I've gotten the sad news that Lisa, our Tangodanser, passed away this last Friday night, February the 18th. I'm waiting to hear from her long-time boyfriend about what happened and will keep you all posted.

And here is a photo taken from the summer of 2003 when Jason, Jade and I stopped in Memphis for a couple nights on our way to vacation in NC. Lisa was such a gracious host, very giving and hospitable and kind, and she put us up in a hotel for 2 nights and took us out to eat a few times. I got to spend some time with her and her Romy Oh who was also very kind and fun to be around.

This is the second online friend that i've lost in as many weeks and i'm deeply saddened by this. These things make me dwell on my own mortality and how much or little i've made of my life. so now i'm even more determined to enjoy life and achieve something. Lisa danced and it made her happy, so i shall dance in memory of her, even if it's just in my living room, and my life will be better for it. Because of the joy brought by another.
Goodbye Lisa, i didn't know you for very long but i shall miss you for much longer, dance in the clouds and make rainbows for everyone you've left behind. xxx

She was so nice to me when I was a newbie on Neo, we exchanged christmas cards and Neopets TCG's. I really will miss her but do know that she is in a much better place now.

*blubs* seriously . Oh , lord. Giant hugs for Fawn and all. Damn i am going to miss Tango . She was the best . Helped me as a newbie and RAK'd Bella and i a stack of McNeopets plushies from around the world .
People might think i am silly for being so upset at the loss of someone i never met in RL , but a lot of what we talk about online IS RL and sometimes more than what we would say out loud to people physically present. it is impossible to have known someone with such a special heart for two years and not grieve.
Please pass on any prayers and best wishes to her RomeOh and her family . has anyone thought of sending a neo care package to her nephew on neo ?

I don't even know waht to say/do. I've never lost anyone from the online world, and had no idea it would affect me like this. I didn't know her ALL that well, but I did know her from the time I spent here and on the couch. We exchanged cards and valentines.

I just don't know waht else to say or think.

Dear Lisa, thank you for always sending me collection items on Neopets. And thank you for ALWAYS neomailing me a thank you, even when I'd send you one strawberry artichoke I came across. Thank you for being on the boards that I frequent, so I could hear from you often. Thank you so much for your hospitality in Memphis, your kindness, your generosity, and all that you did for my family when we visited. Thank you for the plushie blue noil you sent to Jade in the mail, and for the stickers and cards I got from you often. I never received so many random surprises in the mail from anyone other than you! I am sorry that I never got a New Mexican Kachina Doll sent out to you and your parents as a thank you for being so gracious to us. I meant to, but it's one of those things that I put off until it's too late. When I get around to unpacking my two Kachina Dolls for the mantle place, you can help me, and we can look at them together. Thank you Lisa for being a part of my life. You touched it with love, and my life is better because of it.

Unfortunately i didn't know her at all with being sort o fMIA an awful lot over the past year and a half. But to those of you who did all my loves to ya and all my love to her family and BF too!

crying I really don't know what to say, it came as a shock when I saw this on the Yahoo board...

For those who are sending cards etc. to her family, what are you writing? I really want to send something, but I'm feeling a little weird about it since I never met her in person...

I didn't know her well either but she was a kind and loving lady that I will truly miss. She touched so many of us and I'm sure she is watching over us all now.

I still haven't figured out what I'm going to say in the card I'm sending. I'm thinking it'll just be something simple. Even just a card is enough sometimes tho, so if you can't find the words just let the card do the talking for you.

This is also the first online person I know that passed. I had a friend pass last year that I met online (he was the first one to try and teach me html) but I got to meet him in RL and he used to come up to my karaoke all the time. I too didn't realize how hard it would hit me. I miss her so much. Even just reading her old posts here brings a tear to my eye.
