C o l o r i s t..requirements ~Hiring is now on a rolling basis; it will remain open here in the event guild.
I need reliable, sociable, team players. Reliable: I need responsibility. I need to know you can commit to this project and make sure I am aware if something pops up and you are aware of what you can handle. Sociable: I like to see staff in the thread, chatting, answering questions... managers are well and good, but more eyes are better. Team player: Make an effort to at least communicate and possibly make friends with the current staff. Working together makes the shop run smoother.
Overview ::
you get to keep 100% of profit, except for auctions (85-95%) and raffles (90%)
you have freedom over your schedule, past experience has taught me 'requirements' are useless.
that said; I have restrictions on customs and appreciate knowing if you'll be disappearing on me.
I like to see 3-5 pets per coloring event: sale, customs, freebies, etc.
I am a little fussier during large events, but we don't do many any more.

A p p l i c a t i o n..hints ~Applicants are required to color three gladiers. No more, no less. You are welcome to apply multiple times if we turn down your application; but please wait, at the very least, one full month between postings. I need to see significant improvement on your next attempt. If you are hired, application ghosts will be placed on real lines for your first sale, so please don't make plans for them.
Here are some suggestions for those who hope to color for me~
Hints ::
use coloring basics: do not abuse brushes. Color the lines and the shading. Show some grasp of color theory/harmony.
if you want full editing permissions, I require a hair edit. I suggest a clothing edit and a base edit as well.
if your edits do not match the line and shading style, you'll have better luck showing me how amazing your coloring is.
edit help~ word for word from Ruisuu, the artist who made the templates: "Use a 3pt round brush with pressure sensitivity; don't press too hard. The shading is done with this method."

Answers ::
Do I need to know what is going on in the thread/be involved/be social?
Yes, please. If you are around, stop in and say hi. We try to maintain a friendly, relaxed, accessible atmosphere. And I appreciate all staff being willing and able to answer questions.
What does running our own sales include? Do you somehow dictate that?
Not anymore! It never worked out well. The shop has established prices for eveything, but if you like running speed sales or dice sales instead of, say, flaffles; go ahead. Just give 24 hour warning prior to the sale so people know to be there.
When we are running our own games, are there themes?
The shop has a loosely celestial theme if that helps you, but we don't have themes for the games. There is an archival thread in the staff forum of copy/paste formats for common games and all event games are archived if you wish to review and revive the ideas.
What do you mean by full time, part time, edit, non-edit, guest, etc?
After long years in the B&C... I am tired of dancing around categorizing, honestly. The breakdown here at S*C is currently artists who edit, colorists who don't edit, and guest artists. Guest artists are friends of staff who are bored with their shops and want to play with a new template, honestly. You can't apply to be a guest, nor am I continuing any distinction between full-time and part-time staff. If I hire you, you are staff. My own schedule is crazy and I am a huge proponent of real life first, I won't be the one to hold anyone to some crazy online 'job' schedule that pays in pixels. Now if you disappear without word for months, I'll probably just remove your name from the front page after three unanswered PMs... but if you post in the thread or drop me a PM, it really isn't a big deal. Life happens.
Do I need to be able to cert?
Nope! We have an absolutely fabulous certist. However, I will ask you to force pets upon her [or split your profits with her] periodically. Just to be sure she knows we love her and appreciate the insane amount of time she puts in!
