Storyteller middle class
An important part of Tianxia, culturally speaking. These aren't just individuals who tell bed-time stories to children. Storytellers do precisely that, tell stories, but there is some skill and hard work involved. Storytellers will often tell very complex stories, even long epics that can't be told in one sitting. Truly, they can work in a variety of ways with many styles. There can be many styles, some focusing on comedy, fantasy, even horror. These are, practically speaking, authors! A good storyteller can draw in crowds, eager to listen to their stories. Storytellers may even travel for the sake of inspiration and experience, or even to learn stories from all around the world.

Bard middle class
Similar to storytellers, bards may often tell narratives of their own. What differentiates the two is the very distinct style. Bards usually speak far more lyrically, more often relying on rhymes. They're more poetic, so to speak. Other bards may not even bother with telling long stories, and often simply rely on music, singing about their feelings, or just whatever they wish to. Like storytellers, a good bard may draw in a crowd, or go on trips in order to learn or gain experience and inspiration. Musical bards are usually singers, with those specialized in instruments quite rare. Still, it is not entirely unheard of.

Performer middle class
This rank is a bit of a fusion of the career of an actor and a dancer. Dancers do just what would be imagined, performing by using their body as a means of expression. Actors are more common, and typically more popular. These SoA will usually perform skits, or even full on plays to amuse crowds. Actors usually work in small troupes, but some perform on their own, either interpreting several roles by themselves or via monologues, quite similar to storytellers. It is not unheard of for actors to work with storytellers in order to come up with a good play.

Crafter middle class
These are SoA who rely on their dexterity for their art. They work most often with wood, stone and pelts to create items for others to wear, or even sometimes simple decorations, for those who want something pretty to look out. Some occasionally work with rudimentary sculpting. It is not unheard of for a crafter to specialize in other materials like bones, for example. Crafters usually spend quite some time searching for proper material for their work, seeing as some enjoy using special stones.

Painter middle class
The ability to paint is valued in Tianxia, as it can be quite beautiful. Painters know how to mix things they find, such as berries, to create paint and then use it to decorate, really, whatever they please. Often they are hired to decorate dens, or nearby trees and rocks, sometimes even the fur of those who wish it! Painters, like crafters, often need to go about looking for the right materials, and enjoy trying to create new colors.
