No magic, no monsters, no bugs. That was the goal for tonight as Rafayel threw together something to wear to go out to the club. Just the right amount of skin showing, even if it would be under his coat, up until he got there. It was one of the last few nights off before he'd be back on site for work, prepping things for the long slog of family visits for his client before the radioactive week of Thanksgiving. There was always that understanding that his client had certain airs to put up around family, something he knew all too well. Even tonight, he still had that lingering worry over things. Once you knew about what was going on, it was hard to wave it away as something else. But the pounding music and glaring lights of the club would be a good way to drown most of that out. And he wasn't disappointed by it either when he managed to meander his way over to a newer area that he hadn't haunted before. If he decided to mess around, there wasn't a reputation people might know about. Especially when he went to get a drink for himself and sussed out the offerings to see what he was working with. Something strong but sweet enough to cover that taste of cheap liquor if he wanted to go that route, and expensive bottles up on the top that could be ordered for private tables or rooms. Nice. Leaning back against the bar as he looked towards the mass of people already dancing, he smiled and took a long drink of his glass as he decided what he felt like playing with tonight.

Going out alone wasn't Sakura's usual idea of a good time. If she was going to go to a bar or a club or a party, usually she would be with Eles or maybe Adrian. But tonight? Tonight she didn't want anyone she knew to see her like this. The gameboard had been bad the first time, nearly drowning her by filling her lungs with water. The second time though? Never again. She had watched parts of her fuku burn away, only for the skin beneath it to begin to seemingly melt as well. And that? That was more than she had bargained for. Despite feeling utterly horrid after the incident, Sakura at least managed to clean herself up a little. Tight black jeans that hugged all the right parts in all the right ways, heeled black ankle boots, and a shirt she had made recently that exposed just the right amount of skin for her, both to catch eyes and to reassure herself that her skin had not in fact melted off. Her hair was thrown up into a messy ponytail, and she had done makeup just enough to hide the dark circles that had reappeared recently. Weaving through the throng of people at the club, Sakura made her way to the bar and immediately ordered something strong to take the edge off. If she was going to deal with these god forsaken thoughts, she was going to need something to take the edge off. Drink in hand, she leaned against the bar as she stared at the dance floor, debating if she wanted to drink enough to allow herself to let loose.

Looking over at the newest addition to the bar, he took another swig of his drink before turning to set it on the counter. Looked like the woman had ordered something strong from the menu, and it had him smiling slightly. "Thinking about joining the crowd? Or just thinkin'?" He mused as he leaned just a bit closer so they could hear him over the loud music and crowd of dancing club goers. Taking his coat off finally to hang on the back of his chair, he didn't really care if he left it here since everything important was in the pockets of his jeans. At least what wasn't easily replaceable. If someone swiped his phone, no big deal, he'd just grab another in the morning and redownload everything from the cloud and remotely wipe the old one. At this point, he'd lost track of how many times he'd done it.

"Little of both I guess. Rough night. What about you? More of a people watcher?" Sakura arched a brow at him and took another drink. Looking over the man beside her, she wasn't sure what to make of him. His style was unique, she would give him that, but unique wasn't always great in her book. Motioning to the bartender, she ordered them both another drink before giving him a tired grin. "I'm Sakura. And you?" Maybe chatting idly with this person would get her mind off the horror of her flesh melting before her eyes. At least for the moment.

Clicking his tongue slightly at the mention of it being a rough night, he tilted his head in thought. "Just out after work, never been to this club before, though, but wanted to try a new place." Leaving out the reason why, he smiled at the refill on his drink, finding it funny but not letting that show on his face. "Rafayel, Sakura.. that's a flower, isn't it?" And something not as common from his usual interactions at the bars. But then again, with the college nearby, he couldn't exactly expect a lot of diversity when the frats were rushing or the sororities were out doing whatever. Leaning against the bar again, he moved his head slightly with the current track, but didn't go out towards the crowd yet. "At least this one seems to be far enough away from DCU to not be crawling with Chads, Stevens, and Brittanys."

Lips quirking into a smile, she nodded. "Yeah, cherry blossom. Nice catch. Rafayel is ....one of the archangels, yeah? I'm foggy on religious stuff but I feel like I remember that much." She sipped her drink, feeling the warmth provided from the alcohol work through her body. "Mm. It's different than my usual scene, but maybe it feels different since I'm not with anyone tonight. People make the experience, or something like that." She shrugged and finished off her drink before watching the crowd with him. "Then again, usually the places I go aren't exactly what you can find in the phone book." She usually went wherever Eles suggested for things like these, and usually they weren't anywhere reputable. She could only imagine how much her boss would cringe if he ever knew what she had been up to since meeting the odd boy. "You taking a break from the crowd or just people watching for the night?" She gestured at the dance floor, having half a mind to ask this stranger to dance with her, just for the hell of it.

"Something like that, not really a big focus of mine either." Cringing slightly at the thought of how his family had been when it came to religious views. Pulling his new drink up to sip at, it helped soften the edge of those words his family always had for him. "Oh? Not with anyone tonight? That's hard to believe, considering you look gorgeous." Leaning his glass to clink against hers, he glanced at the crowd again. "I could dance, but honestly, I'm here just for the drinks."

Sakura arched a brow and grinned at him over the top of her drink. Flattery was always well received on her end, after all. "Well thank you. You're pretty easy on the eyes yourself." She winked playfully before finishing off her drink. "Sadly, I'm on my own tonight. My usual drinking partners are busy, and they don't need to see me down on my luck like this anyway. It would ruin the fun mood."A smile and an idea. "Oh? And here I was gonna ask if you'd care to dance with me. Though I don't dislike the company as is."

Of course, he knew he looked good, at least what he showed. Still, he smiled in response. "Oh? Down on your luck? Well then, maybe a dance would help out." Setting his drink back on the bar, he took a step forward towards the crowd. "How about a dance? Then we can continue chatting."
