So, I was talking to a friend on the phone the other day and she said something kinda funny; not really funny, just enough to smile at. In a kind of spinal reflex from all the time I've spent online, I said, "lol," because, of course, she couldn't see me.
Now, I ask you, has anyone else ever done this, or caught themselves nearly using net-speak in rl? Or am I the only nut-ball? xp

Um, I've never really used net-speak, although I may have used it to make fun of net-speak?

nope, I've never done that. I've heard people talking that way in halo ("I pwned you nub")

I occasionally use woot, pwned, and rofl. But I watch who I use them around.

I've said "owned", "IMO" (Don't ask... something my WoW guild got me into saying over ventrilo.), and my mom said "BTW" to me once O_o.

How can you say "btw" in RL? o_O It would sound like you are spitting out seeds.
Anyhow, I joke so much about the newbies in the Welcome forum asking for friends that my bf comes up to me sometimes and says "Will u b meh fwend?" It cracks me up every time he does that.
