Sailor Oumuamua leapt down beside Sailor Susanoo with not grace but efficiency, rising beside her friend with a calm coolness often seen not in shoujo anime, but shounen, and Susanoo made an appreciative sound when she tuirned to him, motioning lazily.

"No I got off a working attack." Oumuamua reported with no small amount of relief. "No beersplosions."

"I told you." Susanoo retorted smugly, scratching his chin lazily at her response. Oumuamua snorted in bemusement instantly.

"It's never assured to work. But it is getting there." She admitted. To her surprise, Susanoo produced a thermos and tossed it to her, before he withdrew a bottle of aloe drink for himself. Oumuamua took a drink, appreciating the fact he made effort to bring an iced coffee for her for the patrol route. The job was done now though and they both walked silently, sitting on a park bench. Oumuamua nursed her thermos, Susanoo his aloe drink, and both sat in a comfortable silence for some time before Oumuamua spoke softly.

"So how are you holding up without your family around all the time? Is it... Hard?" Oumuamua asked softly. SusaNoo looked to Oumuamua silently a moment, blue eyes catching street light as he considered her words.

"It is... New. IU... Didn't think they'd be so... Welcoming. Or supportive. Or - or.... Compassionate. Your mother sends bento to school for me, sometimes. It's an... adjustment." Susanoo fidgeted with a bottle cap before, to his surprise, Oumuamua nodded.

"Yeah, I get that. It was for me, too." Oumuamua admitted. She sipped her coffee. And she drank her copffee with the slowness of a soul in deep thought, long enough Susanoo watched in minor coincern before POumuamua spoke softly.

"I was six when they adopted me." Oumuamua began./ Her voice trembled. Soft. Quiet. "I was six. My mother died in a car accidcent. And my Dad... Well my parents were teenagers having me and Dad was in college and couldn't take me. His parents were in no position. My mom's parents didn't want to take me. So I was put up for adoption. Six. Foster care, and - nobody wanted a six year old. I was sent to a foster home with a bunch of other kids, and well. People wanted the cute girls, sweet boys, babies. I've always been... Strong in personality. And one day I was packed up and moved to a new house and to new parents. A new foster situation. Less foster kids. Just... Their kids and me."

Oumuamua sipped her coffee. She remembered that day all too well. Entering the3 Courcel estate feeling out of place, small, and afraid. She overcompensated by being a problem too. Climbing everything, running wild...

"I mean I wasn't the best behaved but they were patient. Kaida really helped me out. We connected first. Like real sisters. And we began doing everything together. Hells, I nearly threatened Hiro and Matt if they hurt her when we were eiught. And... Well one day I got a party when I was eight. They'd adopted me. And they even invited my biuological Dad. He was there. They welcomed him in the house so I had my bio Dad. Papa didn't want me to think... To think he was replacing him. So I had both of my fathers. And a mom again. Sisters. And a passport. I learned Japanese since arriving but now I got to learn on Kyoto trips to see the family. The sensiuble family and some of the assholes." A weak chuckle.

"I got used to it though. And Mom? Making bento? She likes you. I can tell Dad doies too. I guess they see you .like they see Hiro or Matt." Oumuamua motioned. "They're my sister's dearest companions. Deeper than family. Closer than friend. But not romantic. Just... Their people. Those three are miserable apart enough we've taken Matt to Kyoto. Hirto too. Actually I plan to use the Japan trip to visit the famiuly. Damnit, if you like Japan, I want you to learn about it properly. And Kyoto is a cultural dcenter in Japan. And I have-"

Susanoo interrupted Oumuamua by gently placing a finger to her lips.

"You don't need to trouble your fgamily for Gagarin or I."

"I know. I want to." Oumuamua admitted./ She let the words hang in the air before Susanoo laughed. A nervous laugh, awkward and shy. Almost... Almost but not quite timid. Almost scared and uncertain for him.

"Come on OPumuamua. I'm not... I'm not--"

"Not in name. But Mama made you bento. Dad talks to you. My family already treats you like one of theuir own. And you can suck my a** if you think Dad didn't look into your background. I do Geek Squad because I like tech and can fix it not because I huirt for money. Pops works in cyber security okay. He knows your background he knows your FAMILY'S background, he knows s**t. And they welcomed you in and look after and support you. Not introducing you would offend the family more than your face." *Oumuamua admitted.

Susanoo was silent.

"We don't have the length of cxonnection Kaida has, it souynds like. And I mean. You were my first choice for help but--"

"You don't want to be a burden. You aren't, Susanoo. You're a nerd, but you're not a burden. Just a goober. A dork. And it's opkay. I'm chaotic energy wrapped up in social issues and magical girl power with a sniffter of gamer." OPumuamua chuckled and Susanoo paused.

"....You don't... Care?" Susanoo asked. "You just think I'm a nerd?"

"A good one. Otaku. Harmless." Oumuamua soothed. Susanoo was quiet. He closed his eyes, considering his path. He picked imaginary lint on his white top. Hre examined the print on the fleeve. Considered his sphere and his words as he leaned against Oumuamua, silently resting his hand on her smaller one. There was nothing said, as they both silently sipped their drinks.

"Father wants top meet you." Susanoo finally said. Oumuamua looked up.

"Oh, isn't he a vet? I'd like that." Oumuamua beamed. Susanoo laughed.

"He is but he has... PTSD." Susanoo admitted. Oumuamua grunted.

"So? That's not all he is. Did I ******** stutter? I'll meet him. He's just worried about you, ya know? We could treat him toi a nice meal. On me."

"...Really?" Susanoo looked surprised. "He likjes steak..."

"Oh good. I can take you both to a good steak house. Relax Ototo. Don't be afraid." Oumuamua grinned. the word slipped out before she knew it. Slipped out before she stopped it. But now in the air there wqas no going back. Susano froze, blinking. His eyes widened, and he nodded. He was no man for grand display, but he reached,m embracing Oumuamua tightly, and buri3ed his face in her tightly.

"Arigatou, Pnesan." Susanoo whispered. "Domo arigatou gozaimasu."
