Sciophobia's eyes darted around, his heart fluttering at an ever increasing rate. He had got away... at least he hoped he had... that evil Kalona had been cruel and harsh, and Sciophobia was sure he would have nightmares forever. The shadows were so mischievous, horrible and taunting... why wouldn't they just leave him alone? Why couldn't he just be left alone? He looked up at the sun, he liked the sun, it glowed brightly and warmly and made his pelt feel lovely and warm. It was such a shame that he always slept when it was up... less shadows. He settled down in a nest like structure he had used his hooves to make... he wanted to cry, his head hurt, his heart raced and he wasn't sure he would be able to sleep today. Would the pain never end? Would the evil of the world never leave him alone?
Vibrance had been wandering herself though she had not been having much luck recovering her memories she had gained enough back that she was no longer questioning what her name was. She had stirred when it was still dark, she never seemed to sleep for long or well, there was an awareness that she was alone, a keen loss that this wasn't how it should have been, though she had no idea if she missed, mate, family or herd. So as the sun rose she was wandering through the trees, the morning sunlight painting her in even more colours and bringing her natural colours out in a dazzle of colour to rival the sunrise.

Scio had closed his eyes when he heard movement, he instantly jumped up, body and eyes turning and scanning anywhere, his hooves scuffing on the ground as he nervously paced... what was that sound? Had the shadows come for him? That Kalona? Would they hunt him now? Should he.... he paused, his mouth falling open.... the sun? The sun was walking towards him! His heart skipped a beat. The colours, the dazzle... it was if he could already feel the heat as the colours danced and sparkled. So much light! He was mesmerized and it took him an entire minute before he even managed to compose himself enough, blinking he blushed -thankful that his colouring hid the colour- what was the sun doing here? He looked up... saw it still in the sky, but even as he looked down at the magnificent creature he knew she was one and the same.
"I.... I.... you're.... beautiful...." He stuttered.
Vibrance paused having jumped a little herself when the stallion jumped up, having tried to be quiet thinking he was asleep. blushing prettily, adding to her colours and looking off to the side, her hooves shuffling a little, not sure what to say to what finally tumbles from the stallions mouth. If he saw her as the sun he was night, all shadows and beautiful mystery. After all the night had its own beauty. Looking at her mismatched hooves a little, murmuring. "Thank you..." Not being sure what else to say.

Scio nodded and shuffled... he could see the mare, the sun, was uncomfortable... who wouldn't be around him? And he didn't know what to do.... but oddly enough he was drawn closer, his hooves moving of their own accord. He wanted to be closer to the sun, wanted to be closer to the beautiful shadow-less thing before him... why couldn't everything be so simple? Right now he wasn't afraid at all... the sun kept the shadows away! Held back the darkness. A power that he longed to have but would never possess. He forced his hooves to stop, his head lowering to the ground... she wouldn't be interested in getting closer to him. What was he thinking! Purity and beauty was everything and he was.... nothing. Darkness. Empty. He looked around, fear clearly in his eyes even as he gulped. "I'll... not disturb you more...." He mumbled even lower an apology, "Sorry..."
That surprised her, her mismatched eyes blinking at him in clear shock, her cheeks and nose still lightly pink. "Why are you sorry?" Lowering her nose to look him in the eye, her head tilted a little showing her confusion. The awkwardness vanishing as quickly as it came, at least for now.

Scio paused at her reply, turning to look at her with curiosity. He opened his mouth then closed it... was she really trying to get him to stay? Or should he just keep going? He turned to look at the forest... the shadows lurking actually made him cringe and had his eyes darting back to the sun on earth. He gulped and decided he would stay with her as long as she would allow. Her beauty, her grace.... the odd quirky characteristics, as if there was so much beauty to capture that her body tried to capture all of them at once. Her eyes drew him in even more. "I...." His voice faltered so he gulped, forcing down his pain and the embarrassment before speaking again; "For making you... uncomfortable. I know what I'm like... I creep people out... and the shadows..." His eyes darted around, fear clearly lighting up the purple. "They are everywhere, they whisper things... and want me.... I.... don't wish to taint the Sun itself." He gulped and looked up at her apologetically. "I could never be forgiven for that...." He admitted.
The sun... He thought she was the sun! Her cheeks warmed more, her eyes twinkling as she lifted her head and giggled a little, smiling at him. Looking at the shadows as he did and shook her head. "You didn't creep me out, you just surprised me when you jumped up.... and.... uhhh." She was blushing really badly now, murmuring softly so it was really hard to hear. "I don't remember ever being called beautiful before..." Her hooves shuffling a little again, blushing, her wings shifting too, tucking in close.

Scio tilted his head at her words and smiled, his teeth shining brightly against his black pelt. "Really? Then... I'm... I'm... honoured! To be the first I mean. For you are.... beautiful I mean.... very..." Everything about her was, the blush was adorable, and he just wanted to roll around in it and see what else would make her blush. It highlighted the brightness of her pelt, the delicate nature of her structure. He looked at her wings, like an angel.... obviously she needed them to be able to fly back up to the sky. He looked up and asked curiously. "Is it hot up there?" Scio had wings, but he couldn't actually fly.... stupid him, his mother hadn't stuck around to teach him, his father hadn't stuck around, could he blame him? Sometimes Scio feared the shadows had got them both, not that he had ever seen either of them again. He shook his head and then looked to the ground... but it was dark down there so he looked at her instead. So much better to look at her. Maybe he could remember her forever, maybe her image alone would fight away the shadows? He could only hope.
She giggled again, she couldn't help it, he was adorable, she wasn't sure why she thought that but something about how he was acting was making her want to give him a hug and wrap him in her wings. She looks up at the sky at his question, the colours starting to fade to the blue of a normal day.* "I don't know...." She couldn't fly either, looking at her wings and folding them tightly. "High places scare me...." Terrify might be a better way of putting it, she didn't know why, but the thought of being high up made her heart rate run rampant and her breathing to become panicked. She glanced at a bird that fluttered away past them and gulped, looking a little ill at the thought of lifting her hooves off the ground.

Scio, although it was highly inappropriate, grinned at her reply.... at least until he realised what he had done and cleared his throat and looked away shyly. What a fool he was! He shouldn't be pleased that she didn't know either! Was he so eager for someone, anyone really, to have the same problems as him that he would grin at another's problems? He shook his head, his hair falling over his eyes as it cascaded down to the ground like a waterfall. For a moment he stayed completely silent. Then he decided he had to try.... though it wasn't exactly something he was used to doing. Running as far and as fast as he could was more his style. "That's ok though... I hear there is lots of things to down here... I mean...." He blushed again and looked up at her through his hair. "I don't actually know... I just run.... I'm good at running.... yes I am... the shadows never catch me, I'm too fast.... but hat Kalona... he... he caught me..." He cringed at the memory. "Worked for the shadows he was, too quick, too quick. Nasty creature..." He was rambling and knew it so he forced himself to go silent, mumbling another; "Sorry."
"Don't be sorry, there's no reason to be sorry.... I don't know if I'm good are running.... I don't remember having pushed myself to run as fast as I can..." Not feeling the need to tell him of her troubles and the fact she was badly hurt when her memory really begins. Smiling at him and giving a shrug and blushing. "Maybe I'll try it sometime..." Glancing at his 'nest' getting the idea she had disturbed him, wondering if she should leave him to what he was doing.

Scio blinked in surprise at her, she didn't know... haphazardly he said slightly wobbly; "You... you don't know much about yourself... do you?" He gulped loudly! Wait! What had he just done.... crap crap crap! He looked around and shuffled nervously. "I mean... I never... the Sun isn't expected to know that... stuff... you're... you.... are... fine the way you are...." Gulps.
The wings on her head drooped a little, he was right, she knew very little about herself but nodded in response, he was right, she knew little to nothing about herself. Her memories were not coming back as fast as she might have hoped, maybe there was nothing to remember. Sighing softly but perking herself up, it wasn't his fault, besides he was trying to be nice about putting his hoof on the truth, he didn't know and that was ok. "Please don't be sorry for this, its not something you need to be sorry for."

Scio nodded, "I... I shouldn't have said that." He grumbled, unsure and uncertain all over again. He was not very good in social situations, didn't exactly have any sense of etiquette and what was 'right', after all he ran before pausing to actually converse with others... and most were the creatures of the shadows! He hated the shadows, feared them... even now they lurked, threatened to come closer... but he was with the sun! And he wanted to see the Sun's brilliance once again, watch her shine again, see her smile light up her face and the blush highlight her features.... but how? How did he achieve that? He gulped and looked up through his hair once more. "Can we.... I mean... would you.... would you like to join me?" He shook his head, that didn't come out right. "I mean to go and eat.... maybe that will... eh... help you smile? There was some lovely berries near, I had some for supper.... and I think I smelt apples... or pears... I always get them mixed up." And he was officially rambling again, it was swiftly becoming a habit around the guy. He gulped and shook his head once more, making his hair dance around him. "I mean... would you like that? Or should I... just... eh... leave you be? I didn't mean to break the sun." He wanted to cry, his eyes sad at the idea of damaging something so precious and wonderful as the sun. "The Sun deserves to always smile. To dance in the light, and bathe in the heat and harmony of the world. I'd like to see you dance.... I bet it would be.... " He stopped talking, no word could describe what he thought it would be like. Magnificent. Wonderful. Exquisite.
She looked around having passed a place not far back that would probably make him happy. her eyes scanning the trees, smiling at him. "Come with me, I want to show you where the sun lives." Well that's what it looked like to her, tilting her head in the direction she wanted to go, perking right up and moving lightly on her feet, her hair bouncing and floating around her in the light.

Scio tilted his head and considered her for a moment, "Show me where the Sun lives?" Was she about to tell him a secret? Maybe show him where he coudl go to avoid the shadows, to finally be safe and happy and protected? He would follow her, likely anywhere if it gave him even a moments reprieve from the voices and curses in his own mind. "Ok." He said softly, nodding as he set off after her. He noticed the way her hair bounced... there was so very much of it... but unlike his own unsightly dark locks hers was light and breezy, springing and wonderful. He blew his long locks out of his eyes as he took note of where they were, his muscles were tired after a long day of running but he could manage for a little longer before tiredness consumed him completely. It had been a while since he had gone more than twenty-four hours without any sleep.
Vibrance looked back at him as she lead him, Finally reaching the end of the path through the trees, having picked a wide one so there was more light for him. Moving out the way as she got to the edge of the small lake, the sun dancing over the water, for now it was all bright dazzling light and sparkles. She looked at him as she stands, letting him absorb it all.

Scio looked past her every now and then, wondering if he had made a mistake, if he was being tricked... was this all a new tactic of the shadows? Yet even as he thought it he knew it wasn't right, that it didn't fit with the oddly matched mare before him. No, he believed she was being honest.... and when they finally broke through the tree line to the open land before them he froze. The sun sparkled and danced on the waters surface producing two, making it double. It glistened and lit up the grass, warming everything in that unique way of its. It was strange how right he felt here, how the shadows seemed controlled and far away. He glanced to the ground, and saw what he thought were old tracks.... but they were long abandoned. Did they belong to the Sun beside him? "Do you have a name?" He wondered, the thought escaping as actual words before he could stop himself. Surely 'Sun' was simply the name they had given the glowing entity over the years, but what did it call itself?
Vibrance looked vaguely surprised at his question, smiling shyly and looking back out over the water and the sparkling. "Vibrance.... I call myself Vibrance..." Well is she wanted to be picky its what the one that had healed her had called her but that would require more of an explanation. She turned and looked out over the water, the sun dancing over her colours and pelt, her eyes twinkling with it, as were the jewelry she wore on her wings. The air a soft breeze making the feather in her mane and the paintbrush in her tail flutter. She was all sparkling and soft movement, almost like she was dancing without even moving.

Scio nodded at that, then became mesmerised by the sparkling colours of her pelt... she really was the sun! Her skin was like diamonds! He wanted to get closer, wanted to see it all, feel it below his nose as he nuzzled it... but he shook himself and looked at the ground. Who was he kidding? He should leave her now before he corrupted her. A terrible thought occurred to him and he turned suddenly, fear lacing every cell of his body as he stared at the forest.... shadows... he could see them!! They were staying back though, held by the presence of the Sun, by Vibrance. Unable to stop himself he stepped closer to her, his rump accidentally crashing with hers.
Her head came round fast, her hair mingling with his, seeing he had just bumped into her as he moved. Giggling softly and blushing. "Are you ok? Her voice warm and bubbly as she smiles at him. Thinking that so close it was more obvious that she and he were almost total opposites. Not seeming to mind him being close or showing any fear of tainting or any other kind of harm from him.

Scio glanced at her, nerves wrecked and his body shaking. "The shadows..." He stated... "Must keep the shadows away." He close his eyes, forcing himself to step away, to move away from her. He had only ever got close to one mare before and that had been a long time ago on a dark night where the demons around him had haunted him to the brink of his sanity. She had calmed him, helped him through it.... he never found out what happened to her, for soon he had started running once more.... why he was thinking of her now he wasn't sure, she was the total opposite of Vibrance, from what he could remember she was blue and small, Vibrances wings made her look much larger than she was... while both beautiful nothing could ever compare to the sun, could it? They all just paled in comparison.
She nods and smiles, looking around, noticing the darkness under the trees growing as the sun rises. "I think if we stay near the water they wont get us... " She didn't sound totally sure, after al lshe new little to nothing about shadows, but she had no fear of the shadows, not like high places, so if he was afraid of them she would try to reassure him. Smiling at him and his unusual eyes, as odd in some ways as her own. Leaning down and taking a drink of the water, not sure what else to say to him. Though her head shot up and she looked at him, eyes wide and a little guilty.
"What's your name?" Her cheeks a little pink again and ducking in embarrassment at not having asked sooner.

Scio hoped she was right, and moved closer to the water as if it would save her... but three suns! The one in the sky, the one hidden below the water and the one beside him... she had to be right, right? Even if she didn't seem to know for sure. He liked the like, it was so much brighter than the darkness. When she asked his name, her cheeks flared up the most adorable pink and he grinned. "I like that...." he commented, then his eyes widened as he realised what he said, "I mean... you're beautiful all the time... it's just... when... I...." He gulped and shook his head, his hair once more falling over his face. "Sciophobia...."
Blushing more as he complements her feeling a little flutter in her tummy. "Sciophobia.... What an unusual name, so soft.. Murmuring his name a few more times, it sounding soft and almost musical when she said it like that. Nodding and smiling softly at him. "I like it, its lovely." Her feathery wings shifting, folding up more again.

Scio blinked and stared at her in surprise. "You....you like it?" He tilted his head as he looked at her through his hair. She was an oddity and confused him! Still he smiled at her, he rather liked that she liked it! It made him feel.... special. "Thank you." It was odd, this whole situation was odd... and he didn't really know what to make of it all. He thought for a moment then asked, "What do you do you do for fun?"
She smiles more at him and shakes her head. "I don't know, I've been traveling a lot, not gotten to know many people really well... Not much time for fun..." Feeling very awkward about blurting out something like 'Hey I lost my memory, hope you don't mind.' Looking at him again, seeing his weariness, thinking she might have disturbed his sleep, but she would leave it to him to say, she didn't want it to seem like she was wanting to leave.
