 The day was hot and young. Brooke was hard at work, attempting to dig her a way for a river flow. That's what this day was missing! a nice, cool, relaxing river!

 Krishta hissed at the invader in his tall grass. "This one violates my land..." He got closer to her. He watched her digging.

Brooke hummed softly to herself as she continued to work, unaware of someone or something watching her.

Krishta called his snake friends and the slithered into her view.
"Maybe this will stop her."

The hissing sounded in her ears and she looked up from her digging to find the crawlers coming to her.
"Ohhh! Snakes!!!" She smiled as she halted for the moment. She didn't even seem frightened of the serpents.

He was now frustrated! He jumped out of the tall grass.
"Why must you dig in my territory?!"

Brooke blinked at him. She hadn't known this was claimed territory.
"One must prepare the river to flow through. It's missing a water source of free flowing water. I'm sorry. I didn't know this was claimed land."

"Why do you wish to add water here? What is your name?" He eyed her suspiciously.

"Brooke and everything needs water. It helps the grasses grow making it perfect for hiding in."
She smiled softly at him.

"I am Krishta. I see. I will give permission for you to finish." He hissed and the snakes went back to their homes.

She continued digging for a while more. The sooner a river could flow, the sooner trees and grasses would grow, aiding in hiding for snakes and other things.
"Are you part snake?" She asked, trying for casual conversation.

She smiled as she worked and moved to a new spot to dig.

She looked at him and smiled. "If you'd like too. There's an extra shovel somewhere near the holes."
