×x F ᴏ ᴜ ɴ ᴅ ɪ ɴ ɢx×xxxAs Dreznir's previous Pack nearly killed him, the male was reluctant and obstinate about starting one of his own. One day as Drez was ranging towards the Rift, he was hunting and, still wounded from his ex-Pack's beating, misjudged a leap for an elk. He found himself soaring over the Rift's edge, and he just barely landed on a ledge, escaping sure death. However, his wings were still broken, his body bruised, and his sight bad, so he was stuck, alone and afraid. A lone Varsythe passed by and noticed his plight, and though Dreznir snarled and readied to fight for his then-pathetic life, the male helped him.
Finding he could tolerate the other's presence, and owing him slightly-begrudging gratitude for aiding him, Drez agreed to make decisions for the pair, but only until they went their separate ways. However, time passed, and the two males found they worked quite well together: their hunts were almost always successful, they kept watch for one another, and when the fought off encroaching Vileclaw, their combined strength was almost humorously excessive. So the two remained, and began to make a name for themselves. With Zaice's help, Dreznir entirely dismantled a cruel Pack that would kill others for sport, the two went to the Rift and howled over its bottomless depth, and even ventured a few steps into Mount Khezid together before coming to their senses.
Soon, other Vileclaw heard of their strength, wit, and success, and so the Riftclaw Pack began to grow. ×x H ɪ s ᴛ ᴏ ʀ ʏx×x x x x● Dreznir is saved by Zaice from a slow death, and the two began hunting and travelling together, and soon they come to rely on one another, falling into the Alpha and Beta positions respectively.x x x x● Drez haltingly explains how his old Pack betrayed him, and is surprised, shocked, and outraged that Zaice experienced something similar. Vengeance and retribution in their hearts, the pair stalk off towards their old territories, first to Zaice's. There, the two realize just how strong they are together: they come upon the Beta's old Pack and kill them without mercy, from the Alpha all the way down to the eldest Gammas and youngest Pups. High on the thrill of violence and justice, the two range farther east, and do the same to Dreznir's old Pack, slaughtering them down to the very last Varsythe.x x x x● After the heat of battle cooled, however, the pair's pride in what they had done fled, and a gnawing, hungry pit of guilt and disgust filled them. They both agreed to never speak of what they had done, and so the two are bonded by debt, and by blood.x x x x● Being shoved off the side of the Rift had made it abundantly clear that there wasn’t room for two operatives in his former pack. The bruises, and injured leg, didn’t smart nearly as much though, as knowing his old pack thought him dead already. They’d even mourned.
Which left Pan, at the bottom of a cliff, to find his own careful painful way back up. Eyes from above to find the little-used game path would be extremely helpful.
