tab The Rauschlands are a Monarchy Divided, with the ever-looming threat of the Nomadic Vi'i Tribes warring against their peoples on the open plains, the same threat resides within their walls. Where once the Vi'i people were solely outcasts for their lifestyle differences or their lack of resources, now their mercantile understanding and constant movement of goods have made them Merchant Princes who have enured themselves into the political lives of the Rausch.
Arranged Marriages, major settlements, and a willingness to protect people upon the frontier for little more than the sake of community endeared the Vi'i to the common man, while simultaneously rising ire to the Rausch aristocrats, to the extent that now the Jeon family has been deemed by the people as a second Royal Family for their Noble Connections.
For their part, the Jeon family has only capitalized on this by attempting multiple arranged marriages into the lesser parts of the Royal Family.

tab The structure of the actual Rausch Ruling class is that of a Constitutional Monarchy, with the Monarchy and the Nobility acting as Regional Governors passed down by heredity. Under the notion that the Governors will act in the interest of their people directly; It has twice happened that the crown has stripped a Noble of their governance and directed it to their kin for their failure to abide by their people's health.
