[META] The Tournament (RP Event - Planning)

A call has gone out across the herd lands, offering all interested an invitation to a grand tournament hosted by Llyn Dinas and the Sunflare Herds~!

Ice and I are organizing this as an RP event for everyone who wants to participate. The kernel of the idea was a chance for Llyn Dinas and the Sunflare to come together to forge an alliance, compete, socialize, etc, and it was suggested quite early on that all herds be invited to this shindig. We have not as yet elected a time to start the first RP of this event, we've only had representatives of both herds agree to host the tournament, ICly.

OOCly, we've sorted out rather a bit more, but not everything is nailed down!

Thus, we are opening this up for other people interested in participating to offer ideas to help fill things out better! As a bonus, if you have plot ideas or cross-herd marriages to arrange, we figure the tournament could be an ideal stage for a wide variety of major events for participating herds to occur.

Bring your warriors and mages, your marriage material and your aristocratic children on the move, AND WELCOME TO THE GRAND TOURNAMENT~!

What We Have Worked Out

How Long: 10 days*

Official Rules:
- Good sportsmanship, please!
- Leave herd wars at the door, or one or up to all involved herds may formally be asked to leave
- If you're going to start a fight, please do it only in the context of a competitive match, or your Star may formally be asked to leave
- Be courteous to hosts and guests alike, even if your Star would normally look at someone else as an active threat to their person, or your Star may formally be asked to leave
- If you have agreed to a plot that might violate these rules, please make sure the owner(s) of the other Star(s) directly involved are on board with this plot, and that any fallout is discussed prior to this going down

Organizational Notes:
- Specific events (jousting, swordfighting, etc) may be requested by participating herds
- Each herd should bring 1 prize for each event they request, at their discretion
- There will be a grand ball partway through the tournament, more could be hosted
- There will be a lavish feast for everyone every night, some could be sponsored by other herds

Stars that are not affiliated with any herd are also welcome, so feel free to bring any loners, too!

If you have any Stars from important families you'd like to see hitched, our intention is that this is a great opportunity for marriages to be arranged, especially if the herds involved are normally too far away for members to interact with each other! Romances could also be born here, as Stars that have never had a chance to meet could now meet each other and socialize.

This is also a good chance for feuds and duels within the confines of the event, even if these feelings are restricted to competition! If you have anything aggressive that you'd like to have happen, this stuff can occur, too, just please also discuss any fallout you'd like to see happen (punishment, exile, maybe someone not going home with the right herd, etc). Likewise, this could also be the birthplace for your feuds and duels between Stars that have never had a chance to meet.

Basically, bring your friendly (or not so friendly) competitive spirit, your lovers, your haters, your schemers, and let's put on a TOURNAMENT~!

- Nemeios begins to take brides in anticipation for his Nemeian Empire
- Prince Samhain of the Shadow is blinded by a fellow herd member during a combat, and loses his place in the succession
- Phlox decides to leave the Shadow in favor of joining Nostos
- Cranium serves as Head of Security for the Shadow, eventually clinching his position as Retinadeath's successor
- Dahlia decides to become a combat medic
- Grave Path will be proselytizing
- Ryar announces his retirement publicly and Kamal takes over the herd
- Anck- Su-Namun wIll make her first public appearance as Heir of A'H, her half sister Freya along with her two 'brothers' will be attending Along with Grand Pharoah Nefertari.
- Dreamer's Glass' leader is actually dying. Helki will be selecting Anahita as her heir and will send her with a small escort.
- Gunnbjorn will be attending with his heard leader. his plan is to fineness his skills more and repair any weapons and armor that might get damaged during the tournament showing off his skills for the prestige to Hearth's fire.
- Amu and her brother Rumpus From hearth's Fire attending as well both are skilled smiths
- Suli will be making alliances with the other herds
- Leo and Libra will be making an appearance, Scorpio will send Atsuseth as her representative; Aquarius' present is not guaranteed
