Couple Q's is a game television show that is famous all over Below! Run by the charismatic Dani the Demon, the host of the show, one half of a couple are asked questions about their significant other, then the other half comes out and reveals the answer they already had written down! It's a hilarious show that has expressed how important it is for couples to communicate and be honest about each other, and while it's funny when couples don't agree, ultimately it strengthens the relationship of the couples that participate. It came into town a couple of years ago, and now it's BACK, for a new and exciting experience with Asphodel Gardens' best and brightest couples.
The grand prize is a sizable cash prize, a fully-paid vacation to a location of your couple's choice, and a secret prize that has not been revealed yet!
How this works:
You must have signed up in the Sign-Up thread beforehand to participate! Once the game begins, the Host of the game show will ask a question. One partner will be quoted, and they will send a PM to smolderingskies with their answer. Do NOT share your answer with your partner. Once PMs are being received, the second partner will be quoted answer the question aloud (in RP). If both partners answer the question the same way, they will receive a point (and a raffle ticket)! Once all questions have been answered, the raffle will be rolled for the prizes.

ROUND ONE PMs Incoming!
With a classy jingle, lights up on a stage on which Ashley, Blitz Volt von Bolt, Qadim, Sathe, Alcor, Vanna, Aydrean, Nydani, and Elliah are seated, each person behind a desk of their own. The stage is decorated with hearts and roses, truly showing the romantic environment of the show. Dani the Demon, a charismatic individual dressed in sequins, sashays onto the stage and dances to some music while the Live Studio Audience claps away.
"Couldn't be happier to join you all back in Asphodell!" Dani says, making a hushing gesture to the audience with their signature winning grin. "I love this town so much, I had hoped to come back some day - and I got my wish! And what a treat! We have so many couples tonight, this is sure to be a very special episode of---," and with the audience, "Couple Q's!"
Dani shakes their head, clutching their chest, as if they're touched by this show of affection from the crowd. "You all know the rules. Without further ado, I've got an easy question to start off with for you eight! If you know your partner at all, you'll get it right! The letters are arriving from the back, with the correct answers to this conundrum.
Does your significant other like coffee or tea?"
Those quoted below should send a PM to smolderingskies on either Gaia or Discord with THEIR CHARACTER'S PREFERENCE BETWEEN COFFEE AND TEA! The individuals on stage should not answer the question until they are quoted!
The next stage will begin when smolderingskies has received all PMs, or when 48 hours have passed (11:00PM EST on February 16).

ROUND ONE Time To Answer!
The television show plays some pre-recorded material of the couples explaining their lives together and talking about how they met while the individuals backstage write their answers down, sending them to appear in front of Dani the Demon on magical index cards.
"It looks like all our answers are in!" Dani says, giving a winning grin to the individuals on stage. "So, we're all dying to know - do you think your significant other prefers coffee, oooor... tea?"
Those quoted below should write a roleplay post of their character answering the question!

Sathe can't help but give a smirk once it's his turn to answer. "Tea, definitely. She makes tea almost every time I'm over at her room, and I can't say I've seen her even drink coffee."
He shifted a bit, trying to get comfortable in the stage chairs. "She makes really good tea, though."

Blitz's eyes went wide. Nervous was an understatement. He could feel Eti's eyes boring down into his skull.
And quite honestly, he didn't even know! He had only seen his love drink water. The few moments he had tried to make tea or coffee he had spat it out and poured it down the sink. Where was the option for neither?!
"I--uh." He cleared his throat, chancing a glance at his lover. "Coffee?" Emphasis on the 'ee'. He didn't have a clue!

Ashley clapped excitedly and scribbled down her answer. If all the questions would be this easy they'd have this game in the bag. She waited patiently as the other contestants answered. Once her turn came she flipped around her card and gave her answer.
Well Dani, I know for a fact that Rose prefers tea. She likes to read the leaves in the cup afterwards.
Nydani rolled her eyes. She hadn't remembered seeing Ivory drink anything specific, or at least nothing that could be seen through the drinking container. Shouldn't there have been an option for "neither"? What was with this game show anyway? Were there only two answers for everything? Black and white? No gray?
Ugh, why had they signed up for this again? Was there some prize in it or something? At this point she would have been okay with the complementary pizza that the contestants were promised for the end of this show.
"I'd go with coffee. She prefers coffee." Nydani said, a bit 'bitterly' since there was no "either" option. After all, some didn't like either of those two choices, or they couldn't even drink them!

He wasn't quite sure how he had been talked into this show, maybe because Mai and Kingston had tried the last time they had been in town and Mai had wanted to see how far Vanna could get. Luckily they started off with a rather easy question that he knew the answer to. It took all his willpower not to look around and see how the others where fairing with this question.
"Janus prefers Tea. He thinks coffee tastes like dirt" Vanna answered remembering how this very question had come up in a conversation only a few months back.
Qadim had to think about that one for a few moments. He should have paid more attention to what Cyndal drank but he was busy with so many twelve hour shifts with the firehouse.
"Tea. Cyndal drinks tea." He was pretty sure that there was only his coffee in the house.

This had seemed like a good idea at the time, to sign up for a silly light-hearted game show. But now that he was sitting on the stage, under the lights, Alcor was actually feeling incredibly nervous. Him and Selix hadn't even graduated yet, were they mature enough for this? Though he did spot a pair of juniors participating too, which was kind of reassuring. Oh gods, hopefully at least Mizar gets a laugh out of this.
The spotlight shifted to him, indicating it was his turn to answer. The imp cleared his throat. "S-Selix drinks coffee most of the time", he started, "but he humors me by tasting new tea blends I try out as well. But yeah, c-coffee is definitely his first pick."
That was an okay answer, right? He didn't want to make a complete fool out of himself or his boyfriend.
Elliah beamed for the camera. The lights, the stage, it was all reminiscent of her childhood. Tagging along with her parents to fashion shows, occasionally being the one up on the stage. Her outfit had been specially designed for this game and she'd made one for Chandra too. It was too bad her model was backstage and not out here strutting their stuff.
"My Chandra thinks coffee smells off, and there are so many kinds of tea to enjoy. When we visit the mall, I tend to get them tea that is flavored and caffeinated; green teas and oolong are also good though they love raspberry fruit teas." Elliah couldn't help but blather a bit about her datemate the moment the light flicked on for her. It was probably a bit more than they'd been wanting for their answers, but it answered the question.

Aydrean frowned why had he agreed to come on this again? He should never have left his house, he twisted his hands in anxiety."Aydrean?" the host called for his attention causing Aydrean to flinch. He was getting better at being outside but the whole social thing was never his style. He looked over to Akari next to him and his confidence perked up a little bit. "Uhh.. Tea. That sounds right." He really wasnt 100% sure but he assumed Tea would be a little more his partner's style.
"Alright, let's bring out your other halves and see how accurate all of your answers are!" Dani the demon whirled as a pink panel in the wall that led to backstage opened up, bringing out the lovely people who'd been patiently waiting to hear if their significant other knew them well enough to guess their favorite color. Well, it seemed that most of them knew, but the others... they were about to find out!
Ashley, you said that Rose would like tea.... and you are CORRECT!" Flashing a wink at Ashley, Dani continued on.
"Blitz - is it okay if I call you Blitz? - you said that Etienne would like coffee... and you are CORRECT!"
"Qadim, you said you believe Cyndal would like tea... and you are CORRECT!"
"Sathe, you guessed that Niamh likes a nice steaming cup of tea... and you are CORRECT!"
"Alcor, you said that Selix prefers coffee, but also likes to try tea every once in a while. That is absolutely CORRECT!"
"Vanna, you said that Janus prefers tea... and you are pos-i-tootly CORRECT!"
"Aydrean, you indicated that it sounds right that Akari would like tea... you're COOOOOORRECT!"
"Elliah, you said that Chandra would like tea... don't worry, because you are CORRECT!"
"And finally, Nydani, you told us you think that you thought Ivory likes coffee... unfortunately, you are INCORRECT!" On cue, the crowd lets out a little aww."It's alright, maybe next round you'll have more luck!" Dani grins and gives Nydani a wink.
As the audience applauded and cheered for the answers, Dani made a whirling motion with their finger. The index cards that had been floating in front of them incinerated on the air. "I'm going to send you sweethearts backstage, and we'll let your partners take the limelight for a moment." Everyone who had just been onstage were ushered backstage by a stagehand, and those who remained were urged to sit at the same desks their significant other had been before.

After a brief commercial and water break, the show came back online, and the lights shone on the new faces onstage: Etienne, Cyndal, Niamh, Selix, Janus, Akari, Ivory, and Chandra.
"That round was a little too easy, wouldn't you say?" Dani says, leaning against Chandra's desk. "Let's get you all a more sentimental inquiry this time. Who said those three little words first? Let's see what your sweetheart backstage has to say!"
