╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ RP Contest!
Main Thread:: xx__________яp cоитєsт__________ This RP Contest is directly correlated to the ongoing META EVENT. If you have not done so yet, please read the first post in the linked thread to get a better understanding of the current state of the world.

Begins:: Now! Ends:: May 31st @ 6pm PST You may choose the Queen's Alliance. She must be Alpha Rank and Herald Class. See HERE for Classes.Varsythe Alliances::ᴠᴜʀғᴀɴɢ -● These Varsythe worship the White Alpha, and mostly inhabit the southern area of the world. ● Vurfang are known for their loyalty to both Pack and blood, and they see themselves as more honor-bound entities than their counterparts. ● Fangs are master strategists, and they train based on their Class endlessly. In combat, they're neatly organized, and are elite at their chosen professions.● Creativity for the gain of the individual is encouraged, but creativity for the gain of all is far more prized. If it eases the tension and brings the Pack together more, it's sometimes better than loyalty.ᴠɪʟᴇᴄʟᴀᴡ -● The Vileclaw honor the Outcast Omega, and populate the northern regions of the world. ● Claws rely on their instincts to do what they have to in order to survive, and if that means they Pack-hop from time to time in order to find better mates or game, they do so. However, that doesn't mean that they are disloyal; in fact, sometimes Vileclaw will fight tooth and nail for their Packmates.● They're usually leaner and more cunning than their Southern neighbors, and while they're more fierce in battle, they aren't always completely organized, as training varies from Pack to Pack. ● While they don't hold strictly to the Pack hierarchy, Vileclaw often follow an Alpha they find worthy for life. And vice versa, if a Herald finds a Varsythe they think would be a boon to their Pack, they will often stop at nothing until they've recruited them.╚═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:: Please keep the following in mind, regardless of which prompt you choose.
Having spent almost the entirety of your life underwater -- with the exception of coming up for breath or the occasional land-hunt -- off the coast of Zareth, the Great Flood has caused your waters to swell, the tides pulling you inland. Now you find yourself in an entirely foreign world; the water-levels vary, some being deep enough for you to swim, others you must pad lightly through, the water coming up only to your hocks.
With growing alarm, you realize that there's no way back to your previous territory, and even if there was one, the oceans have changed dramatically from the Flood. Now, you must learn to adapt on land. The finned wings that once allowed you to cut and swirl gracefully through the seas allow only short hops of gliding flight, making travel more difficult. You find your fail cumbersome, and your body unused to the gravity of land.
All around you, there is panic: Varsythe are scrambling, seeking high ground as the waters rise, flooding their lands, Packs are being separated, game is stampeding and fleeing for safety. You must find your place amidst this chaos, and you can either choose to aid others or pass them by, intent on adapting to this foreign situation you've found yourself in.
You may use NPCs created specifically for this RP Contest. ☽x P ʀ ᴏ ᴍ ᴘ ᴛ #1x☾x x x x● The abhorrent rage of the ocean was shocking to you: one moment you were gliding along, and the next the waters rose, dragging you inland on a rogue wave that tumbled you end-over-end, the cold strong fingers of undertows and harsh currents yanking you around. In a panic, you tried to at least guide your impossibly-fast arrival towards the shoreline, but were knocked unconscious when you collided head-first with an uprooted tree. You've just awoken, in a strange and unfamiliar land, and you've sustained minor injuries from the tidal wave breaking over the terrain. And although this place is completely alien to you, you feel a pulling, a sense of purpose drawing you further inland.
What is it you seek, and how do you adapt to the drastic change of environment? x x x x● Be sure to show your Varsythe's personality, the way she thinks, and what drives her.☽x P ʀ ᴏ ᴍ ᴘ ᴛ #2x☾x x x x● Thankfully, you were prepared for the onslaught of the Great Flood, having felt the deep whispers of the Abyss warning you only moments before. With little time and less preparation, you made for the mouth of the river in the North; the one that runs south towards the Rift in the Eroxxus Wastelands. Barely ahead of the rogue wave that overtook the lands, you swam downriver, heading deeper and deeper into the mainland, with the enraged ocean running close behind you. As the river swelled and overflowed its banks, you sought high ground, using your once-graceful finned wings to aid you in leaping to a rocky overhand. Upon landing on the ledge of granite, you're shocked at what you see: a female Alpha, clearly dead, the limp bodies of three Pups curled around her. You mean to move on when a sound cuts right through to your heart: a single, small keen. Turning around, you face a Pup, barely a month old, nosing its mother's body and looking to you for help, for answers.
How do you respond? Do you take the Pup in as your own, or do you take it with you, in search for finding it a suitable caretaker in the Vileclaw lands? x x x x● Be sure to show your Varsythe's personality, the way she thinks, and what drives her.☽x P ʀ ᴏ ᴍ ᴘ ᴛ #3x☾x x x x● The Great Flood took everything from you: your Territory, your Pack, your friends. Everything and everyone you once knew is now gone, and the violent churning of the waters spat you out just inside the border of the Lunaris Forest. You spend hours searching, howling, scenting for your mate, hoping that they, at least, survived, only to come across them after days of searching, broken and beaten by the rage of the ocean. Now you're lost, in a strange land, mourning the staggering, heart-rending loss of everything you once had. Your kingdom was destroyed, and now you're desperately searching for a reason to live. You ignore the chaos and panic around you as the waters continue to swell and claim lives, your mind, body, and soul in complete and utter shock from everything that happened. But just when you think you can't go on, you hear a low, mournful howl split the night: someone else has lost everything, too. Feeling a kinship, you head towards the sound, seeking for someone with whom you can share this gut-twisting pain.
Who do you find, what happened to them, and how do you find a way to keep moving forward? x x x x● Be sure to show your Varsythe's personality, the way she thinks, and what drives her.

✖✖ ● ● ● ● ● xxxxxBasic Information ✖ ᴜsᴇʀɴᴀᴍᴇ :: Lunar Mirage ✖ ᴠᴀʀsʏᴛʜᴇ's ɴᴀᴍᴇ :: Alequere ✖ ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ :: Female ✖ ᴀʟʟɪᴀɴᴄᴇ :: Vurfang ✖ ᴛᴇᴍᴘᴇʀ :: Regal ✖ ᴄʟᴀss :: Herald
✖✖ ● ● ● ● ● xxxxxCharacter Plans ✖ ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ :: She is not afraid of standing for what she believes is the right thing to do, and as an Alpha and also queen, she is aware of where her duties lie - to her people. In all things, she tries to put their needs above her own. She works hard with them, not afraid of getting her paws dirty as needed. She fights tooth and claw for their lives, and will stand on the front line to lead them. In return, she is stern with her rules, and expects the best of all who come under her care. She especially takes pride in the puppies, for they are the future, and she encourages them to spend time with her when the situation permits. She is gentle, a loving soul, feirce and strong.
She is also lonely, but rarely admits to such. She knows that the pack comes before her own wishes. In many ways, she tries to bury that by keeping busy, and in others, the wish she has to become a mother one day is shown in the way she treats the pups. True friends can be hard to come by, and she rarely allows herself to confide in others beyond certain degrees. She was groomed, since her own puppy-hood, to be a leader not a friend, and so has a hard time opening up to others.
This was all brought home to her as a lesson after she was betrayed by one she'd loved. They had grown up inseparable from birth, and while she'd been cautioned about her friendship, being young and all she had thought such was a foolish notion. Nothing could possibly happen! As they grew, so did their friendship...or so she had assumed. She fell in love with the dark male, her best friend in the world, the one she told everything to - it wasn't until he betrayed her heart did she realize he had long ago stopped doing the same in return. He had been using her friendship as a way to gain power through manipulation. He had fallen in with the ones who worshiped the Omega, and he cursed her name as he was driven from the lands of the pack. She has never fully trusted another since, though her heart longs to find one she can. Her biggest weakness are the younger generation. She feels she will never be a mother of her own, so she takes great interest in those that are born within her pack and especially any found homeless outside are brought in to be raised as if they were her child. ✖ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʟᴀɴ ᴛᴏ sᴛᴀʀᴛ ᴀ ᴘᴀᴄᴋ? :: Yes
✖✖ ● ● ● ● ● xxxxxRP Entry ✖ ᴘʀᴏᴍᴘᴛ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ :: 2 ✖ ᴇɴᴛʀʏ :: The day had started as any other, the sunlight from above casting pretty patterns on the coral below, a sight that Alequere never grew quite tired of. Unlike most days, tho, she’d found herself at the extreme north end of her pack’s territory, in the shallows near the entrance to the river that ran to the south through the land above investigating a disturbance – a scout had died near here, surprised in some attack and torn to shreds and cast back into the water.
“You must swim, swim for the world is ending as you once knew. Swim down the north river, and live.”
She’d been on her way to the site when the voices came. Soft and gentle did they speak these words of urgency. “Live, young queen, swim for your life depends on it. The Flood comes, the land changes…the pack is no more. Swim now, and live!” She paused shivering for a bare moment, the horror of what had just been whispered washing over her. The pack was no more? What…how…? A subtle change to the currents reminded her that time was of the essence, and with powerful sweeps of her wings and tail, she swam hard as she could down the river.
Even with the warning, it’d almost came too quickly, and with bare moments did she manage to keep ahead of the onslaught. The sounds, the sights she glimpsed behind her, many had been caught unawares and swept up. She winced as someone howled for help, the sound abruptly cut off with a high-pitched yelp. And still she swam. There was no time…no time! The river was becoming almost too shallow to swim, and so with a powerful thrust of both wings and tail, she leaped from the depths, scrabbling with claws and teeth to the rocky ledge before finally collapsing in exhaustion.
She lay panting, sides heaving and eyes closed, thanking her ancestors for their timely warning. Her thoughts strayed to her puppyhood when the voices had first been heard. That caused a bit of ruckus, the pack unsure if she was to be a shaman or not. It ended up she received no visions…. usually. If she did, she was always in the form of a young pup walking with an older wolf – sometimes more than one – and they only came in her dreams, but even then very rarely. The dead spoke when they felt the need, soft and gentle, giving advice and guiding her with little mysterious hints that would help her with the current needs of the pack. The future was rarely hinted it, and certainly never had she had such warning as this. That thought alone terrified her.
Lifting her head, she opened her eyes, trying to get a hint of where she might be. That in itself was a rather useless task as she’d never been this far downriver, and the great water would have changed every landmark she might of known as it was. Turning to look back the way she’d come, she found a sight that made her whimper…a female alpha with 3 young pups, clearly dead. “That howl, it must have been hers…” It broke her heart in ways nothing else ever could. Head hanging, she turned away unable to bear the sight further, and stood as if to leave. A small keening cut through everything – her very being. She paused, one paw raised in mid-step, and looked.
“Mama?” came the voice of one of the pups, barely a month old, nosing the dead remains of her mother. “Mama…wake up, Mama…I’m scared…” Sitting on her haunches, the little one cried out in a tiny little puppy howl, before she looked over at the queen, questions in her eyes. She wasn’t old enough to understand what had happened. “What’s wrong with Mama?” she begged, “Why won’t she wake up?”
Her heart broken, the queen padded slowly towards the little one, compassion and grief for her own lost pack overwhelming her. She sat down, staring at the remains of the alpha for a long time in silence, her tail curling about the puppy as she snuggled up against her scales, whimpering. “Your mother…is gone, little one, a path we cannot follow, but she watches over you. Come, we must leave. This area is not safe.”
Carefully, she lifted the puppy and put her on her back, folding her wings to keep her safely in place. Wings would be little good right now, the thin membranes liable to be shredded by the branches of fallen trees uprooted with the flood. She would have to be careful, the trek dangerous, but even she had to admit she felt better having a companion. They would be okay, for neither was alone anymore. ✖ ᴇxᴛʀᴀ ɪɴғᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ :: She CAN hear the voices of the ancestors, however when they speak and what they speak of is something she has no control over, tho the shamans tried to teach her how to ask them questions. The dead have their own agenda, the answers usually hidden. She once did ask why, and the wolf answered "It wouldn't be any fun to see you grow and become what you could if you had all the answers. We will guide you, but YOU must put forth the work."

✖✖ ● ● ● ● ● xxxxxCharacter Plans ✖ ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ :: Suisei does her best to move with the flow, whenever possible. Although she tries to think ahead, she has her own flaws, and can often come off as a bit of a tyrant. Really, she just wants to display a heavy enough paw to keep unruly wolves in their place. This doesn't mean she doesn't prize disobedience in the name of the pack, or in the quest to further one's own status among the pack. She does appreciate initiative... But you not only have to get past the wolf you're trying to take the position of, but most likely a disapproving stare, while providing a verbal self-defense. Good luck with that. ✖ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʟᴀɴ ᴛᴏ sᴛᴀʀᴛ ᴀ ᴘᴀᴄᴋ? :: Fully plan on trying. Even kinda have a concept going so far.
✖✖ ● ● ● ● ● xxxxxRP Entry ✖ ᴘʀᴏᴍᴘᴛ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ :: The abhorrent rage of the ocean was shocking to you: one moment you were gliding along, and the next the waters rose, dragging you inland on a rogue wave that tumbled you end-over-end, the cold strong fingers of undertows and harsh currents yanking you around.
✖ ᴇɴᴛʀʏ :: I've never seen such a thing. My daily excercise against the deep ocean current not far from home was the perfect place to work with my strength and just... Think. I thought little of the wibbles in the flow when I arrived this morning; I should have paid more attention.
The blue wolf groaned as she picked herself up, slowly. She froze when she did not have the aid of the water, and glanced down at the brittle branches holding her up off the rapids that had formed over debris below. She blinked down the rapids at it, counting branches, rocks, and noting a significant difference in the distance between air and land on the edges of the water and in the middle. This river was massively swolen; there was no way it was normally supposed to look like that!
Her sea-greens rose and trailed over a wash of mutilated trees dripping with saltwater from the ocean, noting the wild in plants that weren't used to so much... water. Her eyes caught on a small form to one side and she glanced down at the tree beneath her again, carefully positioning her paws so she could get off a jump from it before they snapped under her weight. She landed gracefully enough, but felt her tail smack the earth hard behind her. She winced, glancing back at the recently-heavy appendage, and weaved it through the awkward new gravity of the world. She looked back at the river and saw many splits, just in sight. She'd never find her way back to the ocean that way, and... And something told her she shouldn't try.
She shook her head and moved forward, ears perked under her crown to that small form she'd seen. It didn't get any bigger as she approached it, and she was sure it was breathing; the fur moved like it was water-touched. "Oi." She barked, and waited a moment. There was no response, and while she waited, her eyes glanced a little closer tot he water to catch two more small frames, much like this one. Curiousity piqued, she slowly moved forward again, poking at the tiny form with one lax paw. "Oi! Get up!" She moved around its head when it didn't respond and slowly tilted the small maw with one paw. The little antennae which had once held a developing bulb was frayed at the edge, and the small form was coated in various other injuries. It took a moment for dawn to alight in her eyes before she backed away from the youth, horrified.
She cast a glance in either direction, unnerved. One of her own kind had just lost most, if not all, of their litter. Images of the wolves who had shared her home drifted over her mind, and she shook her head, staring at the lifeless frames once more. The moment seemed to take forever, before she let her rump succomb to the gravity and lifted her muzzle. The long, low echo of a howl was somehow haunting out of the water. It no longer sounded like whalesong, but more like it belonged to the fur she embodied. She let the song end and stood over the pups a little longer, speaking a prayer that whoever ruled over the land might lead them to a brighter after-tide.
Finally, she stood and turned, but she couldn't chase the images from her mind. She had to find some of her own. She had to get a pack together, for defense, for family.... for hope. She heard howls off in the distance, and a voice.... One that she could hardly understand; it was foreign to her how it was delivered. It seemed to indicate a specific location as 'safe'. Glancing back at the river, Suisei wondered if anything was safe anymore, and shook her mind free of that useless thought. She would go... wherever this place was. More of the finned denizens; those who shared her displacement, they would surely go there as well; a school or a pack, didn't matter what you called it, life was safer in numbers, especially on foreign territory.
WHile thinking, she felt water crawling over her pads and glared back at it as it swallowed the pups' bodies, swelling again. She couldn't stay here, anymore... Out of habit, she spread her wings and ran, tail swaying behind her with small motions. She tilted her wings as if to turn and felt the ground pulled out from under her paws before making an ungraceful landing. She sat up, rubbing her nose, and stared at the fins, her head at a tilt. She tested them for a few minutes, descovering that, while too much force made them fold dangerously in the webs, they did offer some resistance to the wind. Curiously, she glanced around, finding one of the trees that hadn't been destroyed yet, and jumped up against it's bark, twisting in the air to spread her wings and land a short distance away. She tested the wings again and grinned, deciding she'd find a way for her tail to be of use later, since it was no longer a swimming implement.
It may not be enough for long distances... but it may be enough to skip over some dangers if necessary... With that, she glanced towards the terrain the howl had suggested; mountains. They weren't foreign to her; the ocean had them. Had whole ranges of them. Although, which she was heading to... That would be a more difficult choice, for certain. She would find more of hers. She would find others to join her, and she would build anew, if she could not return to the old. If mistress ocean will have me no more, perhaps the lord of the Soil has some plans for me. She grinned.
She threw her head skyward again, howling out a message to the earth. I suppose it will be told in time if our plans are compatible. I am here, Lord Soil, and the waters do not want me anymore, so I am here to Stay. And with that, she was off, pelting across the land. She leapt up onto boulders when they were available, to torment herself with practice of her wings, eager to acquaint herself with any powers she might have over the beasts native to her new home. ✖ ᴇxᴛʀᴀ ɪɴғᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ :: Suisei plans to build a mixed pack of all wolves that will follow her, and will have her own set of rules that may vary slightly from the shop's traditional ruleset. As she is fresh from the ocean and free of any bias, she worships neither the white alpha nor the outcast Omega, and for now will refer to the mother, mistress, or lady ocean and lord soil. So... a little weird.

✖✖ ● ● ● ● ● xxxxxCharacter Plans ✖ ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ :: Asinta is a wolf that is very fierce and loyal. She grew up in a traditional family, her mother and father were both sea wolf alphas. She had been in a small size litter and had a fraternal twin sister who was a shaman. As a cub she had been born with psychic abilities similar to her mother and because of this her family indeed had treasured her. They thought their little girl was destined for greatness, so as a pup Asinta had learned from an early age the qualities of a leader and she was very fond of learning to be a warrior. Asinta was very talented as a hunter and fighter, her skills as a tactician were almost unmatched. She had obtained this skill because of her fondness to learn and her ability to understand history, understanding if you know the past it can shape the future. Yet as a cub she had a secret fondness to try and find adventure and treasures but this secret was hidden away as she grew.
Her father was like her, very smart and tactical but her warrior spirit stems from her mother. Her psychic abilities were trained since she was young, her teacher was her parents' beta who understood how to teach and train young pups with abilities. He had this training from working with his alphas as they are both gifted. As an adult Asinta is fierce and strong, yet loyal and kind to those in her inner circle. She is a wolf who seeks to bring a pack together through the skill of each member of the pack. With a secret hope that she can understand the greater world and keep control of her ability this is her personality and she is very close to her parents and twin sister.
✖ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʟᴀɴ ᴛᴏ sᴛᴀʀᴛ ᴀ ᴘᴀᴄᴋ? :: Yes
✖✖ ● ● ● ● ● xxxxxRP Entry ✖ ᴘʀᴏᴍᴘᴛ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ :: 1 ✖ ᴇɴᴛʀʏ :: Asinta was caught up checking the water and the status of the oncoming storm. She had just recently become the pack leader of her parents pack and territory. She was a strong and graceful sea wolf with a personality that made her one to be rivaled with. She was born with psychic abilities but this day she decided to check on the sea when she felt it begin to turn. Asinta was on a rock scanning the oceana, as she went to enter the water to check how fast the current was going her gliding was caught up by a wave. The storm began to build the clouds threw lighting as she was swept around. Asinta was a strong swimmer and she attempted to try to swim against the current but it was too strong. As she was beginning to lose to the current her only thought was her family and how much she was letting them down. She wanted to make it back and she tried her best, yet she was losing to the sea. Not only that but she was losing conscious in the process.
The current then took her unconscious form and dumped it on the ocean. Asinta awoke drowsy and disoriented in a land she had no idea of. As things became more clear she listened with her mind but could only hear the wind and she could barely see as her vision was cloudy. This was her first time on land and she was confused but her main worry was for her pack. Her younger, fraternal twin, sister was back with her pack. This was her most trusted sister, the beta of her now growing young pack. She had a strong personality but it was Asinta’s warrior like spirit and talent as a fighter that kept the pack protected. Asinta then closed her eyes, trying to listen with her psychic mind if any other sea wolves may be around. She did not hear anyone, she was indeed alone in a new land but as she tried to get up she felt something worse.
She learned her legs weren't allowing her to stand, even though they were mobile. As her vision cleared she noticed deep scratches on all four of her legs and these needed to be treated if she was to walk again. As the sea pulled her to wherever this land was she must have been bashed across a few rocks as the storm had dragged her along.
She noticed a few algae seaweed lying near her on the beach and used her abilities, as weak as they were, to bring the seaweed to her. While she was unable to move large objects she could move this quite easily since it was small and light in nature. This was one thing she was thankful for at this point. She grabbed the material and moved it around her legs and tied it within. She still would not be able to move for a few days and that was fine with her. Now that she was more aware she came to breath in the air and aura of this new land. It was a land that felt like it was calling to her she felt now that she was just relaxing and trying to focus on healing.
She was still concerned about her lands yet she had faith in her sister to take care of the pack but this land had a different feeling to it. Its atmosphere began to tug on her ,calling her, like it was a land she could explore. Not many in her pack beyond her sister knew of this deep feeling she had and that she wanted to be in a land different then her own and go out on explorations and adventures. To be able to make a pack that had a similar personality to her own. She knew the expectations of her parents and the pack yet she wanted to show her parents that she could be their daughter they expected and still have a pack that could explore and find what it means to have a true adventure. This land indeed had that feeling but she knew if she healed she would want to explore it. Yet her mind wandered back to her pack and she knew she would need to get back and maybe then come to this land which was feeling more homely then her own.
She was going to get better and then she would find this land and where it was at then come and explore it with her small and growing pack. This would happen only after she mapped the route to here and also made it back to her homeland and made sure it was safe. They would never be safe till she returned, for she was the alpha, it was her job to keep her lands protected.
✖ ᴇxᴛʀᴀ ɪɴғᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ :: She has psychic abilities and wishes to understand the outside world while protecting her own homelands. A adventurer and warrior at heart she does not understand yet which alpha she truly follows but knows her parents followed the white alpha and she does too yet she wants to understand the greater universe before saying truly if the white alpha is who is her god wolf to follow at heart.
