It was about time to visit Yun again. Heaven knows that trying to hunt down Morin was practically an effort in futility. However trying to make sure that Morin at least had some contact with society hadn’t let him catch up too much with his other friends. Not that the demon had much other friends. Well friend since Meris didn’t have too many that he let close. He wished he had been there more to help Yun while Yami was growing up however things had gotten weird when Yun didn’t remember the night Yami was born and Yami was half demonic with traits that looked like they could have come from Meris.
It wasn’t possible, or at least Meris was about sure it wasn’t possible but they had stayed away from each other for a while. With Yami all grown up Meris figured the awkwardness would have disappeared. It probably also didn’t help that Meris had an unnatural likeness to Yun’s oldest and only child. It was a bit awkward between them as Yun didn’t remember the night Yami was born at all.
Luckily Yun gave much better directions to his current residence than Morin did. Meris landed on the ground and tucked his wings behind him looking to what seemed to be a coffee shop. Well hopefully Yun was in, meris had accidently arrived a bit earlier than he had planned.

User ImageBolero really hadn't meant to entertain today, he'd come to visit his grandfather, snag a coffee, and head out to meet Kaito. One of the regulars had recognized him, though, and talked Bolero into singing a song for his girl. Acquiescing, Bolero sang a short love song he knew, before bowing off the stage.

He didn't know where Yun had gotten off to, but since his grandfather was nowhere to be found, Bolero decided strategic retreat was a good idea. Grabbing his coffee, he hurried out of the cafe, accidentally knocking into someone just outside the cafe. Luckily, the coffee stayed in the cup and off of the guest.

"Oh, geez, sorry." Bolero said, making the words more melodic than plain speaking and infusing the words with calm feelings. The last thing he needed was to piss off one of his grandfather's clients. Or his own, for that matter. "That was my fault."

Well it looked like it was doing well if the amount of people and noodles visiting was anything to go by. He tried looking for Yun, but he couldn’t even feel his friend’s presence. Well Meris had continual bad luck. He wasn’t really one for coffee but knowing yun, the café had to serve more than coffee.
Suddenly he was getting bumped into and resisted using his powers to keep the coffee cup from spilling its contents on him. Last thing he wanted to do was bring anything bad to his friends establishment. Yun had always talked about opening a café.
“No its no… problem? You related to Yami and Yun?” Meris stated looking at the boy in front of him. He definitely took after some of the patterns on Yami’s bowl. The half Kirin half demon blood also hinted at Yami as well.

Slightly taken aback by the abrupt question, Bolero eyed the male he'd bumped into. The blue male didn't recognize him as a regular, but that didn't really mean anything; it wasn't like he kept tabs on everyone that came into the cafe. But a random stranger asking him if he was related to specific people completely out of the blue put him slightly on guard. Especially when those people were his family.

"Ah. Are you looking for one of them for something?" Bolero asked, not really answering the question. He didn't know this noodle, and he didn't know what he wanted with his father or grandfather. On the other hand, he didn't want to be offensive either, for all he knew he was a friend. A friend neither his Dad or Grandpa mentioned.

Meris watched as the other eyed him, he supposed any good family member would be suspicious. He had just asked out of the blue about his relationships. Ah it was the downfall of hanging out with Morin he supposed. He ended up picking up some of the hermits mannerisms after hanging out with him for long periods of time. Well if the kid was related he didn’t want to cause a fight between them .
“Well I told Yun I would come by; I guess he didn’t think I would arrive so early. He was supposed to tell the family member that worked with him that I was coming… I’m Meris Aracelia. Yun and I have been friends for a long time” Meris replied. He made a note to visit more often; it was pretty bad when a good friend’s decendants, if the boy was related, couldn’t recognize you. “Sorry for the abrupt question. I guess it came out before I really thought about it.”

"Oh, I see." so the stranger was Yun's friend. "He probably meant my sister, Vanhi, she's the one that's working today. I'm supposed to have the day off, but I wanted some coffee, and Grandpa's cafe has the best. Of course, then I got suckered into singing." As usual. Really, he wasn't surprised, he always left himself plenty of time to sing a song or two when he came here, just in case.

"I think you're right about him not expecting you so soon, Mr. Aracelia. I popped in to say 'hi' and he wasn't even in there. He must be taking a break...or something." Bolero shrugged, not too worried. It wasn't the first time he'd miss his grandpa during an impromptu visit. "I'm Bolero Indra. I'm Yami's second son."

Yun had in fact mentioned Vanhi something about a vanhi but not what gender she was and Vanhi was definitely a unisex name. “Yun did always make good drinks.” Meris agreed. He also had a tendency to disappear to help some poor cat or other unfortunate being while you weren’t looking. However he hardly thought that was the case. Considering the amount of noodles Meris would venture towards the Kirin running to the store to pick up supplies or something.
“Geez that makes me feel old” Meris chuckled. Figures Yami would go to being a bowl last time he saw the squirt to being fully grown with children? “Well I’m….” Meris stopped as his next statement could have been taken the wrong way before thinking of another thing to say instead. “Glad Yun is doing well in his café at least, so you sing here? That must be rather fun, when you aren’t actually running around on your day off.”

Meris seemed to almost be talking to himself a little; not that what he was saying wasn't part of the conversation, just that his comments seemed directed more at his own thoughts than Bolero. "Yeah, he makes some pretty good pastries too, or his cook does." Come to think of it, Bolero didn't know...he'd never gone in the back to find out who made the food.

He tipped his head slightly to the side when Meris hesitated and changed whatever he was going to say, but it wasn't his place to start interrogating anyone. "He's doing pretty well outside the cafe too. I mean, he isn't sick or anything. And yes, I sing here, usually at night. I start off open mic night, so no one feels the pressure of going first, and I do concerts on the weekends." Well, 'concert' may be exaggerating a little bit, but more and more people kept coming and he had fans now. And he'd 'found' Kaito that way. Bolero smiled, "yeah, it's fun."

“Most likely Yun is the one that cooks; he mentioned he only had family working at the café. Which would be you guys” Meris replied. After all other than Yami and obviously Yami’s new family Yun had distanced himself from all his other family members. Besides it would just spell Yun, making sure that everything was perfect for his customers. He always tried to go above and beyond for other people.
Meris nodded but the phone call was a bit disconcerting. He wasn’t about to tell bolero about any problems that Yun might or might not have. It was best to stay out of family business for the most part. “Well I’m glad you’re able to do something you seem to like doing. Too many others are stuck not being able to do something they found fun. From all the singing, I’ll also assume you picked up probably your mother’s singing talent. Yun could never carry a tune to save his life. “ Meris mused as if speaking from experience in not being able to do something he enjoyed for a living.

Bolero nodded, "That makes sense. I've never actually been in the kitchen, I try to stay out of the way. Grandpa and Vanhi, and every once in a while my parents, are in charge of the food. I'm in charge of entertainment. I have bussed before though."

"Old?" Bolero asked skeptically, "You don't seem any older than Grandpa Yun, and he isn't that old." There the other noodle went hesitating again. Bolero was really re-thinking his stance on interrogating the older noodle. It wasn't his fault, he'd inherited his curiosity from his mother. "'At least'? There some problem I should know about? I know Grandpa Yun and Dad have a nasty habit of not telling the rest of us important things. It drives Mom batty." He muttered.

"Yeah, it's fun, and I always run around on my days off. I'm very much a go, go, go type of person." He had to be with the siblings he had.

Meris nodded, it was a good philosophy, stay out of what you weren’t in charge of. Normally it was stay out of what you aren’t good at, but he didnt know the younger male well enough to decide whether or not he was a bad cook.

“Well yun was about 50 when I met him and that was a while back. Supposedly Kirins like your Grandfather are part deity so they live a really long time. So while he don’t look like it wehe are pretty old.I think this is more of one of those incidents you just are going to be driven Batty. I was sworn to secrecy.” Meris teased, not mentioning that he himself was on the old side as well. Last thing he wanted to do was sic a relative on Yun when his friend didn’t want the problem shared. Yun would clam up and he’d never get a phone call about how Yun was really doing again.

“Ugh sounds tiring, but it does work for some people. I’m not keeping you from any one am I?” Meris asked remembering the boy was leaving when they bumped into each other.
