1. Respect everyone else in the pride, both their lions and their owners.
2. Don't take actions in the RP personally. Their lions most likely have a different personality than them, and chances are they do not feel that way toward you.
3. If you're having problems with anyone else in the pride, PM me about it. Do not PM Ushi, Soul, or anyone else.
4. Don't just randomly fight with other lions. If there's a reason, that's different, but don't pick meaningless fights.
5. My word is law. Shaitani is in charge here, and if you have a problem with that, don't join the pride.
6. Soul is also in charge here. So don't mess with her either.
I can add others as needed.

4.17.06: FINALLY got the pride mostly finished after a forced hiatus stopped progress for a few days. This forced hiatus was caused by broken internet and is hopefully fixed. Anyhow, the pride is now open.

Upon becoming an adult, Shaitani wanted to leave Ling's pride with Kun Yi and form his own pride with her. However, Ling did not want her to leave, for she was a strong and skilled huntress. Ling and Shaitani fought for her freedom until it finally ended in a draw with many injuries, and Ling granted Kun Yi to Shaitani. The next day, when Shaitani was able to walk freely they left Ling's pride with no hard feelings to start a new life in the forest.

The cave itself is a round circular entry about twenty feet across. Two branches led off from it, the one to the left going deeper into the cliff through a six foot by six foot entrance, and the one to the right being only another circular alcove, about eight feet deep and ten across with a ceiling about seven feet from the ground at it's rounded peak.
At the edge of the forest, taking up the rest of the pride, is a vast grassland, and in the distance, though past the borders, the fork in the stream. Into the pride flows a small outlet of that stream, about a foot and a half deep and roughly three feet wide. It's cool, clear, slow-moving water with flat pebbles covering the bottom.
The weather changes drastically between seasons, and in the summer can reach around 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius) and as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter. It can receive between 20 and 35 inches of rainfall in any given year. The forest gives relief to the heat in the summer, providing constant shade, keep the temperatures moderate. In the winter, the cave provides the best source of heat by containing the body heat of it's inhabitants.

If you're interested in joining Shaitani and Kun Yi's pride, you only have to do a few things. All lions are welcome.
First bring your lion into the RP, having it meet Shaitani in some way, whether independantly or through another member of the pride. Ask him if you can join.

After you've done that, I'll post your profile below and you'll be all set to go.Below are the easily obtainable ranks of the pride. To obtain a rank, Shaitani must give it to you, after discussing the matter with Kun Yi.

King
Queen
Advisor: Advises the king and queen in their decisions. Gives insight and valued opinions on important matters.
Den Mother: They are in charge of all of the kittens and cubs, and all of the den sisters. They care for the young ones, and are well-taught in the way of herbs. They also teach all of the den sisters. There is usually only one of them, and it is always a female.
Den Sister: They help with the kittens and with healing the wounds of others. There are often many of them in a pride.
Den Brother: Few of these exist in the pride, since having too many adult males around may result in a power struggle. Many times the lion will take a vow before becoming a Den Brother, promising never to challenge the King for his lands to ensure his loyalty. They help around the cave and protect the females.
Hunt Mistress: She is in charge of hunts and trains the Hunt Sisters. There may be more than one of these in a pride, depending on the number of females in the pride.
Hunt Sister: They go on hunts, many or few of them, depending their age and how many others are in the pride. There are usually at least two in a pride, depending on the number of lions in the pride.
Cub: All lions at the age of cub.
Kitten: All lions at the age of kitten.
Unranked: They have no specific rank with-in the pride, and help when needed. Most teenagers will fall under this category, and almost all adult males will as well.

 King  Name: Shaitani Mate: Fan Kun Yi Personality: To most he is distant and reserved, always hidden behind a cool exterior. Occasionally he can be cruel if he says enough. However, he has a hidden soft side that is shown rarely except to Kun Yi. He is loyal to those around him, especially those that he trusts. He is not one to cross, however, because the cruelness with-in him leads him to have a slightly short temper, especially when it comes to Kun Yi. Short History: As a kitten, he was shunned by everyone in his father's pride, partly because his father shunned him as well. The pride was attacked and Shaitani watched his entire family and pride be killed while he escaped. Eventually, his wandering led him to Ling's land, where he grew up under a strong king whom he greatly respected. When Kun Yi joined the pride, he was less than pleased with her, holding a strong dislike for her behavior. As they grew up, his distaste for her subsided as they talked, and he eventually fell in love. Upon becoming an adult, he wanted to leave Ling's pride with Kun Yi and form his own pride with her. Short History: Xiao Rou and Kun Yi's mother died from the strain of carrying twins. Kun Yi cared for the two, learning her hunting skills and knowledge in this time. She was forced to stay in Calm Karma by her sister, preferring to keep distant from all the members. The dragon lioness did not care for Shaitani's attitude and his repression of his true nature. As a cub she decided to take matters into her own hands and gave him a push. She managed to fall in love with him during this time and wished to leave with him for another land. Truely a gentle, peaceful soul, but willing to do what is needed to protect her 'family'. Short History: Ai grew up on a small island that over the years, was begingin to sink. One day, the earth shook, and out of fear, many of the lions that were members of the pride there took to the waters and left for the continent. It was there, that AI began her journies.  Name: Ayame Mate: None Personality: Reserved and Seductive Short History: As a walking peice of art, she's used to beauty before anything else, and thus her attitude reflects it. Being nothing more than entertainment in her former pride, she left to be a wandered before stumbling upon the Dragon Lands. Xiah is very sweet and kind, but, if you do get her angry, she will, well, lets just say this; You'll be able to tell. Short History: Xiah wanderes the land, in serch of a home. She hadn't been wandering long before she found the Dragon Lands, where she seems to fit in, just perfectly. Thanks to her age, she hasn't done alot in her life yet. After the long journey on three legs, the other elevated above the ground, the Forest King looked upon his lands with approval. The forest seemed to sing with life as the birds voiced their presense joyously. The tall grasses of the grassland swayed in the gentle breeze, occasionally moving irregularly as a small critter ran through.
He smiled inwardly, progressing past the border of the lands, relieved to know that a large cave was awaiting him within the forest. His body was begging him to rest as his wounds burned and his muscles ached. The first from only a few days ago had indeed taken a toll on his body, and should have stopped his travels indefinantly.
He stopped and looked where his queen had gotten to, wondering if her heavy belly had slowed her down that much.

The now-adult lioness had stopped at the stream. Kun Yi lapped at the water, finding herself thirstier then normal nowadays. The land was beautiful and spoke to her. She had seen the content look on her mates face and knew he felt the same way.
The lioness looked up from the water, ears flicking forwards and back to listen to the birdsong. It wouldn't be too long now, the insistent pushing and kicking in her gut was beginning to taper off.
Kun Yi left the stream and waddled over to her King. She felt like a bloated elephant and couldn't figure out why Shaitani still wanted to look at her like this.

Shaitani nuzzled his queen affectionately, "These are our lands," he said with a grin. "There is a large cave near the edge of the forest, would you like to go rest?"
They were both being worn down in their own ways. Kun Yi was carrying cubs and Shaitani was still injured. It was a wonder they had managed to walk so far in so little time, or at all. It was lucky that they didn't need to cross the desert.

Kun Yi nodded, purring. "A rest would be nice."
The Queen wondered how they were going to hunt like this. She was too fat and Shaitani still injured. Scavenging wasn't a big hit on her hunting list and the small game was barely filling their stomachs.

"All right, right this way, my lady," he said with a palyful wink. "After you get settled down I'll try to find us some food." He led the way to the edge of the forest, bringing to view the cliff face and the mouth of the cave. "It's more roomy than it looks."

"This is very nice." The pregnant Queen lowered herself to the cool floor, sighing in releif. It was good to rest, even if she would be moving around shortly to find a different position. This cub business was tedious. She couldn't wait until they were born.
"Are you sure you should be hunting, Shaitani?" Worried amethyst eyes went to the healing wounds. "You might reopen those."

"Well, we need food, and you surely can't hunt, so it's a risk I'll have to take," he said with a shrug, looking to his swollen queen. His expression softened, and looked around the cave, "It will be nice having cubs around here..."
