Mitsu stood in front of the door of the uptown apartment, shaking softly. He hadn't been here in three years. He didn't even know if Shetan still lived here. Taking a nervous breath, Mitsu raised his hand and gave a soft knock. Shetan would hear it. Perks of being part vampire. Would Shetan be angry to see him? He probably hated Mitsu. He left so suddenly in the middle of the night without so much as a note or any sort of explanaion. Mitsu kept his gaze down, waiting for someone to answer.

Mitsu glanced up as the door opened, relieved it was him. The first words Shetan said were like dagger running through his heart. It hurt a lot more than when he left. But, Mitsu would take it. He'd put up with all the pained, hateful things Shetan had to say. Mitsu had been expecting it. Thst didn't cushion the blow, though. Shetan asked if he enjoyed ripping out his heart and said he wasn't welcome, clearly attempting to close Mitsu out. But, the warlock smiled softly, though it was clearly pained. "Then why did you invite me in?" Mitsu then frowned and looked down. He didn't make any move to enter the apartment. He didn't know if Shetan had invited him in or not. "Shetan, I....There's nothing I can say to...to make up for what I did. But....I'm sorry."

Mitsu was stunned. Is that what he thought? That he had spent the last three years with other men? Mitsu hadn't been. He had gone home, to his family, where he spent three years in a blurred state of depression and lonliness. But, he had to leave. If he had stayed, he would have been a weakness to Shetan. Something the hunters would have used against the vampire mix to get him to submit or something. He wasn't willing to be Shetan's death rattle. "..." Mitsu sat on his knees, resting his hands on them as he looked down at the floor. "You're not done ranting at me, are you?"

Mitsu looked down like a whipped dog. Shetan was right. He really had no reason to be here. Or, rather, no right. He had hurt Shetan. A lot more than any hunter could have done. "...I came back....I came back because I couldn't stay away from you anymore. I....It sounds cruel, but I....I missed you too much to stay away any longer. I'm sorry, Shetan." Mitsu clenched his fists. He couldn't leave again. Shetan may have gotten over Mitsu, but the reverse wasn't the same. Mitsu was still hooked on Shetan. "I....Please. Let me stay. I'll do anything. Just don't make me leave."

Why had he come back? He knew Shetan hated him. The guy didn't even want to look at him. Mitsu stood. Being here was obviously causing the other pain. Even if there was a small part of Shetan that was happy to see him, it didn't change anything. It was clear to him that Shetan didn't want him anywhere near him. "Shetan...." His voice was barely even a whisper. He didn't even know if Shetan could have heard it or not. "...Thank you. For being kind enough to offer me a night. But....Do you...really want me gone?" He couldn't go back home. Mitsu made it clear he had no intention of being a problem to his family anymore. He'd probably find some abandoned building or something to live in either until he found something better or the winter air froze him solid. Either way, it didn't look like Shetan would care, and his family wouldn't know to look for him. "I'll leave tonight. If....If that's what you truly want. If it's hurting you this much....I-I'll make sure you never have to see me again...."

Mitsu frowned. He was never really good with how he worded things, but now wasn't the time to screw up. "That's not what I....I mean...." How else could he say it? That was probably the least offensive way he could. Mitsu hugged himself a bit. He felt sick, and he didn't know why. Shetan's hatred felt like a wave of nausea that kept crashing down on him before he could get a breath. "...I'll be gone before you wake up tomorrow morning. I'm sorry to...burden you?"

So....He didn't hate him? There was still a small glimmer of hope? That made him feel better. Mitsu looked at the room for awhile before he went to sleep. It felt...nice sleeping in his bed again. Nostalgic, and in a good way. He remembered how Shetan would lay with him most of the time. It made Mitsu fall asleep rather quickly thinking about it.

When he awoke, it was because he heard Shetan scream. At first, the thought it was a bad dream, but then he heard it. The whispering. Eyes shooting wide, Mitsu got out of bed and left the room. The sight in front of him horrified the team. There were three hunters, and Shetan was injured. Critically. There was a stake in his chest. "Sh-Shetan!" Mitsu rushed to Shetan. He was out of it, but alive. Even if it was a faint pulse. Angry, Mitsu looked at the hunters. Without so much as a second thought, Mitsu sent a blast at the trio. Two were flung into the wall, rendering them unconscious, but the third ended up tumbling down the stairs and died due to snapping his neck. Mitsu didn't care, though. Standing, he dragged Shetan into the man's room and got him onto the bed. It took a bit since Shetan was as heavy as an elepant to the teen, and he got some things to treat him with.

While cleaning the wound, Mitsu was confronted by two kfficers sent from the Council. He had broken their law and used magic on humans. Mitsu managed to convince the officers to let him tend to Shetan, at least he woke up, and the two went to wait in the hall. Looking back at Shetan, Mitsu leaned forward and rested his head on his skin. He was still alive. That was all that he wanted right now.
