So here is where I'm going to stick my customs quests. And possibly my breeding quests.

YOU CAN POST. Seriously guys, I know most of these threads don't let you but I would love feedback and discussion. I ESPECIALLY would love feedback and discussion from colourists about edits and designs they'd be interested in.
I would NOT take a discussion as an implication that my slot for a custom would be more likely to be accepted, though. I just want to know what I'm best throwing at who!

Just... Please let me finish posting up the first page before posting. After that, anyone who joins in gets fruit tea.

Edits for customs:

-------------------------------------------------

Horns. <3 I love the horns. All styles should visibly grow out of the forehead.

Styles:
Curled "ram"-ish horns, with the ears poking through- possibly with ear edits.

More "upwards" horns, tilting backwards.

Little horns only if the others are impossible.

-------------------------------------------------

Manes. I love real "mane"-style edits compared to actual hair.

I only have one idea, really- a short, "punky" mohawk type hair style, which as it crests the back of the skull and reaches the spine lengthens into a longer, choppier style; merging into a full mane. This mane should be integrated into the cheek fluff, and fur from the inner ear should probably also merge into it, to give a real impression of a full mane rather than hair.
It should come down onto the chest, where it should give a very full, dense, fluffy look- especially on the female. Very long fur here.
Possibly even going through the front legs and giving longer fur on the lower chest/upper stomach area.

That's what I really WANT, but if that's not possible (but the rest of the custom is), then just a punky mohawk-style ridge, which looks like very spiky dense fur, should start on the forehead and run down the spine to about half-way between the shoulderblades and the rump.

-------------------------------------------------

Ears! Ear edits are fun.

Styles:
Ear tufts: I love tufty ears. I love both Raumo's simple tiny tufts and Herenya's full-ear edits.

Round ears: Rounded ears are also fun, but not really compatable with ear tufts. Also might get a little lost with a mane?

Inner ear fur: Yesss. Especially with a mane, and the lower fur being part of the mane. Silken, thinner ear fur would be better than spiky fur or really dense, thick-looking fur.

Outer ear fur: Yesplease. Especially with the ear style as it is now, and a really full top-of-the-ear tuft. These should be tufts.

-------------------------------------------------

"Point" fur:
Basically long fur on the elbows, ear tips (see above), and tail tip. Yep, that's about it.

-------------------------------------------------

Tail edits:
Different bob-tails would be pretty cool! Thinner bobs, little bobs- I love Raumo's tiny bob tail and different interpretations on the bobbed tail would be fun.

Spirit Tail edits- The "Spirit Tail" is pretty cool, and I would love to see it edited to be more "wild", with bits of fairly long fur sticking out slightly. Not crazy-wild, but a bit different.

Full, thick, feline-ish tails- I'll write this up later (just putting this in so I don't forget!)

-------------------------------------------------

Collar edits:
Yes yes yes. I would love to see artistic freedom and experimentation with collars! I did a wide leather collar and a silk collar and loved both, but if you have other ideas, please throw them at me! I would rather not get a custom with a standard collar.

-------------------------------------------------

Bell edits-
Again, I would love to see some simple bell edits- something that still looks "right" on the collar but is simply different from the normal bell. Example.

-------------------------------------------------

Wings- I would want them relatively small and sleek (certainly not large enough to fly with!). Although I have some ideas, the possibilities of wings are so vast, and my wishes so unsettled, that I don't think I can break it down into a few ideas- I know if other people have more ideas, I'd probably just be cutting out potential ideas.
So if you have any more ideas, please share! <3

Colours. Grey designs are loved; so are green, red or purple as secondary colours.

Colour scheme one:
Greys and silvers; mottled in a "base" pattern (interesting enough to be a pet on it's own, but it should work with the coloured markings, not detract from them.) Ranging from very bright silver to a mid-level grey at it's absolute darkest.
Red (dark- but not too dark, just a little), and "shiny" gold touches. Markings shouldn't necessarily be small- I also like larger markings, so don't feel you have to restrain yourself.

Colour scheme two:
Med brown (not too saturated), bottle green, and beige/light brown.

Colour scheme three:
White (priority colour), royal purple (secondary colour), possibly with charcoal.

Colour scheme four:
Greys, silvers, and grey-brown worked in; mottled in a "base" pattern (interesting enough to be a pet on it's own, but it should work with the coloured markings, not detract from them.) Ranging from very bright silver to a mid-level-dark grey at it's absolute darkest. The browns should be well-blended with the greys, low-saturation (but still noticeable) and on the lighter end of the spectrum.
Bottle green, possibly (but not definitely) "shiny" gold touches. Markings shouldn't necessarily be small- I also like larger markings, so don't feel you have to restrain yourself.

Designs: I like interesting patterns. One thing I like is to have the body coloured with similar colours (eg, a brown body with a lighter brown underside) and then the markings going over the top. HOWEVER, this doesn't mean that's all I like! It's not. It's a possible idea, but I love seeing what people come up with!
I love markings around and just underneath the eyes, which should be symmetrical; and I love asymmetrical head markings. Example.

Examples of Maneki Neko markings (NOT colours) I like, for marking ideas.

Face/head specific likes.

I would prefer something not too similar to what I already have. A lttle similar is fine, but not too close.

Trees Aligned Maneki Neko

Female?

Edits:

Mane should be "fur that looks like leaves". The idea came from this, although stay away from clearly defined separate leaves.
Colour should be mottled greens, the main area should be deep "healthy" green; mottles of brighter "bud" green, perhaps mottling down to yellows, oranges, and finally brown towards the bottom. (This colour scheme should also be used on the tail.)
The mane should start on the forehead; perhaps have some slender strands/sections going in front of the ears to show it's not "tucked" behind them. It should have longer fur on the cheeks, some of which incorperate themselves into the mane. Also longer fur from the inner ear should join into the mane as well. The final bits of mane should be seen on the lower chest/upper stomach, behind the front legs.

Horns should be rough, sort of like a tree branch grown into horn shape. One section should curl around the ears. The other should be a tiny "antler"-style offshoot near the top of the curled horn; leaning backwards. It should be coloured like bark.

"Wings" should be primarily based off these.

Tail should be the Spirit Tail, edited to "match" the mane's slightly leafy look. Same colouring as the mane.

Eyes should be slightly narrower and tilted- sort of "almond shape" with the outer points tilting slightly up.

Ears should have tufts on the end. (Maybe Herenya-inspired?)

Also Longer fur on the "elbows".

Colours:

The body should be mottled "bark" colours, with green patterning ("healthy" leaf green, the dark but saturated shade of well-watered, well-lit leaves.) Face markings, something around the eyes and perhaps on the cheeks. Unsure on the markings; but perhaps something which is inspired by vines/leaves etc, but remains somewhat abstract. Perhaps more angular than vines?

Accepted by Pia pre-hiatus.

Gender: Female?

Horn style: Upright.

Mane style: Full.

Tail style: "Wild" edited spirit tail w/ long strands.

Ear style: Side and top tufts. Inner ear as part of mane?

"Point" fur.

Wings: A more organic version of these. Small-ish and sleek.

Colours: Greys, silvers, and grey-brown worked in; mottled in a "base" pattern (interesting enough to be a pet on it's own, but it should work with the coloured markings, not detract from them.) Ranging from very bright silver to a mid-level-dark grey at it's absolute darkest. The browns should be well-blended with the greys, low-saturation (but still noticeable) and on the lighter end of the spectrum.
Bottle green, possibly also (but not definitely) "shiny" gold touches (if included, these should definitely be a tertiary colour). Markings shouldn't necessarily be small- I also like larger markings, so don't feel you have to restrain yourself. Markings around the eyes should be symmetrical, but markings on the rest of the head could be asymmetrical. Such as.

Gender: Male?

Horn style: Curled

Mane style: Only the mohawk on the head, but with an actual mane on the chest/shoulders, with it thinning to a fur ridge down the back.

Tail style: Spirit Tail with edited strands, long enough to "flop" downwards?

Ear style: Edited to lean slightly sideways and then curl up, to ensure it's tucking "through" the horn. Maybe with long inner ear fluff that grows out to a long point near the base...? Unsure.

"Point" fur.

Breedings!

Everyone knows I am a breeding fiend. <3 I love breeding with a passion. I'm going to post some of my pairings which I hope to get a breeding slot for!

I will only post a pairing if the owner of the second Maneki Neko has been enthusiastic enough about the breeding to convince me that, if all goes well, we'll be applying for a slot in the foreseeable future. Normally that will involve them showing themselves to be committed to RPing them together. <3

I'm always happy to discuss pairings! Here is my log- please DO NOT post there, only here.
