." He said softly, "But... well... I think I disappoint her. My half-brother is a warrior, and I think she always expected me to be one too." He looked up into her eyes then, "Thats... well... about it." He said nodding, looking at her nervously as if hoping that hearing all of that wouldn't change how she felt about him.

Nuzzling him again having listened quietly, his father intrigued her, mostly because the idea of a kalona beign afraid was very different to her thinking, especially if he was full kalona, but made of shadows??? THAT was definately interesting. Kissing him softly her voice gentle. "Something I have learnt about magic and powers while growing up here... While I can wish I had abilities like my mother, grandparents and I guess great grandfather..." Not sure what Carlisle was but Alice called him father, but he never seemed to have any special abilities beyond any that a pure angeni had, though even for an angeni he seemd uncommonly selfless and kind. "...is that its all about the weilders intent... If you have the power to disappear and you want to disappear you will disappear... But it only works if thats what you really in your deepest heart want." Shifting closer, still under her wing, nuzzling her nose to his. "Though purple eyes sound pretty... I'll settle for not gold though... theres too many gold eyes in my family, pretty silver ones would be perfect... mmmm" Closing her eyes again trying to imagine the foals they had made together. "Oh.. I left the pares for you, and some other bits... I know you like the pares best." Smiling to herself, happy and safe, even if her mate wasn't a warrior, not everyone needed a knight in shining armour, some girls just needed a quiet farm boy, or something equally less impressive. Either way, she was hopeful and excited about what was to come now, musing aloud semi asleep again having been so happy and relaxed like this with him. "Who should we tell first?..."

Orion nuzzled his mate softly as he listened, while he wasn't fond of the idea of seeng purple eyes, and in fact loved Eden's golden ones, if they would make Eden happy he would accept them and grow to love them too. He smiled at the offer of pears, "You didn't have to." He said softly, chuckling a little bit, "But thank you... I do love them." Although he couldn't see much he found his eyes wandering over Eden's body, would she soon be large with foal? Large enough that the whole world would be able to see what he had done to his mate? He both loved and hated that idea.

When a sleepy sounding vouice asked who they should tell first he blinked, "Didn't we just tell Chandra?" He asked, once again misunderstanding her meaning.... but then when he did he coughed and blushed a little, "Eh.... I mean.... Your brother? Or mother perhaps?" That brought a memory back of what he had overheard between Renesme and Alice, and he felt as if his cheeks were on fire. "I think your mother will be.... very... happy." He said with a gulp.

"Mmmm? Whys that?" Far to content to be so chatty now, as long her her foals were all born healthy and strong she would be happy, even if they took after some obscure relative she had never met, as long as someone could identify why they came out that colour or pattern it was all good. Though it was probably a good idea to tell her mother and Crown first, though if she had to tell them seperately then she would have to tell her mother first, Crown would understand... Though she had a feeling he might be sad... Would he ever have foals? She hoped so, Crown deserved to be loved and have everything he wanted in life.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 09, 2012 8:38 am

He paused, not saying anything for a moment as he tried to decide what he should say to her. "Eh... I overheard... by accident, I swear I wasn't easedropping." He added quickly, not wanting Eden to see him as in the wrong or something. "Your mother talking to your grandmother, she... eh.... well...." He paused, hesitated more like, was he really saying this to her? He lowered his voice, fearing that he would be overheard and told off, "She said that she loved how you were around me.... and that... eh... well...." He blushed brighter if that possible, "...that she couldn't wait for some cute starry grandchildren." She had also added that were 'stunning like their Papa' but he couldn't bring himself to say that.

Noticing her looking sleepy he leaned forward and kissed under each eye. "Sleep Eden. I won't go anywhere. I promise."

Smiling at that, glad that her mother had come around to her mate. "Mmmm... Mum's got sense... I'm just happy I found my soul mate.... good looking was just a bonus." Nuzzling closer to him and starting to drift, not afraid of him vanishing, somehow she knew he would never abandon her. Falling sleep with a happy content smile next to him, with ideas of shairing her news when she woke with those that matterd most to her, well other that Orion.

LATER THAT DAY

Orion and Eden go to tell Renesme and Crown
PostPosted: Mon Jul 09, 2012 12:00 pm

Eden had slept well beside her mate, but when she woke she actually felt more refreshed than she had in days, maybe knowing what was going on helped, knowing the reason she was tired was the new life growing inside her. But that was just her guess, and as there was not likely any way she could tell for sure she got up slowly and stretched. Standing for a while, peering at herself as best as she could, did she look different? Finding herself feeling a small thrill, wondering how Orion would look at her when she was round with foal... their foals...

Looking around their area, the space that was home, thinking she would have to alter a few thigns to make room for teh little ones. Smiling and stretching again, feeling thursty, smiling at Orion, not sure if he was awake or asleep, but talking to him anyway, either he would hear and respond or not, in which case se would give him a nudge and tell him where she was going. And while she was out she can tell her mother and brother the news. "Orion, I'm going to get a drink, and pass the news on to Mother and Crown, did you want to come?" Leaving it up to him, she loved him with her but knowing his shy nature she wouldn't force him to do anything... encourage, not force... Noticing his blindfold was still off, wondering what Chandra had made of hi lovely eyes, knowing he would never have shown them on purpose, though she had to admit to a small pang of jealousy over that, silly though it was.

Orion had not really slept, he had simply spent the time watching his mate sleep, considering all the possibilities, the endless possibilities. If they just took the pair of them he couldn't help but wonder what their foals, what an alien concept... their foals, would look like. Delicate and beautiful like their mother? Perhaps mixed with a flood of his black and blue? He had no idea. But what he did know for sure, was that they would beautiful. In each he would see a slice of their mother. In each he would find a slice of his own heart to be kept forever. While he watched the stead up and down of Eden's breathing he realised he was not his father, nor was he like him, he wouldn't abandon this mare to a fate alone... no, this mare was his mate, his heart and soul. As she often said. Soulmate. He had to agree with the term, despite the fact that he had never believed he would ever experience such a thing..... long gone was the 'freak' of his foalhood.

When Eden stirred he pretended to sleep, not wanting her to worry too much that he wasn't resting enough. He knew they would both need their strength, especially when the foals were born.... and he really didn't want to add her another worry or fear, foals alone would be enough! Though when she said his name her eyes snapped open and he looked up at her. He could hear the honest truth behind her words... she wasn't forcing him, wasn't going to beg or tell him he had to do this simply because he was their father, no, she was giving him the choice... and for that reason he nodded. He didn't want to let her down, wanted to show off his beautiful glowing mate as much as any other stallion would... he might not say much or anything but he would at least be there when she spread the news. Foals. He still couldn't believe it. Was still in shock. Yet here he was... about to become a Father. Would there only be one? Or maybe they would be granted two like him and his sister.... two would be a good number, they could watch one each. Though he had noticed that most in the herd tended to foal three... three! Was there something in the water here? How would he cope with three? He shook his head, dislodging those thoughts, he would think about that later... right now... spread the news. Focus! Focus! He told himself, getting to his hooves and walking towards her. "Would you put my blindfold back in place, please." It was a silly thing, but he liked how she slipped it on and off as if he belonged to her alone, a truth with no doubt behind it as far as Orion was concerned but still. "Let's go tell them the good news. Together." He smiled softly, spending a moment longer to look at her. Currently her build was the same slender form of the mare he had mated, but she would round out.... would have little ones kicking and breaming with life.... and truth be told, he couldn't wait.

Eden smiled at him, giving him a soft kiss while she could still see his eyes, but she gently pulled his blindfold up and into place. Nuzzling him when it was there and smiling. Heading off with him towards the water, wanting a drink first, but that didn't take long. From there it was just a case of tracking down her mother, so she started off to where she usually slept as that was a good starting place. Ready to be fussed with, as her only daughter Renesme did like fussing with her, be it hair or frills or bows. Eden while not in the least inclined to fuss with herself other than to keep her mother happy had grown to accept it with some enjoyment as mother daughter time.

Orion patiently watched and waited as Eden drank, following after her very much like a familar following their bonded partner. In many ways he suppose a mate wasn't much different. Where one went the other wanted to go.

As they started to look for her mother, Orion allowed himself to look around. "There." He said softly, wanting to laugh at the look on Crown's face as he allowed his mother to 'fluffy' up his hair, not that the guy exactly needed it.

Crown groaned a little as his mother once again started playing with his hair, but he didn't argue or complain in words, simply put up with it. At least it was company... he had been feeling rather lonely lately, so any company was good. He knew his father wasn't really around at the moment, he had gone off travelling or something so he figured his mother was lonely too.... two lonely hearts seeking their other hearts, not that Crown had exactly allowed himself to fully admit his feelings in words. He was still rather embarassed about what had happened the other day... what with the running and the stomping in the lake. Yeah, his emotions had got the best of him. Still, talking with his mother did have a mostly calming effect. He had to admit it was nice to just be with her. "How did you know you loved Dad?" he asked. At least until he heard other hoofalls. Instincts flared and he looked up, only to relax once he saw Eden. "Nevermind, here comes Eden and Orion." He was actually surprised to see Orion... especially since the guy was looking... taller... somehow, less timid and more, well he wasn't sure but something was different, and that was enough to claim Crown's attention. "Hey sis." He said as they got closer, before nodding to Orion in welcome also.

Renesme was enjoying herself, talking about nothing of much importance yet at the same everything. She loved all three of her children, though she found she was closest with Crown and Eden than Paris, like their father he seemed to have a roaming heart. She had been about to comment on Crown's latest comment, wondering if he had a pretty mare he was courting or in love with, when he mentioned Eden. Her head whipped up to see her daughter, a huge grin spreading across her face. "Eden." She chirped, "Orion!" It was a surprise to see her son-in-law, but despite her earlier doubts she had grown to see him as a respectable and nice young man, one who did so much for her daughter. She could never thank him enough for that. Standing up she trotted towards them, hugging her daughter and Orion -not thinking about the fact he didn't seem to like it much- before beaming at them both. "So nice of you to visit." She chuckled, "Come, come, sit and chat with us for a while... or are you busy?" She beamed over at them, seeing herself and Rune at that age, free spirited with so many dreams and desires.

Eden gave her gentle smile and hugged her mother, giving her bother a nuzzle and a tug on the mane that was now super fluffy. Laughing for a moment only able to imagine Orions face if they had a foal that inherated those genetics. Still smiling, not able to stop it seemed, the Eden Chan had run into was still there in full force, though realising it made her blush, she didn't feel comfortable with her emotions so turbulant and close to the surface, she would be glad when she was more herself again. Looking at her mother and brother. "We were looking for you actually." Settling onto the grass it not taking long for her mother to start on her long hair... Not minding as at least she couldn't be 'fluffed' like Crown could. "I'm glad you are together though..." Sounding a bit unsure, not wanting her brother angry at her again, knowing he was struggling with his nature. She had seen Kyran around but not them together, she was guessing that he was trying to be around but give Crown space, not an easy thing to do, though she had the feeling that Kyran did love her brother, but it was up to them to work it out.

Orion went wide eyed with shock at the hug, Eden's mother was one of the only herd members who touched him without permission or hesitation... and sometimes he wondered if it was to prove that she was 'ok' with him, that she accepted him. In one way that thought was comforting... he simply wished it was expressed an alternative way. He followed Eden, silently sitting down beside her but not saying anything, he didn't know what to say. He looked at Crown and couldn't help but smile at the guys hair... oh Moon he hoped that one of their kids didn't end up with hair like that! Still, if it happened it happened. Orion knew he would love and cherish them no matter what featured they got.

Renesme smiled at the fact they had been looking for her, sitting down beside her daughter to start playing with her hair. She had always wanted a daughter, and cherished the fact that she had been blessed with out... even a tomboy. After a moment she asked, "So, why were you looking for me? Us, rather?" She asked, before returning to play with Eden's hair.

Crown breathed a sigh of relief at not being the sole centre of attention, not that he hadn't been enjoying it mostly, still he found himself curious as to why Eden and Orion had been looking for them, that was a rare occassion that was for sure. Only one reason popped into mind and he teasing said, "Don't tell me... you're pregnant!" he chuckled, not expecting it to be true, in truth he couldn't even imagine Orion touching his sister... not that he wanted to imagine such things.

Eden went crimson at her brothers joke, having been about to say the same thign but with more delicacy, shooting her brother a look, her emotions being the pingpong ball that they were she burst into tears, probably startling everyone there. "So what if I am.... did you have to say it like its a bad thing?" Sniffing and trying to get herself under control, she didn't cry, and bawling like this was totally not like her. "We.... we wanted you both to be the first to know...." Knowing that her flipping out like this was not Crown's fault, it was totally the baby hormones, but she was too emotional to explain that wihtout it seeming like she was trying to make him feel better, so she did the only thing that made sense while she tried to get herself under control, she called on the only other one there that had gone through this to help calm the boys down. "Mummy!?... Burying her head under her wing again taking deep breaths to calm down, hoping her mother understood what she wanted.

Orion glowered at Crown for making her cry, ok so he knew the guy only meant it as a joke but Eden seemed so fragil lately that he worried about her. He prodded her a little with his nose, hoping to bring her comfort, still he knew that she didn't usually like public displays of affection... not that he was prone to them either, but yeah... it was awkward trying to figure out what she wanted, or rather needed him to do. "Do-n't cry. Please don't cry." He tried to coo softly, hoping it would help.

Renesme blinked in alarm. Eden... crying! As she listened to the words she felt herself torn... part of her wanted to yip and yelp in joy! Yet the other part of her wanted to punish Crown for making her cry. As Eden whimpered a 'Mummy' she knew all too well that her daughter was struggling with the baby hormones, which likely meant one thing... three babies. The more babies the more hormones. She herself had had a terrible time. "That's wonderful news!" She exclaimed, wiggling slightly so she could cover her daughter with her wing to comfort her. She looked up at the men then, sure enough spying their looks of surprise and confusion. Men, such simply beings. "It is just the baby hormones, it will settle down in two moons.... maybe less, depending how far along she is." Still she turned and glowered at Crown, "You have to watch what you say, I don't want her upset!" Turning to Orion she added, "And you will spoil her, if she wants something you will get it... trust me when I know cravings. Crown for example made me crave these blue flowers from the meadow that were a pain to find in that season...." She laughed in memory, hoping that talking about such things would calm her daughter down. "I remember the three of them wiggling as if fighting in my tummy, it was magical." She petted her daughter with her wings, doing her best too sooth her. "It's ok Eden. You have so many lovely things to look forward to.... oh.... oh!" She nearly squealed in delight. "Baby names! We need to think about them, and we have to tell everyone... we could have a baby shower. I've always wanted to run one, and try and find a special gift for each foal...." She smiled, getting carried away a little by the situation. "Of course, I suspect it is three." She said softly into Eden's ear before kissing it.

Crown felt... terrible! He stared in disbelief at Eden and her reaction. Wait... she was pregnant! Did that mean... oh moon! Talk about hoof in mouth! "I'm sorry Eden...." He said softly, listening to their mother ramble on about baby things that he had no idea bout, and probably would never have a need to know about given he wasn't interested in mares. It was a little sad to consider that he may never get to have children of his own... was this twang in his heart... jealousy? No, he would cherish her children as if his own, she wouldn't deny him that? Would she? "I'm sorry Eden. I don't think it's a bad thing... honest! I just... well... I never expected it." he admitted with a timid smile. Eden was the last he would have expected pregnant.

Eden quieted down, staying under her wing a little longer as her feelings settled again, finally emerging and giving Orion a nuzzle, not crying any more. Giving them all a smile, wondering if the tiredness was connected to the emotional thing because she felt tired again now... or maybe drained was a better way of describing it....

Looking at Crown and giving him a tender smile, she adored her brother though she was not one to show it as much as she could. "Its ok, I'm a pingpong ball at the moment, even silly things make me cry... So far I'm hating the crying over nothing the most." Leaning past her mother to nuzzle Crown, part of her wishing he could experience fatherhood, she had grown to think he would be a good father, especialyl when she had seen him with Heze when the mare was small, besides part of her knew that if the unthinkable happened and she lost Orion somehow Crown would be like a father to her foals, she knew she could trust in him to fuss and care for them. She had no doubts about that. Whispering softly in his ear, so only he could hear. "I love you Crown, your the best little brother I could have asked for." Sitting back and smiling at him.

Looking at her mother, having herd wht she had said, not sure how she felt about 3 foals, 3 was a lot to handle, but then they were on their way now so there was no telling what would come. Her smile turning indulgent, not wanting to spoil her mothers fun, after all she didn't get to fuss and dote as much as she might have had Renesme like Chandra had 3 daughters. "You can do that if you want mum, but.... we havent even come close to thinking of names yet, we literally only found out a few hours ago..." Looking over at Orion and smiling. "Maybe we can talk about it after Orion and I have had chance to decide on some things..." Planting a kiss on Orion's cheek, not wanting his quiet nature to leave him left out of things, he was the father and so his voice carried more weight than anyone elses, no matter how much she loved them. Looking back to her mother. "But I'll be wanting you all to be part of the foals lives and mine while I go through this part, as much or as little as you want."

Orion watched the exchange, not saying or doing more after seeing Eden return to her 'self', or at least a version of herself that she was more comfortable showing the world. He couldn't help but wonder if the covering with her wing thing was going to become a habit during her pregnancy, she had never done it before -not that he had seen- but already had done it twice. He imagined there were a lot of things that would change from here on out. LOTS of things, and not just because they would soon have foals upon them.... no... everything was going to change, life would never be the same. A new adventure.

As Eden's mother addressed him he found himself flinching a little. Of course he would do anything and everything Eden needed and desire from him... more if he could figure out what she wanted but wasn't voicing. Did Reneseme doubt his intent? Or was she simply trying to look out for her daught? He suspected it was the latter but that didn't help calm his racing heart. Still he nodded in reply, unable to summon his voice. He loved Eden, and that would make sure he did whatever was needed. Kissing his mate back he smiled softly at her, suddenly wondering what names they would pick... there were so many!

Crown nuzzled his sister back, glad to hear her gentle soothing words. That didn't stop him from feeling guilty. He would make it up to her somehow... maybe help Orion get whatever she craved, after all Crown was far less timid than the father and could travel further easily with his feathered wings. In an effort to keep the mood happy and light however he winked at his sister and decided to tease her a little, "You've got that right big sis!" He added a wink to prove he was joking, "You should so name one after me, no, all of them! Crown baby, Crown Junior and Crowny-Crown." He chuckled slightly, "It is such a good name after all!" He teased. He knew they never would, which was fine, in a way he wouldn't want anyone to have his name... afraid that he might taint them with it.

"I would love to be there for you though Eden." He smiled softly, seriousness settling in again. "If you need me just call, I'll come running. Ok?"

Renesme smiled at her daughter and nodded, "Of course dear, take all the time you need." She laughed, excitment bubbling within her. As Crown started to 'tease' his sister she smacked him with her tail. "Behave!" Of course there was no real anger in her tone, she knew what he was trying to do but still she hoped it didn't set Eden off again. Baby hormones were strange creatures after all.

Smiling and laughing a little as she watched her mother and brother, leaning a little agaisnt Orion, glad of the wampth of him and the feel of her mothers wing on her side, thinking she would need to talk to her mother privately at some point, but that could wait for now. "Its ok Mum I think I can handle a little teasing, besides he did just give me an idea..." Rolling the idea around in her head, looking from Orion to Crown trying to consolodate how it would work.

Crown grinned. "Of course I did! I'm just that awesome." Smiled and tilts his head to the side looking very much like a puppy who just recieved some praise, "Of course, I have no idea what I just did... but you're welcome." His eyes fall upon Eden pressing against Orion, he wasn't jealous... he wasn't... ok, he was! His eyes turned then to look towards the tree line. Would Kryan even be out there? He didn't have a clue how to find the guy if he didn't come to see him.... yet right now there was a pang in his heart, he wanted to see him.... wanted to see if there was anything between them, wanted to see if he could figure out how he really felt, even if he didn't say it outloud. Shaking his head and causing his fluffy mane to dance he returned his attention back to the group before him. Though he fell silent he tried to smile.

Orion accepted the light weight of Eden happily, his eyes once again looking up and down her body. Things were changing.... he looked to her belly... foals. His foals. He smiled, unable to stop himself from revealing the expressive expression. HE leaned in and whispered, so quickly he doubted anyone else could hear, "I love you."

Renesme couldn't help but smile as she watched the scene. Orion and Eden made a sweet couple, sure she had been worried at first but it had quickly revealed to be falsely placed worry... kalona blood or not, Orion was nothing like that breed; on top of that he was a stunning creature... her daughter had picked well, despite his timid quietness it was clear he would do anything for her daughter, what mother could ask for more. And grandchildren! Her first grandchildren. "Well, you know I will be here to babysit and help out whenever you need it." She doubted there would ever be a time she would say no. "Of course, if you have girls..." She could just see them now, three beautiful girls all as stunning as their mother and black as midnight like their father, "...I will dote over them so much they will think they have two mothers!" She chuckled, she would loved grandsons too, but girls were more likely to let her fuss over their hair and stuff.

Eden smiled at her mother and looekd ar Crown. "Well I think they might end up thinking they have two fathers too... I can just imagine it now..." Putting on a little foal voice. "Mummy... Gram Mum is taking us swimming... and uncle dad is coming too!... Daddy said its ok if you say so so can we pleeeeeeeaseee???" Ok so she was exagerating but she didn't doubt that it would end up something like that. Not that she thought her mother or brother would try to teak her foals away but they were both so much more expressive with their feelings and love than she or Orion were... Maybe that was something they were going to have to change, she knew they would adore the foals like no other but they would have to take special care to show them and leave the foals in no doubt that they are loved.

Watching Crown look around, wondering if he had realised that Kyran had been lurking around waiting to be called for. She had no idea what had gone on with them both but the other stallion had been around a lot, maybe he was waiting for Crown to want to be with him too and just call for him. "Don't worry Crown you didn't do anything major, just gave me an idea for a name... one that mixes you and Orion together well name wise." Wanting to tell her brother where to find his companion, knowing he was lonely, knowing he was worried, especially with Kimi about again, not sure if he had seen Kyran since the attack, but it was something that Crown needed to work out for himself, that Kyran would be there when Crown wanted him to be, once he worked that out and accepted how he felt, maybe then Crown would be there when Kyran needed him to be too.

Crown was thankful the distraction of Eden's words and nodded, "Uncle Dad at your service." He said, and despite the smile his tone was a little... sad. Even to his ears he could hear it, so he swiftly tried to cover by laughing... that sounded hollow, or was that just to Crown? He didn't know anymore. "Oh... so a mix... Cion?" He smiled, not actually hating the name. Of course he was sure there were lots of other variations too. He leaned in and gave his mother and sister a kiss, "Ok... its time for me to get to work." A lie, he actually had the night off, but he needed to get away for a little while... maybe seek out company... well that of one person in particular. The more time that past the more Crown started to realise something. He had once been told that love was never being able to get the person out of your mind, of going crazy questioning everything, of wanting to spend as much time as possible with the other... that was how he felt? Wasn't it? The more he thougt about it the more he had to acknowlge... that he loved Kyran. They may have only had a short amount of time together but his heart had already started to lean towards the other. There was no going back. He blinked, realising that he had stood up and was simply standing their like an idiot. He smiled and bowed his head, "I'll see you all later. And Eden... look after yourself!" He added in a firm-ish voice before walking away.
