Meadow's solo growth for freshling --> junior

Meadow sat on her stump in her tree fort, coloring a picture of the day that her and Gus spent together. She smiled a bit as she thought about her best friend. It was weird, the hybrid normally felt pretty bland and void of emotions but befriending Augustus had started to change that. She never thought someone would actually think she was neat or cool; everyone else wrote her off as weird and stayed far away from her. As she finished her picture, she pulled off a piece a tape and placed the picture on her wall.

She took a seat again, looking at her pictures from over the last few years. She sure had grown and her art abilities had been improving. Art was a nice hobby and all but was it what she wanted to do in her life? One of her teachers had asked her and her classmates what they aspired to be when they were adults. How the hell was she supposed to know? Her mama wanted her to follow in her steps but alchemy seemed so much cooler! Her papa was always creating these interesting potions and concoctions! She smiled again but this time it was her usual small one. She wondered what Gus wanted to do when he was older? It sorta bothered her that she didn’t know a lot about her friend even though they’d been friends for a while now. Looks like she would just have to try harder and be a better friend! Starting tomorrow, Meadow planned to learn as much about Gus as she could and to show him that she valued him as a friend.
