Members of the Accolade possess a very strong moral code. They believe in three core tenets: courage, compassion, and cooperation. Only foxes that possess all three of these traits could handle life with the Accolade.
The Accolade is dedicated to saving others. They travel the world in search of foxes in need and work in tight-knit groups to help those they find that are in danger. They are often heading toward natural disasters, braving storms, or facing down predators. They place themselves in harms way to save others to the best of their abilities, never leaving a fox behind if they can help it. Injured and displaced foxes that the Accolade rescue are welcomed into the tribe's temporary encampment for as long as they need to in order to recover.
Foxes in the Accolade either form or are assigned to teams of three to complete tasks. Forming a team is akin to becoming a family. The members of each team tend to camp near each other, they eat and train together, and they bond and form close connections with one another. Trust is an absolute necessity in this Tribe. There are different types of teams that foxes can join in this tribe:
Field Teams: The Accolade never sends foxes out on missions alone. They depend on each other to remain safe, and each fox brings a different skill to the group. Every field team is comprised of a Knight of Justice, a Companion at Arms, and a Knight. This combination of designations was deemed best suited for all kinds of missions.
Medica Teams: Medica teams are responsible for tending to and healing rescued foxes and members of the Accolade that have sustained injuries in the field. These teams consist of two Knights of Grace and a Seneschal.
Training Teams: Training teams are very versatile, and can be comprised of any three foxes regardless of designation. New foxes and pages born into the tribe are assigned to a training team that suits their personality and plans for the future. Foxes that aspire to join the ranks of the Knights of Justice, for example, will most likely be assigned to a training team that consists of a Knight of Justice, a Knight of Grace, and a Knight.
Hunting Parties: Hunting parties ensure that the Accolade has enough resources to care for their own and any visitors that may be staying. These teams are comprised of a Knight, a Seneschal, and a Companion at Arms.
The Knight Commander's Round Table: The Knight Commander hand chooses one fox of each designation to sit at her Round Table. These foxes keep each other apprised of the status of different facets of the tribe. This helps greatly with communication and coordination throughout the tribe. The members of the Round Table do rotate on a regular basis because Thessaly believes it's important to hear new perspectives on tribe issues.
The Knight Commander will often assign new members to the more experienced field teams for their first few missions in the Accolade. New members must complete rigorous training with a training team before they're ready for a mission, and it's more than just physical ability. The trainers need to recognize in each fox the core tenants of the Accolade before they deem them ready for the field.

Tios and Godric have spent their days roaming the countryside helping foxes in need, resolving disputes, and ensuring every fox is treated fairly and honorably. One day they traveled up through a mountain range which wasn't too populated, but they did meet some foxes here and there. A snowstorm hit that night, and Tios and Godric worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of every fox in the vicinity. Thessaly, a sledfox native to the area, offered her cave as a shelter. While Godric and Tios went out into the ever intensifying storm, Thessaly accepted each fox into her home and ensured their health and warmth. After days of endless snowstorms, the foxes were grateful to the three foxes that saved their lives. Like the others, Tios and Godric thanked Thessaly for her hospitality, and she likewise thanked them for their courage and determination. The three really took a liking to each other, but ultimately Tios and Godric went on their own way again. However, whenever they found a fox in need of food or temporary shelter, Tios and Godric brought them back to Thessaly, who was ever welcoming.
Thus the Accolade originated as a safehaven for foxes in need of an escape. Tios and Godric rescued foxes from disasters or disputes and Thessaly housed and fed them until they could return home. Eventually, Tios and Godric realized that if they happened to travel too far from Thessaly's mountain home, it wouldn't be realistic to take foxes all the way there. They returned to her one last time and asked if she would travel alongside them. She agreed. Now rather than taking sheltering foxes to Thessaly's old home, the three would set up camp in an area where they would stay and take in foxes until it was time to move on. Naturally the trio met a lot of thankful foxes and made a lot of friends. More and more foxes wanted to join their endeavors, so Thessaly, Tios, and Godric decided to begin The Accolade.
The Accolade is not just about being brave in the face of dangerous situations. It's not even just about saving other foxes. The Accolade espouses a way of life centered on selfless acts of kindness, courteousness, and true heroism. While they're not completely dogmatic about their beliefs because they understand that no fox is perfect, the Accolade strives to help members live as closely by their five commandments as possible.

The camp is full of tents and huts made of large leaves and sticks. Generally they are all small and can fit two or three foxes. The Accolade has enough material to make extra tents when necessary. The camp is set up with the Knight Commander's tent in the center, surrounded by Knight of Grace tents and the tents of tribe members with kits. Nearby is also set of tents reserved for those recovering from illness or injury. The rest of the Knights set up their tents around as they please. Because the Accolade moves around a lot, the layout changes often but the middle of the camp is typically the same.
Currently the camp is situated atop a cliff overlooking a short stretch of beach. It's a safe distance away from the edge of the cliff and near an easy path down to the water. On the other side of the camp is the forest and North is a wide freshwater river that leads to a Delta to the ocean. There are some caves within the cliffs, which provides shelter for some of the native foxes, but most of them live in the forest nearby.

Knight Commander: This is the Elder of the tribe. Members look to this fox for guidance and leadership. The Elder exemplifies the beliefs of the tribe and serves as the primary teacher of the Accolade code to those who are new or young. The Elder also coordinates the knights, helps care for those the Accolade are temporarily sheltering, and plans and organizes the tribe's relocations.
The Elite Guard: Tribe Guardians that join the Accolade become members of the Elite Guard. They're an organized unit of Guardians, coordinated by the Captain of the Guard, who protect the Accolade and provide valuable assistance in times of need. Members of the Elite Guard are trained to perform any task in which the other designations specialize.
Knight of Justice: These are the Shamans of the Accolade. They are second in command to the Knight Commander, often leading main excursions off of the camp grounds in the event of natural disasters, etc. Knights of Justice can join a Field Team or a Training Team.
Knight of Grace: These are the Carers of the Accolade. They are knights who have volunteered above and beyond selflessly. More than just taking care of the Accolade's pages, the Knights of Grace also care for the sick, weary, hungry who come to the camp for safety. Knights of Grace can join either a Medica Team or a Training Team.
Knight: These are the Hunters. They are generally the strongest and bravest, capable of fighting off wild animals that are threatening other foxes, or braving fierce storms to get others to safety. Knights can join either a Field Team, a Training Team, or a Hunting Party.
Companion at Arms: These are the Scouts. They are the fastest and most perceptive of the members. Companions at Arms are responsible for scouting out future campgrounds and foxes in need of help. If they aren't able to help the foxes themselves, they send telepathic messages back to the Knights and Knights of Justice. Companions at Arms can join either a Field Team, a Training Team, or a Hunting Party.
Seneschal: These are the Gatherers. They often explore areas with the Companions at Arms and Knights, but mostly to learn about the flora and fauna of the area and return with food, water, and medicine. If necessary, they also escort foxes in need of shelter back to the camp so the rest of the party can continue scouting. Seneschals can join either a Medica Team, a Training Team, or a Hunting Party.
Squire: These are the tribe members, who help in all areas they are needed.
Page: All kits in the tribe are pages, working as an apprentice for members of a certain rank until they're old enough to join themselves.
Modeity: The Accolade worships the Modeity of Protection: Nyneve.

All members of the Accolade are tattooed with the tribe's Coat of Arms. Each fox can decide on the placement and colors [up to three] of their tribe modification. The triskelion represents three core tenets of the Accolade's teachings: courage, compassion, cooperation.

This tribe is for those with a sense of honor. It's for those who are capable of necessary sacrifice. It's for those who want to be role models. If you have a fox that fits that description, then I hope you consider joining the Accolade!
