With his nose to the ground Kaspar wandered around sticking in his nose in random holes and tipping rocks over so he could see what was under them. Nothing. He snorted in disapproval. He didn't find a single thing today and that annoyed him so much. "How can this be?" He flipped another rock. "Nothing!" Sighing he lifted his head as his ears twitched. "I guess I can try the marshes." He headed his way over to the wetlands.

In the shallows, Cataleya laid there peacefully. Her tail swaying gently underneath the waters of the marsh. Her head resting on some grass mixed with moss that was sitting by the edge of the water. Closed eye lids as she was resting them, just listening to the tranquility of her surroundings. The sun warmed her back through what could escape through twisted trees, placing a small smile across her muzzle. Home. She could never get tired of it.
"Kaiulu. . .your too quiet. What are you up too dear sister?"
No response.
"Kaiulu?"
Lifting her head off the soft ground. Cataleya opens her eyes & surveys her surroundings. Her sister wasn't around. Frowning slightly, Kaiulu must of thought she was asleep & wandered off somewhere. Cataleya was alone.

Passing by some of the marshes placing his lantern at the edge so he didn't get it wet. He didn't want to know what would happen if he put it in water, his light might go out and he would be so sad.
Putting one hoof at a time he put himself in the water slightly splashing because he thought it was fun. Trying to hoof the small minnows that swam around. "I'mma getcha!" He told one kicking his hoof hard down to the squishy wetland ground. "Guess not." Looking up something caught his sight. Was it someone new? Now, this was interesting! "H-hello~!" He called out smiling.

Her ears perk up quickly. It was another voice. Someone was near by. Looking around she soon spots where the voice came from. It was another hind. Cataleya slowly rose up onto all fours. The water slides down her body. Her scales gleam. She held her head high & strong. Showing she was not afraid of no one.
"Can I help you?"
Striding on the other side of the water from where he was, she grew closer. She notices his lantern, it was quite interesting to see. Shifting her glance from the lantern she looks back at him.

"Um! No! Actually, I am good. I was just saying hello. I never seen you around before and I have seen quite a for others before. But, you're brand new to me!" He smiled now staying in places and examining her up and down, side by side. "Wow! You're so pretty!" He exclaimed as his tail wagged slowly. She had a lot of beads everywhere on her head and she even had a beautiful necklace that caught his eye. "What is that?" He asked her curiously. Pointing his nose at it.

A smirk plays across her muzzle as she hears his compliment. Like her ego wasn't getting any bigger this certainly did not help add to it. Cataleya shakes her head slightly to toss all her hair from her mane to the right side. Some wet strains stuck to her neck. He seem to be quite the chatterbox then again she really didn't socialize with others, just not use to it. Eying him some, she wondered if he would be fun to play with.
"I reside here only, I rarely travel outside the wetlands."
Blinking a few times she looks at him pointing down at her pendant. Taking a step back, she was very protective over it & feared of him taking it.
"It's none of your concern"
She spoke harshly while looking at him, narrowing her eyes. Looking away from him, she moves closer to him, in a half circle motion. Now it was her turn to check him out more thoroughly.

"Oh! That's strange, I never thought that others actually just stayed in one place. Most of the ones I met are travelers. I have a home not too far from here, I live in a bush!" He said proudly. "I like to go adventuring during the day and sometimes at night if I have the courage to." He blinked as he was surprised of her reaction about her pendant. He didn't mean to offend her or anything. "I-I-I am sorry! I didn't mean it to be offensive! It's just really pretty~. I collect things and I love shiny things. I find things all over the land, I never seen a pretty thing that shiny. I am envious, that is all. It's hard to find things that are not covered in gunk." He nodded at himself.
He smiled again at her hoping that she wasn't going to leave because of his question, then his eyes followed her as she started to get closer. His scales glowing bright now out of nervousness. Smog started forming around him. He chuckled, "What are you doing now?" He stepped back a little.

"It's safer here. Most tend to stay to themselves here."
Cataleya found it weird that he was so proud to live in a bush. She didn't think that was something to take pride in. Now she was a bit confused, as she listened to him, apologizing but explaining he's a collector. They way he spoke, should she be cautious that he might take her pendant.
Cataleya stops, He didn't seem as normal as she thought. Noting the glowing scales & smog forming around him. Did he have other abilities? Cataleya could be messing with a hind that could out beat her in skills.
"Interesting. . .your indeed very interesting"

"Thank you!" Kaspar was happy that he was actually found interesting. Most other hind thought he was silly or weird. Unless, they were his friends they actually liked him the way he was. "I can see that things can be safer here...Except... I would worry about things that would eat you." He nodded. "I am always scared that something big and ugly will come out of the water with huge sharp teeth, growling, with big glossy eyes come to eat you because you smell delicious. That is why I come to eat over here but then I go back home. Or! I collect shiny rocks. They are so pretty." He let his tail hang down now, the tip touching the water. "You never leave the marsh?" He asked curiously.

She couldn't help but snicker a bit. For thanking her & for the fact that the hind did have a point about others trying to eat you. But if you weren't familiar with the area & where certain creatures reside within the mash you wouldn't have a problem with it. It was more amusing to her as what she & her sister do is sometimes considered scary. But she would just keep that to herself now.
"No. Unless extreme rare moments that I need too"
Cataleya completes the circle around him. Swaying her tail a bit before curling it, she moves closer to him.
"So what's the deal with you glowing?"

Kaspar's head followed her as she was walking about. He liked her, she seemed to nice, she didn't talk as much as he did but that was okay, that never stopped him. He smiled at her as she chuckled. Oh! He must have said something funny. His tail wagged in happiness. "Huh?" He looked down at his scales. "You mean these?" He put on of his legs up in the front. "I was actually born like this!" He laughed loudly. "I don't know why I do I just do! I make for some good light in the night, it's hard to get lost when you're with me since you can see everything you need to see! And! My lantern also helps that case." He nodded. "Do you grow those things on your hair?" He asked curiously. He has seen them before but they were not in someone's hair.

"No. .My dear sister made it for me. . ."
She only answered him to humor him as she examines his scales more. Cataleya looks over to his lantern as he mention it. So that's what it was. To help see & guide through the night's darkness. Looking back at his scales, she glances down at her own for a moment before looking back up at him again.
"What about that fog?"
She hoped it was fog, now that she thought about it. It could of been gas as she has stumbled across some who have horrible flatulence. It could be something else too, which she more hoped for if it wasn't fog.

"That is really nice of her, it's very pretty." He nodded then cocked his head with a questionable look. "Does she live with you? And if she does where is she at?" He poked the water with his nose and took a sip before looking back at her.
"You know..." He chuckled. "It only comes out of me when I am nervous, well, at least when it comes out a lot. I don't know what it is. But, it works at a defense when I am in trouble. It can get pretty think." He turned himself around wondering if that would help her see what she wanted to see. "What can you do? Anything fun?" He was excited to ask that since he was curious if she had any abilities. He had come across others with things that he never understood and things they were able to do that he couldn't. It always made him so jealous.

"She is else where in the Marsh. I don't care for others going near her."
Whenever it came to her dear sister, regardless of what it was, she would always be protective of her. Out of the two of them Cataleya was the stronger one. She looks away from him while listening to him about the fog only happening when he's nervous. He should learn how to control it, she thought. It could benefit him better if so. She smirks to herself as he asked about if she could do anything herself. Keeping her glance at the water while her ear twitches slightly.
"Have you heard from the guardians speak of tales of creatures called Sirens that live in water. they allure others to them by the beauty of song. You are stuck within a trance so strong, your practically under their spell. Some tales speak of these creatures drowning their captives down with them."
Looking back at him now, her head tilted up slightly.
"I can do such things. . .but to only an extend."
Cataleya's eyes shown disappointment that she couldn't be as powerful as these creatures in the tales.

Kaspar was in awe, he didn't have anything amazing about him. He wished he has some magical like powers...Maybe something that would help him find things easier and quicker. Then his hoard would be something to be proud of. He nodded as he did recall hearing something about it before but he never really understood it really. "There is something I don't understand about that..." He started as he thought for a moment what it was. "I heard stories about it but what is the reason for that? What is the reason to get someone close enough to drown them?" Concerned was placed on his face. "Can't you sing pretty and make friends instead?"
