March 1st is a global Self Injury Awareness Day. The colour for SIAD is orange. Some people display an orange ribbon, but in the past, bracelets have also been worn: - Orange beads if you self harm; - Orange and white if you used to; - White if you have never self harmed but understand. http://www.selfharm.orghttp://www.selfinjury.comIf you or a loved one have struggled with SI in the past, please share the tips and resources that have aided on the road to recovery in a reply to this post.

Smart Alex Amens This is very good. I will make sure to walk around with an orange bracelet march first. Good good! Have you ever received treatment for your Self Injury? Is there anything that you do now to prevent yourself from SI? Nope. I try to get help though. I usually just think that I cant show a scarred arm and spring is nearing...

I've never heard of that before. Self-injury is a horrible thing, and it is becoming incresingly common and therfore should be recognised.
I won't be wearing beads, for fear someone will actually recognise it (though it's unlikely). Though I don't know if I'd wear orange or orange and white, either. I had a sort of relapse and I don't know if I've stopped. xp

Amens Nope. I try to get help though. Oh, that's rough. I saw on another thread that you can't get help quickly in your health system. I hope you are able to get the help you need soon! Hang in there! M is for M+Ms I don't know if I'd wear orange or orange and white, either. I had a sort of relapse and I don't know if I've stopped. If I were you, I'd be optomistic and wear orange and white! What helped you stop SI? LuckieDuckie I will make sure I wear orange on March 1st. Thanks! Have you ever gotten treatment for your SI?

I drive to my favorite spot in the woods (No one knows my spot!) and scream. I shout and cry and do everything to relieve my stress. It really works. Then I drive to this little place in the backwoods and get pit barbecue and ice cream. The owners know me, since there's only like three customers that ever go there. I love it!
