A full moon was always a good time in the Mwezi. Everyone was cheerful and bustling about, enjoying the gaze of the Great Lion as he watched over his children. Arashi enjoyed the hustle and bustle it created, much preferring it to the new moon when everyone would hunker down and stay inside. She was a social lioness and enjoyed finding other lions to spend her evenings with when she wasn't hunting and today she was off-duty! What luck!

Arashi stretched as she left her den for the evening, excited to spend the night having fun. It wasn't often she had the night off when the full moon was high overhead and you could bet she was going to use it to her advantage. Who knew what sort of good luck the Great Lion would bring her tonight. Gazing up ward towards his great eye, Arashi grinned at the Great Lion as she headed out.

"Hope you've got some fun in store for me," she said, her tail bobbing behind her as she padded through the light underbrush. "Can't let a night like tonight go to waste!" Breaking into a light trot, Arashi decided she'd first head to the watering hole to get a drink before exploring to see what she could find for fun.

Pushing her way through the underbrush, Arashi hummed to herself softly. A full moon was always a fortuitous night in the Mwezi and she was nearly vibrating with the excitement the evening held. Everyone would be in good spirits, even those of the high class that were still a bit sour about being told to take on helpful ranks. She'd thought it was a good idea to have everyone help - the Great Lion still favored them - and definitely didn't appreciate the stuck up former Lords and Ladies who were dragging their paws about picking a new rank. It wasn't that tough!

Finally reaching the watering hole, Arashi was delighted to find someone else was already there. The pride was pretty densely populated so it wasn't uncommon to meet knew lions, especially if they'd joined rather than having been born into the ranks. She'd never seen this male before and she was more than pleased to bound over to him.

"Hey!' she said with a grin, landing beside him after her pounce. "What a night, huh? Something about the full moon always gets my blood pumping. Not sure I've seen you before - I'm Arashi." She waited, blue eyes wide and expectant for a name in return.
