Personality: distant, sociopath, lost all hope in the world, the type to give up in tough situations, he wants love but doesn't believe in it. He feels lost and projects the feeling if you looked away for a second you would forget him. He has trouble seeing the good and always sees the bad but he will stick out his neck for those he needs or loves.
History: He was born in Death city and joined the DWMA when he was 10 for the first two years he refused to get a weapon saying he was waiting for some one special. When he finally chose a partner it was his sister San. they fought demons and darkness no matter where it was.
There last mission brought them to a gallery brought them to gallery of the works of Guertena. It was supposed to be a low level witch but it was much more. The gallery of Guertena comes to life trapping them within a space where the exhibitions are malevolent and start to attack them on site.
Athens was separated from his sister when he fell threw a painting into the world of Guertena that was controlled by the witch Marry, a high level and strong witch. Athens woke up in the dark gallery with a rose near him blue. He traveled the gallery searching for his sister and a way out. Paintings came to life all around him attacking him he fought threw all the enemies till he found a field of red roses and his sister lying in it. Athens rushed to her side ignoring the thorns tarring at his skin. He held her in his arms till she woke up "I like Red roses don't you Athens?"
They walked together threw the rest of the maze till the ran into another girl Marry (didn't know she was a witch at the time). San and Marry talked thrower the whole journey. Athens thought something was off but ignored it but watched as his sister became more and more friendly with Marry. They went into a room full of stuffed bunnies Marry and San quickly picked them up and started playing with them "Aren't they cute San?" "yah they are" Athens stared at them in disbelief "how can you consider that cute?". Than Athens was separated from his sister by a wall of rose thorns."Wait here Athens me and Marry will find you a way out" "San wait" but she left the both of them, Athens all alone.
After several hours of waiting Athens decided to search for his own way out. He went back to the room that was filled with bunnies but now was filled with pupets " how could they think these are cute." Athens searched the room combing it over for about 15 minutes till he found a weak point in the wall and smashed threw it creating a hole threw the wall. He went threw with a sigh of relief to escape the puppets. When he finally got out he founded a puppet and a demonic voice echoed threw the hallways of the gallery "Come play with me Athens". Athens bolted the voice kept talking "Athens were are you going take me with you. The puppet was in front of him again and he kicked it hurling it across the room. Than when he turned around he saw the same puppet there again. he ran in to the first room. Athens couldn't see anything at first till he found a switch.
The lights turned on blinding him for a moment till all he could see was a room full of puppets, the door locked behind him. The room darkened "I'm coming for you Athens.... I'm coming to play. You have 15 seconds to find the key."
Athens ripped apart the dolls heads arms but didn't fin anything and as each second passed the blanke picture that was in the room darkened and a creature started rising from it. "Times up Athens time to play..." Athens screamed but his screams were soon muffled as he was engulfed in darkness.
Marry and San eventually made it back but as they were walking to the room they heard a voice
"...that ..... so .....hehe"
"ahhhahhh......... oh sure. Sometimes..... Yah, yah..."
Marry looked at San " I hear some one talking"
"Don't hear that every day, right? I just ran out you see..."
"Oh I really love it. But it takes awhile for sure..."
"Oh, you to? Why, we certainly do get along, don't we?"
"Ohhohohoho"
San looks threw the crack in the door and see's Athens "Athens?!" she burst into the room and see's Athens talking to a stuffed bunny
Athens smiles like a little kid "HoHo! Your real quite entertaining, you know that? I feel like I can talk to you about my every worry. Hahahahahaha..." San walked infant go Athens and knelt beside him. Athens didn't even notice and kept talking to the bunny "Huh! never heard that before... Can you give me the details?"he laughed "No, no, I won't tell anyone! Your secrets safe with me" Athens keeps talking to him self
"San he's gone we should just keep going on with out him." San looked at marry with tears in her eyes. "there there san its ok" Marry takes sans hand and leads her out of the room as Athen watches. Marry turns around and smirks at Athens "She's mine now Athens... have fun...."
Minutes turned into hours as Athens talked and played with the stuffed bunnies to Athens it seemed only a couple minutes passed he couldn't remember what he was doing. his hands started shaking "I'm forgetting some thing..." he held his blue rose he squeezed it tighter the thorns cutting his hand deeper and deeper. Than a picture flashed before his mind of a brown haired girl in red roses..."SAN!" he jumped up and ran out of the room not noticing the puppet clutched on to him.
He ran and ran till he found a path of red rose petals littering the floor "no.........no no no no no no no" he ran faster following the path of petals that were on the floor till he found Marry and San. San was lying on the ground pale and marry pulling the petals off a red rose till only Sans soul was left"no.......san.....please....".
"you should had just stayed there Athens you wouldn't have had to feel anything ever again."
"MARRY!!!!!!"

Athens held his sisters's soul in his handstand just as that it shattered like petals of a flower till it disappeared into nothing.
he took marry soul and made his was to the painting called "Fabricated world" the frame of the painting dissapered "I guess this is the way out... but whats the point anymore" he made his way threw the painting back to the real world.
He scratched his head "what was I doing again?" he looked in his hand and found a witch soul "oh yah I beat that low level witch guess i better head back o the DWMA."
At the DWMA
Athens laugthed as he turned his final assignment in to his professor. The professor looked at him "It's to bad you never found a partner through out your time in the DWMA but its even more amazing you collected all those souls and a witch one all on your own, an inspiration to all misters."
"awe shucks professor but I don't know it feels like somethings missing and it make me want to give up sometimes... Anyway guess I made it back for graduation at least."
skip to present day
He makes it to a village to see it on fire and sees a demon holding a kid by the neck "SAN!!!!!" /why did i just say san?/ the demon drops a kid. Athens chases the demon down but notices a little girl hurt a girl with brown hair a picture flashes threw his mind of a girl with brown hair and red eyes laying in the middle of a field of red roses. Tears roll down his face "why am I crying..."
