Changing the title to FIN since Themisto and Itsuki have made their exit!
Themisto knew this guy was up to no good. He just looked like the kind of Negaverse officer who would really hurt people for no real reason above just because I wanted to. Most of the Negaverse higher-ranks operated on that principle - hurt and kill people for some purpose half of the officers either didn't know or didn't wish to say. Nobody could explain why the Negaverse needed energy, even when asked. Either they didn't know, or they wouldn't say, which made everything that much more suspicious.
The newly-minted eternal senshi was stalking the rooftops now, under the cover provided by his Mauvian Guardian, Itsuki. Suppressing Themisto's signature while he covered the distance between them and the Negaverse officer in question. He'd been spotted wearing a hat and a fancy jacket in darker colors, somewhat green. In some ways, he and Themisto shared color schemes - darker greens and more murky colors. He didn't think too far into it - Themisto was too angry at the thought of this Captain maiming someone for the fun of it.
"Themi-chan, get as close as you can, but... what if he's not doing anything? What if he's not hurting anyone? Do you really just want to... hurt him if he's not doing anything?" whispered the cat, tucked safely in the folds of Themisto's fuku as he ran. The senshi kept an arm around the Mau as a safety precaution. Without Itsuki to suppress his power, Themisto would stick out like a sore thumb. The Mau held his grip as much as possible, watching the form of the Captain down below. Would Themisto really try to... kill this man?
"He's Negaverse, Itsuki. They kill people. I gotta stop him before he hurts someone else." As soon as he could get close enough, Themisto would drop down near the Captain and see what he was up to.

The evening had so far been a good one for siphoning energy off the people wandering around and he would hopefully have plenty of energy for his next batch of experiments. Nitratine had been better than expected at getting the energy and with the stock pile he would have after dealing with this civilian he would have enough for at least a week along with what he was supposed to turn into his superiors.
Tucking a bit of hair behind his ear he let go of the neck of the young man he had been holding, letting him crumple to the sidewalk. The kid was alive but barely.
"Too bad you weren't a senshi, though I suppose you wouldn't think that way." He could use a few more of the senshi's starseeds. Civilian ones were good but they just weren't the same.

Themisto could feel the evil Chaos energy from a block or so away, and veered course just in time to see an innocent civilian drop to the ground, drained of his life. Itsuki covered his face with his paws as the senshi began to shout a challenge down to the Negaverse captain. How dare he harm innocent people like that!? And for what reason!? None of the ones Themisto had spoken to seemed to know - or care - about why the Negaverse ordered harm to come to Destiny City.
"What the <********> do you think you're doing?!" came the shout from the rooftop before the Eternal senshi dropped to street level to see what this douchebag even looked like. Did it matter? They were hurting people. Did they get to have that kind of consideration paid to them?
The Mauvian dove behind the Senshi, intent on checking the . If necessary, he'd fire off his Neko Beam, but only when absolutely needed. Itsuki disliked the idea of fighting, and was much more lenient when it came to the Negaverse than his Senshi partner. Themisto hadn't killed anyone, but the Lost Senshi wasn't keen on taking prisoners.
"Care to explain, Captain?" Or do I have to beat it out of you? What about this kid's family? What if he dies out here of hypothermia? "Don't you give a crap about the people you just leave laying around in the streets??"

Uvarovite was surprised to hear a voice, though slightly less surprised to hear an angry one. The senshi cockroaches could never just .. .nicely ask what was going on. They had to start making demands.
Rolling his eyes he turned slightly, looking the senshi over as he pocketed the small orb of energy he'd gained from the civilian. "What I am doing is using this young man for a far better purpose than he would have had otherwise, if you actually care"
The young man wasn't dead, technically, so the Senshi could calm down as far as he was concerned. "Of course I 'give a crap' about them," the air quotes around the words could be heard in his voice. "I care about what they can give me."

Themisto seemed unimpressed. "Oh, okay, so it's who cares, I need something from them, and if they die, oh well?" Crossing his arms across the cat in his fuku, the senshi scowled at Uvarovite. The damn b*****d thought he was better than the lives of innocent people, and that was <******** up. This is what made the fundamental difference between senshi and the Negaverse, in his opinion - the fact that senshi didn't just take energy from people and leave them out to die.
The Mauvian's ears drooped as the Negaverse agent admitted to caring nothing about the people of the city. "Demo, Captain-san, what if it was a member of your family?" Perhaps the Mau could appeal to whatever empathy the Captain might have buried in his heart somewhere. Surely Chaos hadn't corrupted this man enough that he would completely stop caring at all about the people of the city, and his own family! "I'm very thankful that you didn't kill this person, but can we at least take them somewhere safe?"
The senshi scoffed. "Itsuki, he don't care about these people. He'll leave bodies wherever he feels like, thinkin' he's above the law."
Itsuki frowned. It wasn't so, was it?

Uvarovite hadn't noticed the Mauvian at first and was a bit surprised to see it poking out of the senshi's clothes. That was a little annoying given that he knew what the felines were capable of. One of those along with an eternal senshi was ... well not the best of circumstances.
"My only blood family is dead and my partner is a General." He smirked, turning to fully face the two this time. "Some of us do not want to be 'saved', we are perfectly happy where we are."
The Negaverse offered him things no one else could. Access to his lab and his research? The senshi couldn't offer anything like that and would not allow him to do the sort of experiments that he wanted to do.
He spared a glance back at the civilian at the cats last words, turning back slowly. As he did so the ground under them rumbled slightly before his Pet rose up out of the ground under the civilian. The hapless person was left dangling in the youma's mouth for a moment before the youma tossed it's head back and, much like a crocodile eating a meal, swallowed the civilian in a few gulps.
"You were saying?"

Both Senshi and Mauvian didn't expect a youma to erupt from the ground. Itsuki, in his panicked state, tried to fire off his Neko Beam but to no effect. Not only was the youma a Captain's partner, but it was incredibly fast, burrowing beneath the ground before the beam of light could attempt to pierce its hide. Both shrieked in terror and Themisto stuffed the cat into his fuku to charge at the Captain while they had the opportunity.
Some people don't want to be saved.

While Themisto started to yell at Captain Uvarovite about things like murder and karma, Itsuki kept his head down, buried in the folds of Themisto's fuku. He could try to fire off another beam, but he'd be exhausted after the attempt, even if it managed to land. The Mauvian was horrified - not only by the youma devouring a human whole, but by the fact that this Captain knew it was wrong to kill people and did it anyway. And he had no intention of trying to purify!!
Was this real evil?

Uvarovite laughed at the senshi and his cat's reaction as the Pet settled behind him, the monsters head resting just over his shoulder. Reaching up he patted the monsters jaw. It was always interesting to think of all the senshi out there who couldn't fathom that their perfect little world wasn't perfection for everyone. The yall seemed to live in their own little world where everyone was good, or should want to be good, by their definition of good
"Are you finished?" He let Thermesto go on for a bit but was getting tired of his blather. "Or do I need to get my Pet to deal with shutting you up?"
If he had to listen to the tirade about how 'evil' he was any longer he was going to get bored.

Themisto had had enough. Trying to appeal to the Captain's sense of decency wasn't working, and Itsuki was cowering in the folds of the senshi's fuku. The cat wouldn't be of use in the battle and might get hurt, so it was better to finish things off sooner rather than later. As much as Themisto wanted to beat this Captain into a pulp, he couldn't risk the Mauvian getting hurt.
It was time to try and end this as quickly as possible.
Opening his palm before the Captain, Themisto blew across it. "Neblua Fletus!"
Billowing magical fog formed from the palm of Themisto's hand, filled with roiling, groaning spirits. The senshi had hoped this would distract the Captain long enough for the pair to make their retreat. Itsuki had to get somewhere safe.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Nebula Fletus! Themisto calls out the attack name and blows across his open palm, creating a sort of fog that billows out in a cone shape in front of him. The fog fills an area about the size of a standard bedroom (maybe 12'x12' or something of the sort). While anyone (aside from Themisto himself) is standing in the fog, they feel intense fear and hear phantoms wailing, monstrous guttural noises or anything that is triggered by feeling lost, lonely and the feeling of being forgotten by family and friends. This attack does not inflict any damage in and of itself - it's simply meant to confuse/disorient/horrify the enemy and whoever else happens to be standing in the radius.
• AoE, but anyone (except Themisto himself), including allies, can be affected if they stand in the fog. • Attacks dealing with wind or rain can dissipate the fog early. • The fog lasts 30 seconds before it starts to clear. • This attack can be used twice per battle with a two post cooldown between uses. • If people wander out of the fog early, the effect on them clears.

Uvarovite had expected something a little more spectacular from the Senshi than a rolling billow of fog. From those he'd dealt with in the past he was used to far more deadly attacks. Instead the captain raised a brow as the cold air settled around him.
The senshi looked like something out of an indy horror movie so he had expected something more similar to Firefly's friend. Instead he found himself in something that felt almost like the rift. The same strange noises, feeling of dread, only it was not as familiar as the Rift was to him.
His pet was snapping at shadows in the fog until he set a hand on it's head. "Quiet ..." He murmured to the youma.
"While a nice trick you expect something like this to stop me?" He could not hear the senshi over the sound in the fog but that did not stop him from moving through it looking for the child.

Itsuki couldn't stay here, and removing the cat from the protective folds of his fuku would risk the Mau getting eaten by a literal street shark. The youma could snap him up without too much of a thought, and as much as Themisto wanted to beat the tar out of this Captain, risking the cat was too much. Lacrimosa would never forgive him... and he'd never forgive himself.
Captain Uvarovite would walk away from this unscathed... for now.
Without so much as a word, Themisto began his shameful retreat from the Captain. If Itsuki hadn't been there, this would be infinitely easier and less guilt-ridden. The Mau, for what it was worth, was able to cloak Themisto's signature for a stealthy retreat away from the fog and up into the city's sprawling skyline.
"Next time, a*****e, you're not gettin' off so easy..." muttered the senshi, eyes boring holes into the buildings before him as he ran.
Itsuki's ears drooped, knowing the retreat was due to him. "...gomen nasai..."
