Bellerophon was interested in exploring everry bit of this holiday season and all the magic which was unleashed upon the city and it's inhabitants. It wasn't that bad though, he got to cuddle with the other when they got home in order to get warm, and they'd fall asleep in bed watching a movie. It was well worth it in his opinion, especially when he got Clue to watch a bl series with him before bed. Something sweet and romantic, the life he'd dreamed of before they'd started dating, it was what he'd wanted growing up while in the closet and keeping such a big secret. It was still something he watched because they were so sweet, most of the time anyway, and he just enjoyed knowing he had the same....just his own version of it.
All this being as it was Itokawa had wasted no time, when he'd arrived home from work, in telling Clue about the gargoyles that were said to attack people from the air. It was dangerous, he knew it, but between the two of them they should be safe. It was an idea, even if it might turn into a fight of sorts, it was some sort of holliday magic and thus should be investigated.
Walking with the other, hand in hand, the super senshi kept his eyes up to the sky as they were approaching a large cathedral in the city. It was an older building, it had been around for a very long time, but he knew there were gargoyles there and he was on alert as they approached slowly. He didn't want to come off as a threasst by having them approaching the building at any sort of speed, least the things attack before they were ready for it. "Looks like we're good so far." He whispered, keepign his voice as low as eh could.

Clue had heard about the Gargoyles as well and as much as he had wanted to investigate them, he was a bit wary of doing so. After all, his magic probably wouldn't be that good against solid stone. Still, New was in the mood and they were both now walking towards where the gargoyles had been spotted. He nodded at New's observation. "Still don't want to wake them up if possible." He whispered looking around at them. Itokawa's magic could probably do something to them if they were to attack. Bell's though might just make them warm and toasty. "So... how were you thinking of us observing them?" He whispered chuckling a bit. "I do want to see what they look like though. If they're the same or if they're unique in how each of them looks." The first would suggest that they were coming from the same place. The latter meant that something was probably magically turning these things into flying stone monsters. At least that's what he thought, he wouldn't be able to prove it however.

"I doubt we're going to escape waking them up, I wish we could but I doubt it. If multiples come for us I can use my magic and while they are distracted." At least he hoped they would be. "We can take a moment to observe them and see if they all do look the same of if they varry." That would at least provide some information, maybe? He doubted that someone would go through the trouble of making a whole bunch of them which all looked different. If they were being made they'd all be the same in appearence, at least he figured as much, but given the usual magic of the city he was expecting them to look different. Indicating the ones which normally inhabited the city were somehow animated this time of year.
"We just need to be quick...and we can't wake them too soon." Whispering, as if they'd hear him and suddenly leap into action, he wasn't looking forward to this but he did find it fascinating at the same time. "This city is interesting, I suppose we got lucky living in a city which is never boring." Not really. Winter could be boring in many places, al lthe snow and cold and dead trees and things, but here it was always interesting and kept people busy and on their toes. Drawing closer he kept his eyes focused...waiting for a twitch or some sort of movement, the sound of moving stone, anything which alert him to their movement. He needed to be ready, he wasn't going to allow either of them to be hurt tonight on this outing.

"Right." He said in response to New's explanation. He had already run into one of these things once this year, but that was one lone gargoyle and he couldn't remember what the thing looked like if he wanted to, it had spent the whole time attacking him and a Knight. He took his time, making sure to try and make as little noise as possible. He wished he could get up to the level they were at and observe them closely, but they would attack right away. And from here it was hard to tell what they even looked like. Wings were wrapped around some of them, obscuring the rest of their bodies, and no light within the building meant that they had to go by whatever light they did have, making it even harder to see any of them. "Can't see them..." He muttered, stopping for a bit as he tried to look at their heads.

"Don't worry, you and I both know that'll change soon enough." Because one would awaken and decide to attack them, bringing it closer to them both, he'd have to stop it and Bell would be able to look it over. "Just be ready avoid it when it comes for us." He'd use his magic as soon as Bell was safely away from the gargoyle and than he could move back in, once it was safe for him, so he could look it over. "You should take a picture or two as well - if you can." Because than he could look it over better at home, and compare others as well...if they did this over the course of the fall season.
He was right, of course he was, as he heard the grinding of stone and rock soon enough. Alert and staring he moved to push his partner back and away from himself. "Get ready to move, it's moving." And it would be coming, hopefulyl for him, if Bell moved away from him at the last moment it would come for Itokawa and only him - it would avoid his partner. There was no way it would have enough time to react,to go for Bell, before he could hit it with his magic and leave it in place long enoug hto be inspected. "We need to be fast about this." Because neither one of them needed to be hit by that thing, no doubt it was as solid as it looked, it would cost them a trip to the hospital and he wasn't interested in spending the night in the ER. Itokawa rather disliked hospitals, and it wasn't just because of wait times, but he just didn't like the atmosphere of them.
Stone rings were moving now, unwrapping, stretching, and he was standing there waiting. Any moment now...he knew it.

Bell almost let out a groan at the inconvenience. Even if he had been able to take a picture, without having flash on, it would make it much harder to tell what these creatures looked like, let alone if they were different. And of course, as if they were listenting for the word, at least one of the creatures started to stir and he was already being pushed away from New, in case the gargoyle was quicker than they thought it would be. He took a few steps back, attempting to look to see if there would be any others heading towards either of them, especially Itokawa if he had his back turned towards them. He noticed a couple more of them moving. "Well, looks like they're up now..."

"Sounds good to me, jsut keep your distance. If I can group them up I'll hit them all with my magic. Six foot distance till I use my magic though, I don't want to catch you with it." That would efeat the purpose if he got Bell with it also, he wanted Bell free to take pictures of the gargoyles...not for him to join them in dancing.
The first came fast, faster than he'd expecte3d, and Itokawa threw himself to the ground to avoid being slammed into. It was larger, not one of those skinny littler ones, this one would have broken ribs if it had hit him where it intended to. Cursing as he jumpe dot his feet, to avoid it striking him while he was down, the glancing blow he took to the shoulder turned him around with the force of it. nearly falling, as he lost balance, the dark haired senshi caugt himself and staerted to move - to run. Leading the one gargoyle, and the others that were joining to fray, on a chase. Ducking and dodging he took a few blows but nothing too serious...nothing stright on.
Circling back, turning so he was chasing a few of them, he was tryhing to group them up tight so he could use his magic on all of them. He needed to have some ahead of himself and some right behind him...all nice and lumped in close together. At least most of them were easy to handle, even though one finally got him...right in the back and sent himn to the ground. That one he hadn't seen - it was out of nowhere. When he hit the ground he rolled, turning to look upward as quickly as he could, and threw out his magic as they were all close enough now.
"Waltz of flowers." He was, he hoped, far enough from Bell but he wasn't entierly sure. His back ached, it hurt, and he was still gasping for air and panting on the ground as he turned to lay on his side so he wasn't on his back. "Get your pictures." He called out around the breaths he was taking. He didn't know how long it had been or how much longer his magic would hold. They'd need to get moving soon.

This time rather than mushrooms it's a ring of white flowers which crop up from the ground in a six foot circle around him. The urge this time, to dance, is stronger and harder to break though the spell can be broken. Like before a person can dance out of the ring, be pulled or knocked out of the ring or in some way leave the ring and have the magic and it's effects removed. This time the spell will last 35 seconds. This attack can be used twice in battle.

"Whatever you say!" Bell said as he watched his partner try to corral all of the gargoyles. He trusted Itokawa to be able to handle himself, but seeing him get hit multiple times made him want to jump in and get him out of here. But he was up every time and eventually, after one last hit, he had them cornered, and they now seemed to be... swaying? Whatever it was, he guessed it was dancing. During all of this he had clumsily taken out his phone, but managed to take a few pictures during the mess. Whether they were in focus or it would all be blurred either by all of the moment or some magic was something he would have to worry about later. "I got them now come on! We need to get out of here!" He said as he got close to the circle, making sure he didn't step one inch inside of it. "Get out of there and let's go!"

With the gargoyls swaying, dancing as it were, and a timer on his magic ticking down to the point where they'd be free to attack again he waited. He waited till his partner had the pictures he wanted and was moving closer, close enough to have Itokawa concerned. He was close to the circle, almost too close, but Bell was careful as he knew what the others magic did. Good, that was good.
Nodding his head to his partner the senshi of fairy rings moved as quickly as he could. "We can find a mirror nearby and take off through there." Because he wasn't sure if the gargoyles would give chase or how far they'd follow them, if they decided to follow, he had a feeling the stone creatures would give chase though. Reaching out to grasp the others hand, fingers lacing with the others, as he pulled the other away from his magic and away from the gargoyles.
"Let's move, my caculations say they're about to wake up." And they were not going to be pleased, he'd bet on that. He had no proof that they'd give chase...but he was nearly certain of it, and he didn't want to find out for sure. At least the city was full of mirrors for its senshi to use, someone or a few someones maintained them and even added more about the city. It left them with a lot of escape routes should they need them - like now.

He had some hope that the pictures would turn out okay, but he couldn't check them now. Itokawa was ready for them to move and he nodded towards his partner. "Yep, let's go." He said, letting Itokawa take the lead. "We're done here." And perhaps the rest of the time as well, he had done enough investigating for one month.
