The church is extremely large, bigger than any building in the city. The are various basilicas, and chapels connected to the church. On top of the church, is a large symbol of the MOON, and worship is only at dawn, and closes when the sun is coming up in the early morn. Since the Chapels are so large, it is quite easy to find a place at the Church for some peace and quiet.

"Dam it, dam it" Renard quickly hid inside the church, alluding his pursuers. He had taken a few wrong turns trying to get back to his old home, ok, a lot of wrong turns. "I wish I had remembered to buy a bloody map" he quickly looked over the room he had entered, it seemed like no one was there "perfect". He turned towards the doors and used his powers to bend the metal so the door would not open, "why am I cursed with such bad luck" he said with a sigh.
Renard sat at the nearest seat he could find. He would have to wait a while and then try to escape unnoticed. To think all of this started over a card game.
He had been losing all night, but as he lost money he started to tell tales of the battles he had seen, and then let his name slip. For normal people this would not be that big of a deal, but with his last name being the same as an enemy kingdom, well things got out of hand, quickly.
After he had been chased through town he had manged to hide himself in a church, when he was now waiting for his chance to escape.

"Cello"

In the very back corner of the room, sat a pale figure in a pew. Her long black hair lay by her side, and her dark red eyes peering towards him. Cello hardly ever visited the church, she preferred her shrine for prayers. But she'd had the oddest of feelings, as though the moon wouldn't be there today. So she'd come to none other than the church. She had no harsh feelings towards the church, it was just... It seemed a bit off, didn't sit right under her skin. No churches really did, but occasionally, she would feel the blood return to her fingers and she'd make a short, quiet visit, not associating with anyone. She ran her hand over the dark wood of her seat, she could still feel the people who'd sat here last. They were nice folks, loyal to the moon, had good hearts and seemed to be excited for something later. A smile drifted to her lips, but before she could enjoy the feeling, she remembered that some boy, anxious she might add, had bent the metal to the doors.

She shifted her body towards him. Cello had a very nice body, even her stiff kimono could not hide it. Curves like a violin, tall and quite slender, not to mention she couldn't hide her rather large chest area. Her face was as mischievous as a pixie's, always looking like she knew something you didn't despite whether she did or not. The very way she carried her made her seem like she either had a knife or a rose in the other hand. She smiled at him, although it was more like a grin. "May I help you?" She asked, her voice ever so slightly coy, but still had a bit of humor in it.

Renard Solaria

Renard had faced the woman before him and started to worry a bit. "um.. well, hi there" he said with a hint of nervousness, "It's a pleasure to meet you and no I think I got everything covered, I'm Renard Sola...." He quickly backed away as far as he could. 'not again' he thought, ' I've got to cover up my mistake quickly', "you can just call me Renard, yep, just Renard, no last name, nope, none". Hoping he had covered up almost spilling his full name he watched her and waited, not knowing where this encounter might lead.

Cello's grin only widened, tilting her head to the side. "Renard Solaria? But if you insist Mr. Solaria, I'll call you Renard." She said, leaning against the back of the pew. She swept her hair back, narrowing her eyes like a cat. "May I ask what brings you to the church? Perhaps a need for a prayer? If you truly needed privacy to repent your sins, they have a confessions room you know, instead of binding the doors shut..." She continued, beginning to extend her long slender hand. Her skin was basically white in color, like porcelain on a doll. "But anyhow, Renard, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." She'd of course knew his name the moment he'd walked in, she could feel that much from him. You couldn't hide things from Cello, trying to do something like that was like trying to drown a fish.

Renard Solaria

Renard was stricken with shock, recovering from it he became a bit confused "no, I don't pray, just needed a place to hide, which is why I sealed the door". He smiled and calmed down, but still kept his guard up, just in case. He was half expecting her to make a move, but nothing came "so if you know my name, then why aren't you attacking me, like the rest of the towns people. Am I not an enemy to you?" he thought all people in this kingdom hated people from the solaria kingdom .

"Why would I give something as time consuming as hatred, to people I don't even know?" Cello said, popping her elbow on the back of the wooden pew, then leaning her head against her hand. She closed her eyes for a few moment before reopening them, letting them bare down on to his face. The way she stared at someone, it was unnerving, like she was seeing them nude. "Well, if people here seem to dislike you, why are you here? Is there something your after?" She asked, removing her peering eyes from him, now glancing towards the elaborately carved door. She knew the wood itself was hard, considering it had been cut with such dedication. But at the same time, she could tell that the person who had carved was dead, and only a bit of their energy lingered, weakened each year until the door would begin to show signs of weather. Her eyes turned back to him, waiting for an answer.

Renard Solaria

Renard felt a bit ashamed by what was about to say, but knew the truth would be better than some lie " truly, I came here by mistake, I took a wrong turn.... ok, a lot of wrong turns and ended up here". He thought for a second and let lose a big smile "do you know a short cut to the castle, I want to talk with the king, or queen if possible". Renard had suddenly realized that this trip to this city might be a blessing in disguise. Returning his attention back to the women in front of him "despite my name, I have no real ties to solaria, it just happened to be the kingdom I chose my last name from and my over all goal is to become a knight, so any help would be great, wait.... why am I telling a complete stranger all of this" he said laughing. He had gotten carried away like normal and forgot exactly where he was.

"Ah, well you're in bad luck then. The Queen nor King are accepting any visitors until next week." Cello had listened carefully to his explanation, knowing it was the truth, and it was odd that a stranger would open his heart to another stranger. Luckily, Cello being the owner of a shrine, she was quite used to this. A lot of people told her things they weren't necessarily proud of. "And no worries, I own the local shrine, so I'm used to keeping my mouth shut. Although, what's to be ashamed of?" She said, tapping her jaw line out of her odd need to fidget. It was a little nick of hers, not being able to stay still. Cello felt if she did, she'd be swallowed up by all the things she was told, by the living or not so living. This was part of the reason she was never a fan of the church, the church being, an organized faith. Oh how weird it was to her, belief was anything but organized, anything but written down and kept record of. It was constantly change, I mean, nothing could revolve around the same thing forever. How boring would that be? The moon and the sun would probably crash into themselves out of boredom if that was true. Cello shifted again, feeling her connection to the moon weaken slightly. She felt it's presence back at the shrine. "If you would like, we could continue this conversation back at my shrine. I'm not particularly fond of churches." Besides, she was the Queen of Lunaria, what if someone recognized her? Not that she really minded, but she wasn't really a public Queen. She didn't throw parties or anything of the sort, she was simply a kind, noble queen who remained private. In the end, anyone could recognize her... But she hardly showed up in public, so it wasn't like people were looking.

Renard Solaria

"darn, that's to bad, I was hoping to speak with them before the town hung me" he said with a laugh. Not liking churches, was something he had in common with the woman "ya it is a bit odd being in here, I don't really care for prayers or gods and stuff, this just happened to be the first place I found". He walked over to the door and in an instant the metal returned to its original shape "I would love to occupancy you, I just hope I don't cause you any trouble if people see me with you, then again they might think I'm kidnapping you" laughing, he turned back to her and gave a polite bow and moved away from the door "after you, miss" he said and waited for her to show the way.

≼ Ky Vescien ≽

"Never trust a man who can't look you in the eyes...

The journey between the marketplace and the church was not long at all, taking Ky and his newly-found companion a mere ten minutes to reach. And yet, being quick was no help-- the church was still open at that time of night, and surely it meant that other people would be able to walk in and perhaps catch the duo in an act of murder. The last thing that the demon needed was to be sent to prison, and risk being found out by his father. No, that wasn't an option, not after surviving for these many years...

"Listen, Lele, we need to be patient. And here, look," he paused for a moment, showing her the picture of the girl he was looking for, "If you ever see her leave the church before I do, you let me know, alright?" With that message across, he shoved the poster back in his back pocket, and lead the young woman into the church and into one of the back rows. Surprisingly, there weren't many attendants at all, the room empty except for a priest at the altar. It was a good sign. This was not a night for worship, no, it was a night of work and perhaps rest for the people of Lunaria.

It was just Ky's fortune-- fortune that had brought him thus far in life. To think, he would've been dead years ago had it not been for his defiant caretaker. Had it not been for his resilience, for his age. And yet he still refused to rely on chance; the demon decided that he and Lele would have to wait for the church to close, and then ambush the poor soul that had gotten herself a bounty atop her head.

This made the demon wonder. Why would anyone hold a grudge against a nun? The most common reason would be for revenge, or for an inherited wealth... but a nun? There was little she could have done. Unless she knew something, something dire, something that could compromise the reputation of the Church of Lunaria. Or perhaps some man was just angered that he had lost his potential wife to her pursuit of chastity and goodwill. There was no telling. At least, not until Ky had the opportunity to search through her mind...

"Oh, Lele?" He suddenly turned to the woman that sat at his side, realizing that it could be a long time until they would be given a chance to complete the job. May as well pass the time with idle talk of some sort; besides, if the woman did happen to come or go, he would be able to sense it. Or so he hoped. "I never told you about my ability, did I?" The demon smiled a bit, feeling slightly proud. It was a useful and sometimes dangerous skill to be able to access and mess with people's minds. Not only that, but he could levitate certain items if he concentrated enough. It wasn't something you saw every day... he hoped.

... He's bound to be hiding oblivion in his heart."

Let your soul burn as bright as a fire......

Naomi entered the gates of the kingdom, observing it's long size. It gave her chills, she did not think any person was able to make a structure so large. The streets were filled with market stalls where the people set up stands to sell objects. Her ears twitched at the sounds of pouring money, how each individual coin made an obnoxious sound. Naomi wanted to go over there to burn the gold until it was a simple ooze, but she well knew it would get her thrown out. The city wasn't fit for her, her noise issues prevented her from truly enjoying the sight before her.

Most of what she saw, was food and trinkets that resembled the moon. It was odd, how these people seemed so dedicated to a mere orb in the sky. Though she thought to herself how it would seem odd to other people how she worshiped multiple gods and some sort of fox. It wasn't just any fox, it was the one who started the whole kitsune race, Inari. Naomi let out a sigh as she thought of her home, burnt to the ground. She wanted to return there so badly. However the kitsune would not give up her revenge to find those who sent the men out to her temple. The Solaria kingdom would pay, or whatever they called themselves, and she wanted to see the absolute fear on their faces as she burned the skin off of their bones.

The villagers started at Naomi, watching her tail swish from side to side and her ears move in individual directions. She felt uncomfortable, as if they were giving her some sort of heavy judgement. She place her delicate hands on her ears as she flattened them, a way to conceal her fox appearance. Perhaps it was just the cold shoulder for being new here, and suspected strangers of some sort of wrong-doing? Nevertheless, Naomi knew she would have to find somewhere to find peace.

Before setting out for any sense of quietness, Naomi needed to sell one of her four statues to earn some currency. She wasn't sure how the system worked quite yet, but based from observations from the market everything here cost money. Most of the stands appeared to be selling more than buying, and the kitsune became frustrated as she frantically searched for any place to sell her item. It turned out that Naomi was forced to ask one of the merchants were she could sell her trinket. The kitsune approached one of the stands, a little shop that sold beautiful moon necklaces traced with silver. The owner was an old woman, hair as grey as the moon and her face wrinkled. Naomi opened her mouth to speak, "Do you know where I can sell this item..?" She pulled out the small golden fox to the woman.

The woman's face changed from the groggy appearance to complete shock. As if she has never seen gold as pure as the fox bestowed upon her. "How much are you willing to sell that beautiful item for?" The woman asked, and gave off a begging tone. Naomi could tell she wanted that item, maybe even trade the whole stall for it. However she needed money rather then a merchant place, and she was going to get it. "What do you think it's worth is?" Naomi asked with a curious voice. She didn't know how much she could get out of this item, nor the pricing system of the town. The woman moved her wrinkled hands to under her stall, where she pulled out a large bag. She opened it to reveal golden coins that carefully laid upon each other. "Two thousand gold for that. Nothing more." Naomi instantly handed over the statue and placed the bag into her own and left the stall.

As she traveled through the mass city she came upon a large structure. Not as big as the one centered within the city, but it seemed more well built and taken care of. She noticed a moon symbol written upon the church, and the stainless glass that some of the light shone through. She walked up to the building, slowly opening the wooden door. The place was filled with seats and a large shrine dedicated completely to the moon. It seemed that there were people already settling themselves in the back and to the left. It was a man accompanied by a woman, one that appeared more pale then Naomi was. She almost looked like a ghost, with her hair as white as snow and her eyes gave off a pinkish color. The man was handsome, and Naomi's stomach tightened at the sight of him. His eyes burned crimson red, alike the kitsune's and his face was covered in strange markings. Naomi wasn't the one for starting a conversation so she placed herself in one of the seats farthest away from the two, and closed her eyes. Images flowed through her head, some of her mother giving her a sweet smile as she awoke Naomi every morning, and others of the beautiful scenery were she once lived. A warm tear slid down her pale cheek as she sat there, thinking of her troublesome past. She wanted to cry her eyes out, but considering the people not to far from her, Naomi had no intentions of embarrassing herself. Kumi nuzzled Naomi's face, as if she were trying to soak the grief into her fur. "Thanks..." Naomi let out in a soft tone.

Innocence lost one crimson night

═━┈⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┈━═

Lele was lead once again by her new ally. She couldn't help but stare at the back of his head through-out the journey to the church. It felt like hours, but in reality it only took about ten minutes. Her mind was somewhere else letting thoughts and imagination get the better of her. In the ten minutes it took to get to the church she had come up with an elaborate plan to do some random thing she had always wanted to do. She had seen other children do it the other day and felt sad that she, as a child, could not attempt it. The game of hopscotch seemed rather entertaining. She would have to ask Ky about it sometime, but in a way that wouldn't make her seem too childish.

The large cathedral stood before them. As Lele averted her eyes from her staring point on the back of Ky's head when he turned to face her. Bringing her eyes up to his to seem like she hadn't been staring at him. She took in what he said to her. Nodding lightly she understood what he meant. Though she doubted she would find her before he did. She had a knack for spacing out. Patience, however, was not one of her strong suits either. Now that she thought about it; the only thing she ever tried doing was hiding and sneaking due to that being necessary through most of her childhood.

The only person, other than themselves, in the church was the priest. She had never seen such a strange outfit worn by someone before. It puzzled her how it would be comfortable to trudge around in such a lofty robe. Bringing her attention to the chair before she missed the seat entirely she caught herself on the end of the seat. That was close... she thought hoping he didn't see her clumsy moment. Letting herself get comfortable she scooted back in the seat so her back was against the wooden part of the long bench.

Lele jumped a little when she heard Ky speak to her. She thought it would be him commenting on her almost missing the chair so she was surprised when he asked if he had shown her his ability. Blinking a bit taking it what he just said she was a bit confused. Then in a revelation she remembered she wasn't the only one with abilities; although her parents were perfectly normal humans. Looking at him she replied "I don't think I have...". She was a little scared and excited to see his ability. Hoping it wouldn't involve herself getting hurt for the demonstration.

In Lele's peripheral vision her eyes caught the movement of a tail. Wait...a tail? she questioned her vision. Talking a quick look to see what it was; it was in fact a tail. This lady had a tail and a fox? maybe as a companion. Her clothes were rather traditional and again with the long trudging thing. Lele preferred clothes that you could move quickly in. When the lady turned Lele caught a glimpse of her face. She was beautiful; hypnotizingly so. Prying her eyes from the lady she turned her attention back to Ky to see his ability he seemed so proud about.

"Never trust a man who can't look you in the eyes...

Lele was perhaps lucky Ky hadn't caught her clumsy misstep in time, but he did notice her initially startled expression when he called for her attention. It made him wonder, but not long enough to delay... "Here, hold my hand." He smiled a bit, taking one of the woman's hands in his own, looking into her eyes for a brief moment. "Now close your eyes, relax. Don't worry, I won't hurt you." Had this been another man's show, his amazing skill might be in charismatic kisses... but Ky had something even better.

When Lele had let her mind clear, he started to paint an illusion for her. At first it was just a field, a meadow of yellow flowers, with a slight breeze in the air. Then there was beautiful birdsong permeating the area, and fluffy clouds everywhere. There was a festival in the distance, the sound of faraway laughter and merriment drifting onto the scene. It was a happy, bubbly place, and if Lele was not defensive it would feel just as real as it looked.

But eventually, the scene slowly faded to black, and Ky let go of her hand. He smiled a bit, "That's just the start of it." With a bit of a smirk, the demon lifted one of his hands as if he were a puppet-master. Instantly, a bible that had been in the nook of the pew in front of them started to float, flipping its pages and settling itself just in front of Lele. It was fun to levitate objects, especially to prank people.

However, things went slightly wrong this time around. The priest at the front of the church shouted in shock upon seeing the floating book, his mind giving off a strong signal of fear, which caused Ky to lose his concentration and sent the thick book flying towards the back. Naomi just happened to be two inches away from its path, rather fortunately not hit. "Oh, damn it, not again!" He started to get up from his seat, wondering who he should apologize to first...

... He's bound to be hiding oblivion in his heart."

Let your soul burn as bright as a fire......

Naomi saw in the corner of her eye the white woman stare at her for a brief second, as if she was hypnotized by the kitsune's appearance. Though Naomi did not think that she was attractive in the least bit, her mother always told her every day of how beautiful she is. How she looked so much like her father with her blonde hair. Her eyes resembled more of her mother, for she claimed that her father's eyes were as blue as the rivers that flowed nearby the shrine. That pale complexion of hers matched that of Ayaka's and the thought of how she shared so many characteristics stung her head. The bear thought of her mother being so alike her in each made her cringe. She would never look at herself in the mirror again in fear of seeing her mother...

As soon as the woman turned away, Naomi felt a release of relief off of her chest. She did not plan on staying in the church long due to the fact that she still hadn't found a place where she could be by her lonesome. She truly wasn't by herself, Kumi stuck by her side even through the worst, and never abandoned her when their home was destroyed. Naomi gave her cream colored head a pat and Kumi looked up to her, showing some brightness in her eyes. Even though she experienced much of what Naomi did, Kumi never once showed loneliness or sadness. Despite what hardships the two went through, they still had each other.

Naomi turned her attention to the two once again, as the man took the woman's hands into his. From where she was sitting, Naomi could see him focus as he held her hands. This did quite in fact spark the kitsune's interest. What was he doing that required him to hold her hands? Perhaps he was creating some sort of magic. As soon as he let go of her hands, he moved them in an odd manner, like as if he was trying to control something with it. Her red eyes widened as the bible floated above the two, and the priest shouted at the man. Naomi covered her ears in the loud raspy tone that the priest spoke in. While this happened she heard the man complain and shout towards Naomi's direction. Before the bible reached within five feet of her, she looked at it and it burst into flames and then instantly to ashes. Naomi's eyes widened in fear as she watched each individual ash fall to the seat.

Though what was there that most people saw, Naomi only saw the burst of flames as another man being slaughtered by her immense power. Yet it was just a mere book that was burned. Her ears flattened in shame of herself. She felt overwhelmed with the feeling that the man tried to harm her in some way. However he did approach her in the manner of apologizing to Naomi, she did not trust him. Maneuvering her feet , she slid a bit further away from both of them. "I-I'm sorry...y-you just startled me..I swear," Naomi managed to choke out. She couldn't quite explain why her sudden reactions to pain always ended in fire, and she hated it.
